Scotland has the largest drug death rate in Europe let alone the UK and it is a national disgrace compounded by the SNP withdrawal of rehab funding.
SNPs record on drug deaths and the lack of support for people in need should be getting raised with her. She had years to sort it out and they sat on their hands. Many lives lost as a result. This is nothing like segregation. Sturgeon is on a divisive power trip that risks breaking the Union. Kate Burley’s disdain is for Sturgeon not the Scots.
@@ianross225 your idea of a power trip is her literally handing power to the electorate, many of whom disagree with her, to make a choice on a subject? Weird. Surely a power trip would be to, i dunno, unilaterally declare independence with no input from the electorate? Kay Burleys disdain is familiar to many in Scotland. Its a "know your place" attitude.
Prejudice, Microaggerssion, Hate speech, some of the things of her mind set she will Ruin Scotland with her Bitterness and stirring up hatred. What is she on about? Democracy has said NO. We'd be utterly bankrupt on day one. There is absolutely no forethought on the independence policy of the SNP government, just pipe dreams. In truth, it's the last bastion of a government which is out of touch, out of time, out of policies, out of things left to screw up, out of options and out of credibility.if she’s allowed to carry on she will lead Scotland back to the dark ages, don’t be blinded like her.
Kay Burley asks the daftest questions- I appreciate she has a producer and is not solely to blame but she is hopeless as an anchor regardless of the issue involved
They did, between 2014 and 2016 independence was not talked about, it wasn't until Brexit came about removing one of the major arguments that it returned to the convo in Scotland. Also, simple fact is that they campaigned on a 2nd ref, so did the greens, and between them they got a majority (not just of seats but % votes), so it's literally a manifesto commitment, not trying to run one would be breaking that manifesto commitment.
Kay Burley is anything but neutral... It's hard to find anyone more biased, than possibly, the BBC crowd... Things has changed since the last vote, Scotland was not given what it was promised and they have since been marginalized. Westminster wants the Scottish lands and waters for energy production, as they don't want to put wind farms or solar in theirs, and now, they will certainly need the oil and gas fields more than ever. The only right thing to do here, is to do what Nicola suggests - let the people have their say. The options has nothing to do with democracy. If Brexit is so fantastic and people so happy with it, what is England so afraid of? Quite in fact, the best option for England, would likely be to secede from the union and cast the rest adrift as they would not be held back by any "anchors" anymore... right? So again, what are they so afraid of? Let people have their say! Just because someone said it was a "once in a lifetime", doesn't make it so, especially not of the conditions change drastically and they don't hold up their end of the bargain and promises...
Mrs Sturgeon handled this very well. I'd like to see Boris do any better without lying through his teeth or just point blank not answering questions. I'd love to see an independence debate live on TV between Nicola Sturgeon and Boris Johnson. At the end of the day it's the peoples decision what the future of Scotland will be. If theres a mandate for a second referendum then that is the will of the people. It's not about "not respecting the vote back in 2014". Its to do with the fact that Scotland never wanted to leave the EU. Not back in 2014 during the initial referendum and not now. Yet here we are. 🏴🤝🇪🇺

In 2013, Professor Brian Ashcroft of the University of Strathclyde (a noted Unionist) found that for the period since 1980, Scotland paid in more to the UK per head than it got back (subtracting interest payments on the National Debt which an independent Scotland would not have paid).”

NorthWest England is 2nd highest in England
@Ace point. What an outrageous lie Scotlands drug deaths in 2020 were 1339 up 5% (Scot Gov figures) Englands was 4561 up 3.8%.Allowing for population differences England would have to have 12,000 plus for the death rate to be the same as Scotlands.Making Scotlands death rate over double that of England.
Scotland has the largest drug death rate in Europe let alone the UK and it is a national disgrace compounded by the SNP withdrawal of rehab funding.
It was a surprise because the Scottish Tories disagree with the English government on drugs policy but Westminster rules.
SNPs record on drug deaths and the lack of support for people in need should be getting raised with her. She had years to sort it out and they sat on their hands. Many lives lost as a result. With that said, Kay Burley's distain is akin to a presenter on GB News. The facts are if Scotland leave England is in a mess, why else are they fighting so hard to try and stop the referendum.
We need to stop taking Wee Krankie serious, she ain't going nowhere. In

The United Kingdom.
Wouldn't the Scots be prisoner to the single party state they would be left with?
Whats happening to all the other political parties the day after the vote?
No, because an election would be called. Many people of other political parties vote SNP because they want Independence. Once they have it, some will put their vote elsewhere.
@@gerigray64 exactly. Independence would see the end of the single issue autonomy the snp currently benefit from. The snp and independence are often confused as one entity which is not the case.
No
How can it be a single party state when the SNP does not have a majority?
Scottish democracy spoke in 2014 and and I think less than 45% of not even 85% turn out is hardly a nation desperate for 'FREEDOM ' from 'oppression. Wee Nic knows she's on to a looser again but has to keep banging on about a referendum to keep her in a job .Notice how she has subtlety change her tune now from her wanting to 'break free from they ' English
Never liked Kay since she made Peter Andre cry! Roll on Independence! Hopefully people realise they were lied to big style! Independent England has a great ring to it!
Let them have independence with no more of our money being siphoned away to prop up the SNP govt. Let them have a their own currency, bank etc. In fact the whole of the UK should have a vote and set them free. We have had enough of their whining and demands for monies.
Just think no more SNP in Westminster ....lovely
Scotland doesn't want indiependance stop believing the leftie mmedia
@@audie-cashstack-uk4881 yep but the rest of the UK don't want them (the SNP).
SNP only use is for the tories to keep down the number of Labour seats. Scottish people keep voting for the socialist parties as its our money they spend and waste. Nah we've had enough.
British democracy is "Do what the English say"
Not for long
Seriously? I do think that Scotland is a prisoner of the SNP
Seriously?
