I can't help but notice how slow the stamina drains while you're in demon mode. I really like this, considering how it used to drop like a rock back in the older games.
Was never that bad, I never felt the need to use juice with liberal use of demon mode but that is still quite nice
To be effectiv we need dash juice in older games otherwise demon mode is out in 5-10 sec. In my case I need at least 3-6 sec mostly to position myself in a good spot to hit the monster hard with a good combo.
Maybe before the archdemon gauge was a thing but after that you really don't need the juice
I main dual blades, and the stamina depletion was even worse with monsters that can give you iceblight...
One thing that put me off about DB in previous games was that going into Demon Mode basically meant that I'd completely run out of stamina if I ever needed to dodge more than once.
This game proofs that running like naruto makes you faster

what weapons?
Don't want try to limit what weapons you should try but just so you know ranged weapons aren't noob friendly. At least in previous games.

You're getting your animes confused. Thats Naruto, not attack on titan.
The spin attack down the back is Levi's most badass thing in AoT, so yes, there's AoT there.

mikeespain actually Levi holds one blade forward and one backwards, Mikasa mimics this after they fight the female titan in the titan forest.

Just a note for the duel blades, you can run up and launch off some walls into an attack (Midair Spinning Blade Dance, the same attack that you get if you jump off the ledge) if you press circle next to them. I have found that this only works with walls that do not lead up to a ledge. you can test this out in the practice area on the tree with mushrooms next to the fighting pole. You can also follow this up with a triangle attack to deal more damage (Spinning Blade Dance Finisher)

You can also press circle when going down a slope then triangle to jump on a monsters back and spin down it like a beyblade
Wow, staggers last about three times longer than they used to. Also, I'm glad to have the damage numbers since it'll just show noobs immediately that attacking bellies, wings, and legs usually does more damage with DSs. No more idiots trying to compete with the hammer for the face. ... Ahh, who am I kidding, even with the numbers right in front of them, they'll still do it.
Indeed, just continue what you think its right and move on, there's plenty of people who understand your pov. :D
Even if I already know a monster's weak points I still like to have damage numbers on. I don't know why but they help make the combat more satisfying, not that it's not a lot of fun without them!

I never noticed if the great jagras eats a monster and you attack it regurgitates it meal sometimes. This game has so much detail to it I commend them for all their hard work on this game.
I played it on tuesday as well and i gotta say this Game feels sooo good. It feels like Monster Hunter in extra smooth and crisp.
I had so much fun with the Hammer especially when the monster was down and i got to swing on his had like 5 times with the new move.
I played long sword too which feels almost the same as in previous games.
Bow next please, we need some of that fluent long range gameplay
Thank you for leaving in the part after killing the Great Jagras. I always saw the hourglass timer pop up at the top and it was eating away at me if it ticked down in intervals or not at all. 10 second intervals aren't bad, I guess. Better than it just saying you have 30 seconds and not letting you know how much time you have left.

Hey Arekkz, do you know if the cartwheel counts as a draw attack if you have your weapon sheathed when you jump? Would be insane coupled with the Critical Draw skill.
Can't wait to see the Longsword. I've never played a MH game but that weapon resonates with me I tell ya.

In demon mode, it looks almost like you are Sith Lord welding two red light saber. Surely is alsome!
Will it have more combos in the main game? Or just stronger versions of the weapon?
I main great sword but all these other weapons look so cool. And the sounds are so satisfying.

I'm almost certain they are. The first appearance of the monsters in The Wildspire Waste trailer looks very cinematic.
in the interview, he asked about it, but the devs didnt comment on that, dunno if the translator didnt ask correctly, or if they avoided it.

The blades crutch with demon mode is eliminated when you use that one item to give you infinite stamina

If you press "O" while up a hill then attack you'll do a upward dash like off the edge of a cliff

I am a bit worried that World won't have many monsters and different variations of them.
I'd love to see the Lance, it seems to be the only weapon without a new feature

I love the new additions to Dual Blades, but I have to stick with my go-to Insect Glaive. Jetting around looks like too much fun!

The dual blades at 2:00 have characteristics that are similar to the Gammoth. The symbol, red and blue fur, and the bone. So maybe new design and maybe returning gammoth or part trader
You Wana use the targeting it'll help you land more of the leap attacks
Considering the stamina depletion from 6:20 to 6:35 we roughly have 15 seconds of Demon Mode. When you also apply the fact that Arekkz dashes 3 times, roughly estimating 40% in total of the stamina bar, that gives us 25s of Demon Mode without dashing.
Compared to Monster Hunter Generations, where I timed standing still with maximum stamina I counted 15 seconds, give or take 0.5 secs due to the human factor. Either way I see it is we get way more time spent in demon mode, which I'm all for!
The duel blades are why I started using hunting horn when I play that infinite stamina Melody they are god-like

Am I the only one who sees what appears go be a second, fainter Archdemon Gauge behind the first one? I thought it might be a shadow at first, but no other HUD element had a shadow like that. What could it be for?

hey i noticed that IGN had some gameplay from the new dessert map. Do you also played this map?
Ok, he killed the Great Jagras in less than 2 minutes with DBs. That is like almost a minute shorter than every other weapon shown so far. It was hard to read all the damage amounts because of how many hits this weapon gets in such a short time but damn that's some good dps. This Hammer and Heavy Bowgun, Charge Blade and Switch Axe are my current faves.

Do you know if demon flurry rush is returning? (Thats the archdemon mode draw attack but is also accessed by pressing X+A (nintendo) while in archdemon mode.)

I've noticed in Demon Mode there is a second weapon bar- which makes sense for the "Dual Blades"- but I don't know if the second one does anything.
Did uh... did anyone else notice the meat-vomit fountain coming out of the monsters mouth when he knocked it over at 8:07? I couldn't look away, no matter how much I wanted to.

He is, but not as a quest itself. You can choose between great jagras and anjanath and on the latter rathalos can be found, too.
