Nice, you are the first person who got Air with 16Gb. Certainly you are very smart and intelligent. Another thing is you got a metallic stand when rest of people got wooden one. As for a metallic one, a protective case is a must.
Heyy, love the unboxing video, but I thought I should let you know. A keyboard cover is actually extremely bad for a laptop because your laptop has a ventilating system, and the keyboard is a part of it. So if you cover it, the laptop will have to work harder and could lead to it overworking. So it's best to not use a keyboard cover :)
There's no fan on the macbook air. Though, using a case is really not advisable. because they're so fragile. just get a macbook sleeve or a skin for scratches.
16 GB RAM is very recommended for multitasking and for those who plan to use a lot of programs at once. 8 GB is preferable for most users who don't multitask as much. I currently have 16 GB installed in my desktop and will be upgrading soon to 32 GB because a majority of programs I open. Unfortunately with just three Chrome tabs open it uses about 2 GB of RAM.
I bought the silver one a month ago but I will only open it on christmas day... Still not sure I made the right choice going for silver but hey, just a color...

on your first usage, did you have to empty the battery level (0%) right before fully-charging it? my mac is coming in a few weeks, and i’m not really sure what measures should i note to protect the battery :((
Ahh I did not wait until the battery level 0% during my first usage, once it is low battery i charged it. I'm not really sure what are the most effective measures to take, but i think making sure we do not over charged our laptop would help!

Congrats in pursuing your study in IPG! Actually any laptop is fine as long as you can do basic things needed in college such as the words, ppt and stuff, hp and asus works well to and affordable! no need to purchase macbook as it is a bit expensive. And i would suggest choosing laptop in smaller in size ( 13 inch as example) because it would be easier to bring around. Heavy laptop is a big no no for me 😂

I feel like the hinge on my mabcook air m1 is tight. When kept idle for longer periods of time then i am not able to open the lid with one hand infact the keyboard part also lifts up. Do you also face same issue or feel like the hinger is tight ?
I got mine last week, something however bugs me. When I open the lid and shoots up fast for a couple cm, probably due to the magnet afterwards it’s normal opening again. Does yours do this as well?

Hello! I would recommend you to get msi modern 14/15! The starting price is around rm2.3k in malaysia for i3 8gb ram 512gb ssd but I would recommend you to get at least an i5. You should also try looking for msi thin gf63 😁
Ahh i’m not really sure about it, but some of my friend are using Asus as well, but probably better search for what important things needed for a design development and gaming either on the choice of GPU or CPU etc. Then try looking for laptop that fulfilled the requirements needed!
Hi is your Macbook still fine with the casing and keyboard cover on? I bought one recently and was afraid to buy a casing and keyboard cover because aside from the cooling problem the case is said to damage the edges and the cover can burn through the screen.
@@shaden6670 Go on the apple website (or the apple education website to get some discounts) then select mac then macbook air, there are 2 versions, one with a 7 GPU core and the other with an 8 GPU core. Once you've done that there should be different drop down options that say memory (£180 - £200 addition to upgrade), Storage same price to upgrade and then education bundle (if on the education website) or pre-installed apps on the normal website. Then go to the checkout. I hope this helped you and didn't confuse you 😅

U can use external ssd if 256 is not enough. 256gb storage + 16ram better than 512gb storage + 8gb ram.
