Restoring A Mk4 R32 Engine Bay WITHOUT Water [ Part 3 ]

- In part 3 of this multi part series we are restoring an engine bay without water on a barn stored Mk4 R32 Golf by. We start by blowing out the loose dust and soiling and then start wiping it down with a waterless wash.
As you can see, the finished result is not perfect, however due to Storm Franklin we were unable to get the vehicle outside to use the pressure washer. This gave us the idea to try and tackle the cleaning without any water, so we broke out the waterless wash and you can see the results in the video.

Beautiful r32, I own a modified 2001 mk4 golf gti running a 300bhp k03 hybrid turbo in diamond black. Owned for 18years, just started to show it at a few vw shows.

Great work, but I'd do that before polishing (just in case I don't fuck up sth), and did you do bottom side of the bonnet?
Another good video not seen much of waterless washes so interesting to see it on an engine bay did a fantastic job, trim reaper best for tyres? Long lasting?
Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻. It’s nice to see a vehicle like this through and do a proper process with it. ZeroH2O really comes into its own with a job like this, it lifts soiling away without the requirements for a swill which is brilliant on a newer engine. Trim reaper is our go to for tyres, providing you like a more natural semi gloss style finish it’s is a dream to work with.
@@TheDetailHunters you are welcome, the h20 smashed through the grime, I’ve only thought of apc to use of engine bays but will certainly look at your product for it now, I’ve seen the water behaviour or trim reaper looks fantastic so hopefully would do the trick on tyres and last longer than a week which is the issue with most current tyre coatings 😀
