There was definitely a bit of a culture shock. In China everything is so convenient with all the apps. In Ecuador, I can't even find an online listing of all the buses that run in my neighbourhood.
I had to remember which one of my many Canadian Content Creators that did an Ecuador series had this specific Mercado in it. Checked Ayngelina then you, bingo! I am heading to Quito this Saturday for a quick in and out but made Mercado Inaquito on the to visit list because it is so close to where I have my appointment, so excited. Brown Food Tastes Good!
We thought that the Ecuadorians are mostly blacks as we watch their football team players, but this video proved us wrong.😁 By the way, if you use plastic spoon or fork to get the food to eat, it won't be so tasty compared with chopsticks, stainless steel fork and spoon, or using hand.
Chocolate is made from Cacao Beans Chocolate is not grown but cacao beans are.. LOLOLOL Thanks much for your great video !! I ll be moving to Ecuador in a few mos and cannot wait to live in that beautiful country !
Haha. I know. I was going to put a silly graphic in showing a plant but replacing all the flowers with chocolate bars. I also said coffee plant I think, which should be coffea plant. Cut to a plant with cups of coffee hanging off it.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap hahahahahahaha great idea.. lol.. I cant wait to taste me some of that realEC coffee.. must be strong as Espresso.. lol.. are you still ibn Ecuador or did you just visit.. ?
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Oh cool.. I hope to meet you.. I will be in Cuenca by end of January I hope .. please send me Friend request on FB: facebook.com/bluesenigmaband
.11:52 poor Pablo, he thought you were going to give him that "chicharron".........lol......you did not share any of your food with poor Pablo...........pablito clavo un clavito, que clase de clavo, clavo pablito........lol
The good part of speaking Portuguese is that Spanish just sounds like a Portuguese dialect lol. I have been to China but with your videos I see there is a lot to discover in my own continent.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Yes, I intend to come someday to Peru, I'm quite interested in ancient history. Hope you are having a great trip, and if you ever come to Brazil I would be glad to give some help if needed.
Very cool video! I love the casual live commentary of each place you go. What gear do you use when walking around? The Audio is pretty decent for such a loud place :)
I have an old GoPro on a Feiyu gimbal plus a Boya lavelier mic that hooks up to my smartphone. Best $20 I've ever invested in my equipment. I have to sync the audio in post production, but it's so much better than the camera mic.
Me gustan sus videos y aprendo más de sus costumbres
What a change! From China to Ecuador.

That pig at Hornado's was smiling. So happy you were eating him. No, seriously Ecuador looks amazing. Looking forwards to seeing more.
If I was that delicious I'd be smiling too.
regards from quito as well
RUclips just recommended this one again. Happy times!
I've been craving that pig, but it's a bit too out-in-the-open right now for me.
Muy bueno.
I would’ve got the kid a plate of food. He might’ve been hungry. Great video!
It's always Pork O'Clock somewhere! OMG YES! Lol that kid just made it funnier.
Haha Pork Oclock , another fellow Harald Baldr fan 😎😎😎
@@AStupidTourist LOL man is he missing? It's been a few since he posted!
I love the way you enjoy Ecuadorian Food...
Your little friend was so cute! I love your videos! Hoping to retire in Ecuador very soon!

Pablo totally stole your show. You should get him to co-host for the whole series :D
I went back to the market on Saturday and he wasn't there. Should have got his WhatsApp.
Keep up the good work Ryan! I'm living vicariously through you!
I appreciate it. You should come to Ecuador and experience these things yourself though.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap One day for sure!!
Thank you for making these videos
Don't confuse eggs and shellfish, lol!
The Kid melted my heart with his interest.

"It's John Mayer!" lol 😂. I totally think you look like him.
Triple threat: presenter, cameraman, editor. Oh, wait... Pablo was on camera. Can't wait for more of the old Equador!
Pablo deserves credit. That subtle tracking shot... I thought Roger Deakins took over.

Good to see your video again!
Thanks. Every week on Thursday I should be releasing a new one. This week's video should be a big one.
Totally chill video. Real cool, man I gotta take you to a bunch of places when you have a chance. Hornado you gotta get it at my fav shop
That'd be great.
Uno dos tres!
Man he wanted you to share your food..why did you not share with the cute kid?😂😂

I've never been to Brazil, but I'm hoping to go while I'm here. Chile, Peru, and Argentina are all great places to travel.

Great videos of Ecuador my friend, good explanation of food for your viewers, thanks for that, checkout my videos for some volcano aerial views
Were you worried about the kid grabbing your camera and bolting?
No. His mom worked at the booth right in front of me. Plus I think I could of caught him and beat him up real bad.
First video from Ecuador and you are already having lunch with the local mafia boss. You're lucky he let you keep your camera.
I had to pay him a protection fee - 1 chocolate ice cream. Worth it for the level of security I got.
It must be hard from cashless to cash. In China one phone can done anything.
Oh yeah. I've left the house on more than one occasion with no money, did some shopping, and then realized I couldn't pay. 😞
