I know this is a joke, but technically i think it was canon that David and Wes were straight since Blaine said they weren't and had girlfriends. I just oddly remembered that moment now after all these years.
The Warblers here complete their transition to the dark side with the leadership of the bad guy Hunter Clarington, which they already started with Sebastian Smythe. However, they also reach their artistic peak, without, of course, detracting from the legendary era led by Blaine.
