This is a Ramayana special episode where we dive deep into the real Ramayana story and whether our knowledge of Ramayana is accurate or not. Today, we have with us Yashodeep Deodhar, an entrepreneur dedicated to studying the Valmiki Ramayana and emphasizing the importance of understanding the Valmiki Ramayana, the original text, as a historically accurate and biographical account of Lord Rama.
In this episode, he discusses the differences between the Valmiki Ramayana and other versions, including those found in popular media. Deodhar also provides insights into the nature of the Vanaras (monkey-like beings) and Rakshasas, arguing they were not distinct species but rather human groups with unique customs and attire. He explores the weaponry and warfare depicted in the Ramayana, suggesting that the text reveals lost technologies and advanced weapon systems.
This was an amazing episode, understanding the true Ramayana. If you love our history-based episode, then this one is for you. I hope you will enjoy this episode and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Your guest is a great researcher and would be an invaluable advisor or assistant to a ruler. The Ramayana, however, confounds the mind because its central theme is the way in which this realm, with its gravitational force, works. Celebration is followed by disaster, disaster is followed by suffering, and the matter is never settled and it's never happy-ever-after. That's what it (and many Indian mythologies) is trying to convey. Catch-22.
this is real podcast .........the real example
How many days did they fight? In which month of the year?
Amazing 😊😊superb
He looks like Bhibhishana in my mind man who saw n witnessed everything in vivid details ❤
Absolutely he isn't vibhishan. He have read the original valmiki Ramayana. So he knows
Make a video of twinflame
Mantra weapons cannot be understood with that mind. They are weapons of ideation which are self-propelled, like elemental entities.
Who is the gentleman expert ? I do not see his name in the clip.
His name is Yashodeep, he runs a youtube channel called 21 notes in which he documented entire Valmiki Ramayanam in videos
How can people claim that the Ramayana happened just 15,000 years ago when it took place in the Treta Yuga of the 24th Mahayuga? We are currently in the 28th Mahayuga, making the event far older than 15,000 years. According to traditional calculations, the Ramayana occurred around 17,280,000 years ago.
The Ramayana happens once every Kalpa. In the present Kalpa, known as the Shweta Varaha Kalpa, it occurred in the 24th Mahayuga. This is documented by Valmiki Maharshi, whose Ramayana is taken as the standard because it happened in our present Kalpa. Sage Tulasidas Ji wrote about the Ramayana events that happened in previous Kalpas, as he himself has mentioned. The Ramayana is much older than we can imagine.
The Ramayana happens every day but the Valmiki version was authored at a time when there were bronze weapons and chariots.
RAVANA was indo-aryan demon king i don't why Periyar loving people simp for him
Who is good and who is bad, depends on perspective of the story teller. There are many versions of Ramayana. Valmiki's Ramayana is just one. Sri Lankans have a different story too. The Lankan version considers Ravana to be a great leader. We have Tulsidas' version, Kamba Ramayana etc.
To be honest, it is unclear how Ram knew/assumed that he would be crowned King when he goes back to Ayodhya. There are several other gaps too. Very often, Kings have stories written about them in a positive light to build legitimacy. Just like we have PMs and CMs plastering their faces to every giveaway.
Take a look at: Many Ramayanas: The Diversity of a Narrative Tradition in South Asia, edited by Paula Richman, Oxford University Press.
Everyone should practice discernment when we read something. It is important to understand: what we read, how something is written, who wrote it, at what time it was written, why it was written, has it always been written or was it orally transmitted/written by someone else who heard it? Stories also have a way of morphing with time, like Chinese whispers.
Still, fascinating story that captured the imagination of many people. Like, say, Baahubali. Good to read with an open mind about what we can learn from this.
Sir,what is meant by parigh weapon in Sunder kand used by Hanuman ji ?
@@bhavloves Ramayana is not a novel it's a religious text good and evil are already decided
@@wickeddemon8799 Okay, I respect your perspective.
Ravan was a Shaivite.
Ram was a philanderer.
Ravan brother was traitor
Ranveer often flaunts about being the most "hindu hindu" and "true Hindu" in most podcasts yet he doesn't even sometimes have the basic knowledge that even a normal Hindu has like he uptil now he wasn't even aware😮😅😄 that weapons were invoked by mantras known to individuals who had done severe penance for it and compares Vanar Sena's strategy with Tyson when it should be the converse ata kuch nahi par dinge mare hazar😂
He is a podcaster. He has to make it seem like he doesn't know many things so that the guest explains it. And the audience (who are not only hindus) cam understand it better. He has said this multiple times in the podcast that there are foreigners who watch the podcast and want to learn about hinduism, so he asks his guests to simplify things. Before you use your intellect to bash someone, probably you need to know why you are doing and if it even has any influence on anything. A true hindu like yourself should be level-headed and grounded.
@@RRR-vr7cd Bro rehne do don't try to defend in many podcasts he said he is the most "Hindu Hindu" to gain a higher ground than the guest but the guest then ask him about panchang and vikram samvat which he hasn't even heard about being the most "Hindu Hindu" and who says Mahabharat teaches us "to adjust Hinduism according to its time" and compares Agnipariksha with evil deeds of other religions we know where he is coming from just another appeaser
