I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched this video- it truly never gets old!
The combination of the truck, the footage of Heath tossing the clubs and the great interview makes for my all time favorite rolling cb interview video.
Hats off to a job well done by all on this one!
Amen
I know!! This is an amazing truck and one of my favorite Rolling CBs.
I’m with you. Probably watch this one very 6 months. Outstanding video! Just watch him shift is a master class…
My words exactly!!!! Totally agree!
I'll never get tired of seeing these guys shift the old twin sticks. I want one someday. I'd love to shift another twin someday. But too many people want them. Even if they can't drive 'em. Most guys these days can't drive a ten, let alone a modern 18.
And to think guys were pushing triple digits in trucks like these in the 70's and 80's hauling produce, nothing but respect
My dad had a 3 digits truck hauling anything that got pulled behind a big truck.
Some still do
I've been out there 33 1/2 years ppl do not understand these truck let them run fast America depends on us . Iam now reiterd out of it 5 years ago . Thanks to my diabetes putting me out . The CAPTNCRUNCH IS OUT TGC TONY
Nobody was running triple digits on bias ply tires- not for long anyway
Sweet 6 and 4 and that ol’boy really knows how to shuffle sticks #goals
You’re not to bad yourself. I subscribe to your channel and I love the 359
Anyone else felt something in your heart? I do not know how to explain it. It is like a feeling of freedom.
Old School trucks never die! Gotta give em' respect, they've earned their stripes on the open road.
sadly they do- lol i thought i was having a heart attack today behind the wheel - PTL i guess it was heartburn! now watch my S%#*!
Well technically speaking there’s not really a lot to go wrong in these old rigs.
NA.. THEY'VE BUILT THIS COUNTRY.
100% Respect they have built the road for us young drivers
Old school is the best ...Us or eu. Only old school. ..new Young driver no file driving .(eu drivers) only fast work sleep.no real life .like this. This is for me all me life .truck ...i want drive us truck .all us Canada and Mexico. ...
This truck makes me cry and brings back the great memories of the good old days. I learned to drive at 15 on a 1977 KW W900 with a 400 Cummins and a 6x4 pulling a flat in the ice and snow of the Colorado mountains where some times it might take 6hrs to go 80 miles. I went in the Army at 17 and got to drive an IH 2000D all over Germany for 4 years then I came back to work for the guy that took me under his wing at 15 and drove for him for about 4 years till I met my wife of over 32 years now I guess it helped that her dad was a trucker. After that I gave up on OTR and have be in dirt work for years from End Dumps to Double Sides and Double Bellys. Thank you Heath for bringing back such great memories of the good old days and the great trucks that me had back then not the cut back gut less truck of today where every time you look a new light is on in the dash. Best of luck and keep it up. John.
41 years old......and STILL RUNNING.
2020!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
THAT'S A TRUCK.
Can you or someone else explain why there is 2 shifters? Not a trucker so curious, thanks.
@@TheLegendBrolySS 2 transmissions, a 6 and a 4..
just how it used to be.
Mine is 51 years old and still working every day
Dang I never get tired of this interview, probably watched it 10 times or more lol I reached out to Heath too and asked him a few questions, super nice guy!
I like the IMT one too. I love this and that W900A models with the 6NZ Cats. I’m hoping one day I can maybe acquire one.
If there were subtitles in Spanish it would be better
@@bacon_frito47Why? It’s an American truck
@@shauncason5235 Yes, but I'm Spanish
As much as I am admiring the truck, that tarp job is equally stunning. Only a flat deck driver can truly appreciate the beauty of that tarp job.
Zeviander best I've seen
It's insane lmao
Zeviander has a good game to play
@@carlosterry2205 has been
Not only flat wagon drivers can appreciate the tarp job in this video. I pulled refrigerated, end dump and pneumatic wagons. Thumbs up to this driver!🙏 #keepontruckin
Beautiful old school classic truck! No REGEN, no emissions, no wheel covers and not an automatic!!!! This right here is a REAL TRUCK!!!! Great vid as always
Mr. Pink just because you don’t like a certain type of truck doesn’t make it not a truck lmao that’s like me liking KW over Pete’s and saying a Pete isn’t a real truck.
Thought I knew what I was doing in my 10 speed till I saw those two shifters🤤😓. Whole nother animal rt there, P.S. they need to show idiots in driving school how to shift like that. We'd have alot better drivers out here
Demetrius Davis I never said I didn't like a certain type of truck. Regardless if you like a Pete, KW, Volvo or International or whatever, you have to admit that this is a beautiful truck and on top of looking nice it's old school!
Demetrius Davis I think he was commenting on the lack of pride in trucking and the trucks themselves.
I don’t see the appeal of constantly having to jerk a stick in an 18 speed transmission. And it’s certainly no justification of manliness like so many of you imply unless you’re insecure about your manhood.
2:02 shifting with his pinky out, because he's a gentleman.
Jeez, man is a real champ. Riding these old girls is the deal.
Takviye vites.
Que caja es esa de 2 palancas
36:06 Explains why the pinky shift.
Simply put when you have almost 2x your horsepower in torque, you don't really want to be slamming into every gear.
My little Ford Focus Doesn't care about the no clutch shift and grinding it till a gear is found (or the new neutral), but under load (80k lbs, as said by the driver) you'll find the weakest link of the transmission/drivetrain quickly.

Must've watched this video 50+ times now.. it's an all time favorite.... Such a beautiful perfect truck and driver that fits it... The sound of that big CAT is a symphony of pure Bliss !!

Best Kenworth I''ve ever seen, beautiful rig Mr. Heath got there.
I was born in 1979 and my first truck that I lear how to drive a 18 wheelers was a long hood 1979 KW in Mexico for trafusa tank lines, god bless
I saw this video a year ago and its still my favorite truck ever.
This guy is spot on! He is a perfect fit for that truck and that truck is a perfect fit for him.😎👍👍👍😎
That's because he's old school, not some young punk in a Swift truck
Or whatever company white Cascadia, trying to pass or do some other dumb shit.
man that's one sweet rig keep it up much love 3c
BigHoss P&R like the beginning of the vid when he merged on... cascadia van driver wouldn't even wait till he got up to speed... those dumbasses in governed slow plastic shit have no idea... this ol girl would walk all over them with gears leftover
John badger wtf bud I drive my dads old truck BC he doesn't drive anymore BC his back so he gets paid from the gov BC he served his country for like 15 to 20 years that's looks like that truck in the video but I'm 18 bud so I don't now want the hell you TALKIN about
Love this truck! Seemed like a real down to earth kind of guy wish there were more truckers like him on the road. You can tell he takes pride in what he does not many left like this guy.
Now it's all acronym catastrophes
By far my favorite car out there & a true throw back to what trucking used to be. Heath is a class act.
Am I the only one who loves hearing the engine braking??? It sounds amazing!! :D
Legend Driver with a Legend Kw900A So much respect and hats off 10-4!!
he is really amazing
hope you doing good
That is one badass rig

Isn't it weird that the Americans made their most beautiful cars during the 50's end sixties and their most beautiful trucks during the 70's? Mr. Church can be real proud of himself, perfectly maintained and a gorgeous beast! Wow! I whish you could film some more of the inside of this black beauty.
Exactly I wish I could go back in time..
Here 4 years later….👍. I like watching him shift, straight-up chill mode, no hurry, just letting it happen.
love the twin stick boxes i have a Diamond T 980 with a 4 x 3 set up and i can guarantee you wont find any one on their phone while driving it.
That's a classic beauty right there. Another fantastic interview with a gorgeous truck and a stand up driver. Respect to all of you truckers out there. You keep the world turning
This is Hands Down my favorite video! I've lost count how many times I've watched it!
Awesome rig. Totally old school. One day i want to build one up. But a pete though with a 3408 cat with the 6x4. Love the sleeper. Love your take pride in your work attitude. More ppl need that these days. Bin flat beddin or step deckin over 27yrs now and i m same age as you and still learn things. Theres room for real independents like us. This truck is perfect. What a work of art.
80 thousand pounds, Amen brother. The business doesn’t need autonomous trucks, it needs skilled and knowledgeable operators.
After 30 yrs of driving myself thats got to be one of the smartest thing someonse ever said.

After 29 years behind the wheel I have have seen too many GREAT truckers loose the fire they once had for this great American trucking job I love so much😎 it’s in our blood 😎
Looks like 80 thousand gears too
@Jason Thomas
lol
I agree 100% on Heath's opinion on ELD's and where the trucking industry has headed. I spent 25 years driving trucks, and had all I could take by 2008. Yes I miss driving trucks, but I miss the days when I first started. You were out there doing your job and you didn't have big brother riding along, there were no GPS, ELD's, tattle tales, just you and your truck. Yes I still have my CDL just in case, heck I've had my truck drivers license for 38 years, why give it up now. Yes I'm one of the folks who was grandfathered into the CDL license. I'm praying with the help of the good lord, I'll retire from my current job and just enjoy my retirement. Thanks Big Rig Videos for all these rolling interviews and to all my fellow drivers still out there, stay safe and keep it between the ditches and we'll catch you on the bounce around. Take care, Rich S.
I keep coming back to this video after all this time. Can't get enough of it. By far My favorite video.
Never a better vid, Chris! Never a nicer, more credible, more genuine person as O/O to visit with. And maybe the best truck/trailer unit combo you've filmed. Loved every second of every aspect of this. This gent really has his head screwed on straight and his ducks in a row. Lots of us would like to be just like him. Thanks for giving us the glimpse into a real truckers world.
One of the most impressive trucks ever! Thanks Chris!
What a beauty! In my day, we called it 'sheeting and roping'...a skill all in and of itself!
Nicely done!
Watching for the third time. Every time I see something I didn't see the time before. Truly outstanding example of trucking history.
Another awesome interview, absolutely love these. Thank you both for taking the time out to do this. That is one gorgeous ride.
OMG that truck is beautiful. Love your videos I'm so addicted to watching them!!
This is one of my favorite interviews. Owner is true to the passion of keeping the old beauties alive !! Totally awesome!!
First time I talk my flatbed trailer down to look like a parachute going down the interstate that was back when one of the truck drivers he said he'd help me put it on there the right way if I'm going to go in and pull over somewhere and we both got up there and put it on the way it supposed to be in tarp I really appreciated his help whoever he was
Chris, you've done a lot of awesome videos and they are greatly appreciated!! I love everything about a big rig and I drive one myself. This video here of this young fella does a wonderful job of driving and handling his truck 😊
Magnificent truck! Almost brought a tear to my eyes thinking about the 73 W900 I started my driving career in. This truck puts my old 73 to shame. I’d be so proud to drive equipment like this.
NOW THATS TRUCKING! What a beautiful truck.
This is such a beautiful old classic flatbed truck. I really appreciate that you guys share it with us.
One of the most beautiful trucks I have ever seen! Heath you are amazing to listen to. Safe travels man!
Beautiful, two tone paint with a great sound.
I love that Jake at the end
A work of art, cant be duplicated this day and time.🇺🇸😀👍
Hello Eddie how are you doing today and how is the weather treating you over there?
@Hello Eddie how are you doing
I dont know what is nicer....the truck or that tarp job!
Love this Rollin interview! Love that truck...it's near perfect...right engine for the job! Need more like this. Love the older iron!
That truck is as good as it gets. My favorite so far. Thanks for another great video Chris.
This guy is awesome and you can see his devotion to the job he does and that tarp looks so damned neat and tidy a sign of pride in the job and this man is as good as it gets
I’ve watched this video countless times. I’ve never drove on the road, but I worked on these trucks at a KW dealer for several years and loved them. Peterbilts too. This has got to be the sharpest W9 I’ve ever seen. The sound, the paint, the clean stretched deck and skirts. Just a beautiful truck all around. And the 6/4 makes it that much cooler. (I tried driving one once and failed miserably lol, never got a chance to practice after that, didn’t see them much). Great video!!!
This is my third time watching this... never gets old. Love the truck and the trucker. Great set up!
Really like the in cab video with the exterior rolling video. Makes it nice to see the driver, feels like you are actually getting to know him and see what he is doing in conjunction with what's goin on outside.
Was subscribed to your channel awhile back and then when that RUclips thing was going on I was apparenty unsuscribed to you along with a bunch of other channels.
Keep up the good work, you are the best.
I love driving with all my heart, i came from a truck driving family on both my mom and dad's side. My dream, the ONLY thing i ever wanted to do. I learned by watching in the 80s,90s.
This will remain the best video of them all. His fingers when shifting 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

I know this is from 5 years ago but what a beautiful truck and a beautiful story from a professional something that is lacking from the industry today I'm so sad to say thank you for being out there and keeping old school alive. And oh yeah I almost forgot that is a beautiful tarp job.
The real King of the Roads , so glad I found this channel.
Man that rig is sweet! About as perfect as the one I see in my dreams!
That’s probably the best sound Jake brake I’ve ever heard! 🤤🤤🤤
A show-quality rig that actually hauls... I'm in awe...
That's a Beautiful rig.
And my hat is off to you sir for operating that split box with the ease that you do.
Man, I love when you run down I49. I've resided in Joplin & Ft. Smith & I know that stretch of highway very well. I got giddy when I saw you pulling out of the Petro there in Joplin. Thanks for your awesome videos & sharing these sweet, sweet rides with us! Be safe & keep rollin'! 🤘
Damn 1000 horsepower... No words needed😊
I don’t drive truck, never have, want too! This video I have seen 50+ times it is hands down my favorite video on RUclips absolutely love it! Thanks for making always makes me feel good!
Everything about this truck is gorgeous, even the way she leans when he's making a turn. A subtle beauty! Videos like this really makes me miss trucking and being on the road.
Great truck, great filming and great driving, well done guys, love this!
Wow! That was a great one Chris! A plus interview!👍
Seeing a clean, dressed-out rig rolling down one of our great Interstate Highways is a thing of beauty!
If they ever make a new version of the smoking the Bandit this truck should be the main truck for the show.. very very beautiful rig
Thanks Chris, this is why I love America, an o/op can still build a truck that they really enjoy driving where as over here we are so over regulated it is virtually impossible, the DOT. just would not allow it. The trucks on sale in the European market just don't have any character, they have no soul, i'm not saying their bad trucks, just uninteresting. I know it's all about fuel economy and aerodynamics, but to me this guy has got it totally right, if your an o/op and you spend most of your time down the long road and can afford it why not! once again thanks for another great truck and interview. stay safe man. pat. uk.
pat sellars greetings from Atlanta Georgia!!!!! and stay safe out there
Hey there Mario, i bet it's warmer down there in Atlanta GA, it's 2c and 10.30 pm here at scarborough north Yorkshire uk, are you a trucker?
pat sellars yes sir going on 3yrs in the industry, I have a huge love for the old school trucks so I'm thinking bout buying my own next yr and eventually putting together a build!!!! 2°c man I can barely handle 20 or 30 ° in GA, but I do wanna visit the UK smh
Mario, sorry I didn't get back to you, I had gone to bed what with the time difference and all, it's great to see new guys like yourself getting into the industry, having retired after 34 yrs trucking 26 as an o/op it's fantastic to see somebody with a great attitude like yours, good luck with the build and make your dreams a reality, best office window in the world! stay safe man. pat. uk.
pat sellars sorry for the late reply, that's awesome, very experienced and I love hearing stories from guys that been in the industry, you got a bro down here in Atlanta, and that's a big 10-4
WOW, what a great video. Some of the best camera work along with the best sound all wrapped up in one film. Heath, thanks for taking the time and effort to school us on twin stick methodology. You've got an awesome rig that's a real traffic-stopper.
Awesome video, Thanks for posting and extra thanks to the driver for doing what he did to make the video but also for the things he does as a driver to keep our country supplied.
Wish these videos would come back. Nothing else like it on RUclips..

wow awesome video mate that has to be best on youtube man i am speechless about that kw just amazing thanks for posting keep up the good work mate
The interior is very masculine. Everything about this screams I'm from Oklahoma and this is how I take care of my truck.
I always come back to this truck. To this day it's my favorite. One day I hope to be able to customize a W900a.
Just seen this truck this morning hauling a cattle trailer in South Charleston Ohio he's added a few lights but wow what a sharp truck
Brother, You are Absolutely Correct on pretty much Everything you said. I started driving a truck in 1977. I learned from 2 men, Lanar Cluff and AB Nunn... They were OLD school Truckers. They started in the 30's and 40's... That is the work ethic I learned and the way I was taught to drive a truck. It has changed ALLOT! There were things I used to do in the old days in the 70's and 80's that you Just Can't do anymore... Thank you for this clip. I am in the process of buying a 61 KW Needle Nose... I am going to restore the Ol Girl. I have been looking for a 59, That's the year I was born... I Still might find one!:~)
Best of luck with the restoration!
Loved it, excellent interview, great sounds....well done!!!!!!
What a pleasure to watch someone who knows how to shift with throttle and feeling.
Beautiful # 73 Kw 900. One of the favourites. That’s a real trukker with a real Trukk. Loved the 3 - C interview. Cheers Boys
Just for the hell of it I don’t like Kenworth trucks , but I like this one! I don’t drive trucks but this video fulfills my desire to to be able to drive for a living. Just really enjoy these rolling interviews because they are well done Ana answers every question I could possibly think of. Interviews are amazing! I drove from Colorado to New Mexico yesterday and a semi was behind me and I watched him for at least 50 miles and was so impressed with how professional and considerate he or she was driving , it was amazing to watch in the mirror. Anyway thanks for all the incredible and informative videos you provide. Love your wagon that you use to photograph with. Quality is just amazing. Hope idiots fucking with trucks watch this and all your interviews and will see that truckers are important and outstanding ! Really made my day.
