Diana was 15 here, although I think nearly 16. She's an astounding talent. Vocals, performance, presence... Never known anyone so young so talented in this field. Btw, I agree that a good reaction video comes at it cold - research can be done later. And when you do research this young lady you'll be very moved and inspired. Her background is about as cruel as it gets and now she's shining like a light - a light I think that will only grow as her talent is recognised more and more. Thank you for contributing to that.

Diana is a remarkable young woman and an absolutely stunning performer. She had a very hard early life due to maternal abuse. Her speech abilities were severely affected. Her adoptive mother enrolled her in singing classes as a form of therapy. You can see the results. Probably one of the youngest contralto singers ever. There is a video out there of her singing Oh, Darling at the age of 10. It was a live, one shot take in a radio station. It’s shockingly good and you can see hints of that dark rich tone already.

"EPIC" is correct! I'll bet the judges couldn't believe they got to witness this performance free of admission! So glad "this generation" has a chance to hear "Wicked Games" by Rick Isaak. It is a classic and if you've never heard of the late Roy Orbison (or even Elvis!), you will hear the sound of a timeless era that was as naturally beautiful as its stories were pure of love. Kudos to guitarist Jame Calvin Wilsey as well for his hauntingly beautiful intro. ...And the set designer captured the essence and depth of the song along with the "wicked" vocals flowing out of Diana's mouth! BTW; Please forgive me folks, but not only is Cynthia more beautiful than a Kardashian, but Albert is blessed and is richer than King Solomon to be treasured with what appears to be a wonderful union. Great couple surprise after watching Diana sing one of my all-time favorites! God Bless you both!

One of her best performances is Rechenka, an old Russian Folk song, yet arranged with a modern flare and performed one year earlier than wicked game, so Diana was 14 at the time for Rechenka. So you've never heard this young woman before? WOW - have you got a sleigh ride ahead of you!!! I'm 66 and in all my years of musical love I have NEVER heard anyone like Diana. She has an astounding power and depth to her vocals. If you research her childhood you will find a pretty gruesome past for Diana BUT I believe this is what has made her what she is today (17 now). Her natural abilities combined with her strong character AND a LOT of very hard work with her vocal coach who sadly passed away on the 16th Oct this year. Very rare true contralto, who can also yodel! She had just turned 15 when she did this one. You really need to see the one before this one "Rechenko", when she was still 14, its better!

About the competition:
International Children's Vocal Competition “ You are super! Ты супер! "
Season 2 2018 (winner Diana Ankudinova)
Season 3 Super season: best of the best called back including Diana Ankudinova, won again.
It's an incredible show in which talented children without parental care have a chance to express themselves and demonstrate their vocal abilities to the whole country.
Over the years the project "You are super!" the show helped young stars to reveal their vocal talents and take their first steps into
a professional musical career. Some participants fulfilled their dream and found their long-awaited parents.
In the first two seasons, the project involved children from Russia and the CIS and Baltic countries
- Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia and South Ossetia, as well as from Germany and Syria.
There are no chosen mentors, nor turning chairs, they only vote to decide who should go to the semifinal and final. (Sometimes early to reassure, also when they hear something unique,
sometimes when there is pause in the music, or they just watch and experience the performance and push late.)
About Diana Ankudinova:
Diana's sad story that she was abused, beaten and was thrown out to the street by her biological mother when she was very little (~5),
unable to speak. Then she met her future foster mother, who took her in, raised her. All ok since then.
Fun fact that Igor Krutoy the bald jury in this show who is a composer saw her performances and offered a flat in Moscow
so Diana and her family can move there and Diana could continue her studies in the best schools.
So I got my ticket for this journey by subscribing, and happy to go with you on your journey exploring her talent.
