That's an amazing method of color mixing and blending you just did Amy, i thought you would never stop adding more and more paint, but at the end, your work is wonderful,,,,thanks for sharing.....greetings from Belize
That painting it's beautiful! I'm going to try it!
VERY PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!
I loved all the texture in the moon!!
ive been practicing on my galaxy/ cosmos paintings and i felt i could never get my moons right. this video was very helpful and insperational!!!!! excellent work!
You have such a beautiful family! I love this tutorial!
I've just come across your channel by chance, and wow, I mean WOW! Have since watched about 10 back to back. Thank you for sharing so much! 😘😘😘
Thanks for this! Really helpful.
You are so awesome, love all your work. I want to try this, the texture is amazing.
Layers and layers and layers make all the difference in an awesome end results
Well done Ty
It turned out wonderful! I've been meaning to try a space themed piece recently - I really love the purples you've used in this! Thanks for sharing!
Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Me encantó la textura que dió a la luna pintando capas y capas de acrilico...fantástico...voy a tratar de hacerlo...muchas gracias Amy...linda familia...blessings
Thank you I needed this !!!!
This is the most helpful planet painting how-to I have found yet.
enjoyed this video. I am going to do something like this for my Grandson as he love's planets and stars.. Thank you Amanda
This is just wonderful..... amazing work.
greetings from the Philippines Amy! you're artworks are really amazing. thank you for being an inspiration!
That picture Is absolutely amazing
I'm a beginner, forgive my question... But does all the layering make the image appear more 3d? I was wondering I saw you create so many layers.
at first i was like whyyy would u cover the layers!!! but then when you showed the end result it really showed the impact the colours had. its so amazing and ill try this technique 💕
This was wonderful. The same thing happened to my friends, her whole family photo was in an ad!!!
Beautiful, thank you.
Loved this. Inspires me to want to try it. I would probably keep going like you did. I notice I reach a certain click point of satisfaction before quitting.
Awesome!
beautiful
amazing!
Great painting! I love it!! :)
Hi Amy, love this picture, i was having kittens while watching as at first wasn't sure weather it was going to plan but of course it did and it looks great, you have a lovely family and thank you so much for sharing :-)
I've never painted before. Your painting came out so pretty. Would you mind explaining why you layered the moon/planet with so many layers of paint? I'm sure it's a technique (I missed) but I'd love to try this. I can't believe how that round looking like nothing formed a moon/planet. Really cool.
Very nice!
Love your videos. I have tried to do your blending techniques a few times, and when I use the sponge to blend or just try to blend the wet colors together with the brush, I just seem to pull paint off the canvas showing the white below where my brush stops. What am I doing wrong?
Well I love your planet painting! Thanks for the link to!!! Ok I would not have put so many layers of paint, I think I would have used modeling paste to create texture then do some layers of paint. You looked like you were having fun, but I don't think I'm that patient!
love it😋
I would have considered it done at 5:09 ! But I know NOTHING, I mean really nothing about acrylic paints or painting. I sub'd your channel a while back because I saw a beautiful painting you did, and then I guess never came back to it until TODAY when I happened across Mr. Otter's Studio (I think that's what it's called)! So yeah, now I'm here, I love both channels and looking forward to learning something new! I usually just watch water color.. so I'm trying to expand muh brain lol :) Tx for sharing
love your work awsome so real
very good.
very talented
Its very beauty
great video :) very helpful on craters
I love this so much. :) New subscriber. Trying to remember how to art after a 6 year break! :)
WOns, just wouw,i loooooooove all you awesome work👍👍👍👌👌👌😘😃😉😍😍😍
I felt you had it earlier and then you covered it over and I was calling out NO NO NO! LOL! Your finished planet is fantastic but I would like to have seen the finished one with your colours at around 6.30ish. x
I have five too! Congrats on your sanity! I don't know how we do it! LOL
me encanta!! :)
Great talent - thanks for sharing... Curious to know how much time you took to do this masterpiece ? laying layers of oil colours and getting them to dry does take time ? Why is it necessary to put so many layers of colours and then dampen them before adding more layers ? Well done !
Mind blowing lol
could you have used texture paste to get the same effect on the moon
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, your links don't work for the free graphics. Thought you might want to adjust.
Loving your painting process!
The painting is so beautiful! Good job! And oh my god you have so many kids!! I am new to your channel and you should do a bit of vloging, like vloging you life or doing a behind the scenes of things. And also I was wandering if you can please do a video of "painting for beginners" or something like that. Cause I am a beginner and I want to know a few tips or tricks on painting. -Thanks!!
It turned out beautiful. I don't know if I could follow it to do my own though. The adding and blending were so fast that I don't know if I could learn the technique.
I
LOVE
YOU

Hi Amy, I just love watching your art videos and how creative you are. Have you ever gotten into the latest craze.... pencil crayon coloring in coloring books. Some nice ones are by Johanna Basford, some of her books are The Enchanted Forest, The Secret Garden and The Lost Ocean. I would love to see you do a tutorial on The Enchanted Forest book. Thankyou
Great tutorial, but I don't understand why you think you have to run it so fast. Also, if you cover up prior layers, what's the point? I mean why do them at all? I don't get it. It seems that the final result only shows your last couple layers.
Sometimes you won't get the same vibrant colour or effect if you don't have the bottom layers
better safe than sorry right
I think she was experimenting with colors and combinations but it went kinda crazy so she put all these layers on and on to cover it up. Idk tho.
Sometimes when you are experimenting you do some things....and if it’s not what you want you can change it up. This is what makes the most interesting pieces! When you see the end result (had she not shared the process) you would of been mind blown..... wondering how she did that. With that being said...this is the type of work that could never be duplicated, so beautiful and unique to her.
Aren't the layers supposed to give it a 3D feel. I also agree that maybe she messed up a bit but turned it around well. And you can also slow down the speed of the video these days. She is usually very good in explaining but, I felt too it was bit fast. But again I am no expert.
She wanted texture and for it to be chunky. Also, when you lay certain colors over others, it creates a different shade.
Great painting.Beautiful family.Tell sis to make them pay through the teeth:)
Nice painting! I also do 'Cosmic Revelations', and I don't paint "planets", as to how they look like; there's a scientific and religious story behind my works! Thanks for showing!
It looks like Pluto.
Tried to download the free download, says page isn't available
😮
I loved it, but I felt dizzy, it's so fast. The moon or planet seemed very complicated. I don't cope with watching fast forwards that fast. But love the end result. Five children how do you do it Amy? Lol
Amy Pearce it's nice...but never could follow this..too fast..I got dizzy..lol...the mixing of paint...What and where...way over my head.
i dont get it, u went through every color like 5 times. your craters were cool though
would ve very plane with one,
can you wxplain me why you upload videos?
Just too fast to follow for a beginner..
You can slow the film down with your options xx
Ikr
I've watch the whole video
fitting as there was a strawberry moon last night.
Wish u went a bit slower so we could try to follow! So many colours & blending in the moon don’t think mine will look like that but wow this is so beautiful ur amazing!!!
I have watched this video
Hi, I put the speed of 0.25 even though it was very fast. Do a slow hand, please.
I really liked the end result but gasped a few times when I thought it looked really good. Then you started "blobbing" again! I don't think I could do that one. I'm always afraid I'll mess up. (I'm still a baby :)
Nice job but i wish the video was a little slower, it was hard to keep up
I didn't use the to tutorial I just used the idea 😏🌚🌌🇺🇸
You can sue them for stealing your picture lol !!! (Ahah damn I took one law class I need to chill)
this is not a tutorial at all, this is her herself not knowing wht she wants to create she's still experimenting...
beginners, don't be confused if u didn't learn anything cause tht was not the point of the vid anyway
tho, turns out great Artist!! congrats!
that was great. Real time would have been better
You adopted a very difficult method to paint... But at last its look good...
slow down please ,,great painting but too fast to follow
I know you have to throw in all the stuff for your sponsor, but if you're only using an image as a reference and you're not recreating that image, then you don't have to worry about royalties. If you use the exact image, especially for some sort of campaign (even if it's not for profit, say heart health ect) then you need to have the rights to use that image.
Why do you call your videos tutorials? You speed through them and you breeze through the supplies you use, using terms like "bristly brush and smaller bristly brush." Do you not know the kinds of brushes you use? Your are a fantastic artist, but most of your painting videos can not be called a tutorial. Tutorial is usually defined by being given intensive instruction. The only thing intensive about your videos is the intense speed and no one is capable of learning from you at the rate you go. Just letting you know, this is no tutorial.
Kanoka Ninja I found it very helpful. But some people just are slower than others. No need to be rude
it's a tutorial..
if it goes too fast, you can pause or slow it down, but that's your issue.
Bob Ross was pretty breakneck considering that you can't pause TV.
( lol I just realized what I said. you can pause TV nowadays)
she don't really want to teach the exact skill I guess.... :)
This is awful, the way you made that backgroung is insulting, u just spill drops of white all over and pretend it looks like stars! Is not that hard! The magenta is not even blended, your kids could have done it better!!. Ahhh, more softness and less chunkyness ! XD (this is honest fedback :) )
Agree. All the layers on the moon are completely unnecessary. Use a clear medium for texture and just layer the colors you want.
