Hey guys! When i create a pad feature out of output feature, i cannot see the output feature inside the pad on the specifications tree! Any idea please.
The Output 3D axis and 3D Plane are available in V5-6R2015 and newer, but the Output feature and Profile feature will be available in releases of CATIA older than R2015.
Hello, thanks for your question! The warning "This sketch contains several opened profiles, or some geometry used for construction...." is given by CATIA when you are trying to use the entire sketch to define a shape for a feature (like a pad or pocket). To remedy this, you can use the sketcher outputs (as defined in this video) but you need to make sure that you click on the individual output line item from the specification tree and not the entire sketch (I show this around the 6:45 mark in the video).
Hi- The output commands are found in the Tools toolbar of the sketcher workbench. Once you have created an output of some kind, it will automatically show up in the specification tree under the sketch. Thanks for watching!
