Thank you for reviewing this small COB light. I appreciate your straightforward explanation. 🎥🎬 Currently using the Aputure 120D and searching for a small size video light ✅
These 2 lights check all of my boxes so I’m going to source them straight away thanks to you having done all of the research! Query, if I wanted a pick up a slightly smaller battery than the VB 212, which one would you recommend?? That said, this was an excellent overview and timely, as well:-)
Happy to be helpful! I would say the VB99 batteries are really solid and you can still take them on flights with you because it's under 100Whs. You'll be getting half of the capacity compared to the VB212, but they're more manageable and you can always pick up multiple!
Stoked about this one and the 220b. I love my 60, but I always hated how the V mount was clamped onto the back. And since small rig makes the sexiest V mount batteries on the market, I was always kind of bewildered how they didn’t just have a plate built into the light. Anyway, do you know if the Bowens mount on the front is standard size? Or is it the same size as the 60? I have the little soft box and wondering if I can still use it.
I was pumped to see that you could finally direct attach it to the light! The mount is still their mini bowens-styled mount so your soft box will work with these!
The RC100B? It uses SmallRig's mini-bowens mount design, currently I believe only SmallRig sells softboxes with this mount design, hopefully they'll release a bowens adapter soon!

@@DavidZhou Heck yeah! Great move by them. So much cleaner now
What are the r9 score and the ssi for color accuracy? The cri don't mean anything
What soft box fits on this light?

Can you power the SmallRig RC100B with the VB99 Pro on 100% for long time? My screen shows red warning on everything above 85%
