For busy/lazy beans:
-mermaid tails are returning/getting revamped! This has been confirmed by Lance twice now via live streams or other places
-no active date for when we can expect to see these, but we know that the devs are working or keeping an eye on them
-when they work on the tails, it won't just be fixing the current ones. They're planning a massive update including reworks or new mermaid rails, this update could also include work/new mermaid themed items!
-different things mentioning mermaids and featuring them are in the game, including beautiful artwork on the ceiling in the castle's heart! (art by Ixchoco)
[mermaid tails explanation]
mermaid tails are a bunch of legacy items in the game, the main difference between them being their colors. These were on sale very early in the games life, and now they aren't tradable or purchasable, so the only way you can get one is if you did back around 2018

Merman tails also exist, they essentially are the same as the mermaid tails, minus the shell bra.
As someone with a mermaid oc in rh, I'm genuinely so excited to see what the devs will do

I believe there were also multiple merman tails [I have one, Nature Merman]. They're essentially just the mermaid tails but without the shell bra things, which I'd imagine is probably more useful, since there is a specific item from the wheel you can use to put on the shells regardless of having a mermaid tail or not

YESSS i’m so happy! the mermaid tails feel important to campus 3 with all the references, especially the ‘mermaid entrance’ we had back in the old castle front/courtyard, i’m so happy we finally have some confirmation. these are gonna be so exciting and pretty! 🤍
They should do a thing where they take and make a realm where it's the different stages of what happened in Royal High and the items and stuff and then like almost call it like a flashback and make it as to where people can go in and see that like they could do that during the anniversary of Royal High when it was made or published or whatever they should do that definitely a good idea make like a flashback thing for Royal High players I've been playing almost for forever I don't know I just think it would be a good idea

LIKE yk the dressup magical settings where u can show and hide ur wings? They should add that for mermaid tails like whenever they are underwater the mermaid tail shows and hides when on land

I like this update however I think they should keep old tails how they are but make them tradeable and then just make new tails, similar to how legacy shoes and skirts are tradable but not buyable
I’m excited for mermaid tails but not extremely excited. I’m not a huge mermaid person but it would be helpful for sunset island + I love Royale high’s style and I’d love to see them take on mermaid items.
That one mermaid sunset theme will finally come to shine with these mermaid halos..

When you go to the water fairy obby, on the seashell hunt stage there is a mermaid. The tail she has is not one of the old ones and is animated. Could this be similar to what the new tails will be like?

I can’t wait for that update to come when it happens that’s is gonna to be one of the biggest greatest impacts they will do because mermaid tails were such a huge thing in 2017 to 2018 so I feel like that this is going to bring back a lot of old players back into the game!

ok i have a question, i have an acc where i had been playing since 2017 (also says so on the diary). I used to have a few (i think? i had at least 1) of the mermaid tails bc back then i didnt know inventories existed. However I cannot see it in my inventory at all. I thought the items were removed so i wasnt worried but since bea shows they are just clitched but can still be worn im very confused?
edit: on my stats also it says i have 34 unique dress up items but i counted them in the acc's inventory and its only 33 which is wierd. i dont have any doubles either.
