Unless you're studying something like graphic design or programming, or you know you'll be using very demanding software, you'll have plenty with 8gbs! As for storage, whatever you feel most comfortable with. 512 isn't bad at all, but you can always purchase an external SSD to save files and stuff in it. I hope this helps!

I recommend removing all stickers from inside the laptop. By leaving them near the inner corners you Tun the risk of scratching the Retina display of your screen. It’s very delicate I’d hate for it to be permanently damaged ☹️😭
