    Newt felt like a background character in his own franchise

    I really wanted to see the series focus on Newt and the fantastic beasts! They should make separate movies, the Dumble/Grindle prequels complrtely apart from Newt/Beasts adventures, and then they'd see what fans actually want to see.

    The major factor in the Beasts movies doing poorly is fans sadly refusing to give money to a virulent TERF spewing hate and utterly betraying the lessons of equality and acceptance from her own books. As long as she declares every Potter dollar as supporting her views, the franchise will suffer.

    People really didn't bother to do their homework. We were told how the prequels were ALWAYS going to be about the Dumbledore vs Grindelwald saga. They said that in a few interviews after FB succeeded in the theaters. The problem was WB chose money over competent storytelling. They wanted the films to reach a more "family oriented" audience, which meant more cutesy wittle creatures even though they had no place in the stories. WB also insisted on signing the actors from the first FB film into multiple movie deals even though they, like the creatures, no longer had a place in the stories moving forward.

      It’s awesome, I don’t understand why people hate it either. Newt fits perfectly into the story. Grindelwald appeared in the first one, so it’s only natural that Dumbledore would appear in the next. Plus, the writers all said after the first one that this would connect to the Dumbledore vs. Grindelwald conflict.

    I don't think J.K.'s philosophical and basically scientificly accurate thoughts could've played into this at all.
    The community you speak of is small. Very small. People might support but they have no idea what they are really supporting because they haven't thought deeply enough about it anyway.
    The movies just weren't the best unfortunately. The story was all over the place and didn't make sense. Lots of member-berries and scattered ideas throughout.
    What happened to Nagini? Why did the Chillin bow to Dumbledore when he's clearly NOT pure of heart? If anything Jacob was. But he was the most boring character too. So maybe he wasn't fully fleshed out? Idk just a couple off the top of my head.
    Crazy how backwards this world is. The 3rd movie killed Dumbledore's character for me and the Wizarding worlds innocence of the OG 8. I will never recommend Fantastic Beasts.

    The series didn’t fail. Some people just can’t understand complex plots. I had no issue following them. Plus, David Yates confirmed that’s he’s “sure [they’ll] be back” and that the series “is parked.” You can start a parked car. The series is great!

    • @BrD4GOD
      @BrD4GOD 4 дня назад

      Na man. The reviews and the critics are bad for a reason man. Complex plots. Lol like you're the only one who can understand them or something? Like a good story and character motivations can't be understood at all. Oookkaaayyy lol

      @@BrD4GOD No man. Use logic. Why would they dedicate a them park, rumored Jude Law project, and new tours to what you deem a “failure”? The films are great! Most people aren’t that smart, and that’s a fact.

    • @kevincobble934
      @kevincobble934 4 дня назад

      @@BrD4GOD I’m not trolling. The films are very good. How is it trolling that I enjoyed seeing an expansion of the Wizarding World, a young Dumbledore, more Deathly Hallows lore, Grindelwald at his prime with the Elder Wand, other Wizard Communities and Ministries, the concept of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook adapted to screen, and Dumbledore duel Grindelwald? Crimes of Grindelwald expanded on the darkness from Deathly Hallows. This is a story that expanded the lore in a good way. So you’re saying that I’m trolling because I have a different opinion than you? That’s not how this works. I’m sorry that you feel so closed-minded.

    • @BrD4GOD
      @BrD4GOD 4 дня назад

      @kevincobble934 No, I think it's cool to see them expand on the lore a bit. But the execution wasn't good man. It was just ok.
      Personally the last duel was so underwhelming. It just doesn't make sense the whole blood pack thing. And their "love" which as a Christian I think is wrong anyway, take that as you will, was never expanded on at all. Like lots of things. Like where did Nagini go? She was there and then she wasn't. The actor change was shocking to me, and there was never enough charisma attributed to Grindlewald anyway.
      It's just underwhelming in general.
      I'd love to hear why you like it so much. I've heard people really try to repair the plot, but to no avail.
      For me I really liked the OG 8 movies. They were all great and had a purpose. Some plot holes and things left out of the books but still great.
      This series, with all of the issues, doesn't work.
      Anyway, I appreciate you talking with me about it. I am really trying to just pick people's brains by disagreeing to prove why it's good or bad to me. It's opinion, but general concensus is usually valuable, hence the scores both audience and critics. Usually you can tell if it's politically motivated. The 3rd movie here is chocked full of modernity too. Which turned me off a bit.

    These movies marked the downfall of the magic of Harry Potter. Now look at all the mainstream normies flocking to Harry Potter and over-consuming needless merch that never needed to be available to anyone at all. These new fans and social justice warriors have turned what was once a mythical fandom into an almost fast food commodity.
    These movies were okay at best, there was nothing "Harry Pottery" about them, beside the fact they were in a world of magical creatures and used wands.
