ENOMA stands for 'Easygoing Native Outsiders Making Assessments'.
We are an Indian couple residing in Mumbai. We create first-time, single take & honest reactions.
We serve soulful, deep, insightful and pure reactions on a regular basis. Sometimes, the rest of the family joins us too.
Savio and me are two counselors, teachers & stay-at-home parents who enjoy listening to music for the first time.
We listen to music like it should be listened to. Without pausing the songs while we listen to them.
We seek to understand a song's true meaning. We love listening to music that adds value to our lives.
We often venture deep into the heart of a song to share an educated assessment on it.
Our post-reaction analysis is based on our educational background, life experiences, and rich culture.
As counselors, we are keen listeners. Savio is excellent at analyzing lyrics. People say I have good listening skills.
As a result, viewers get to watch good reactions on ENOMA every time.
We love reacting to music from all over the world. And of different genres and styles.
It can be easily seen in the 1500+ reactions we've already created on Enoma.
We are honest in our reviews. If we like a song, we say it. And if we didn't like it, we will say so.

This is one of the first songs I've ever heard that really took thrash/heavy metal from merely being loud guitars and fast riffs by long-haired guys into legitimate art... using those fast riffs not only to sound cool, but to actually paint a vivid picture of a chaotic battlefield. This is what *real* music should be about, a complete expression going beyond just the notes played itself.

The song is a friggin' masterpiece...
I mean...there is SOOO much going on in this song...musically and lyrically....
So many musical transitions and some of the "hardest" playing Thrash Metal has to offer...
And, the lyrics......I mean, you really can't do much better than this!!

I was hoping you would react to this song at some point. I love this song, I’m glad to see it on your channel. This song like most of the other songs on Master Of Puppets follow the theme of being under control. Great song, great reaction. Also that was really cool to hear Savio say that he thinks One is still the best one, that’s my favorite Metallica song too.

Before I get into this, let me just say that I love Metallica. Always have, always will. I've enjoyed every album they've put out (maybe not so much St. Anger, but nobody's perfect). Remember that before you knee-jerk react to what I have to say about this song:
This is actually one of my least-liked Metallica songs, not because of the music (which is amazing) but because of the lyrics. I'm a veteran, Army Infantry, and the kind of mentality Hetfield attributes to soldiers in this song -- and it's the same mentality a lot of people attribute to soldiers in general -- is one of a mindless machine that follows orders and kills when told, and is otherwise completely expendable. Nothing could be further from the truth.
One of the most important lessons I learned in the military was during basic training. One night during mail call, our drill sergeant was chit-chatting with us, talking about what we could expect from the military life. I forget exactly what lead to this statement but at one point he said something that really struck me and has stayed with me ever since: "It's your duty as a soldier to obey orders, unless you think the order would dishonor you." Soldiers are trained to kill, yes, but "killing machine" isn't your default. You have the right to object to an order you feel is immoral or unethical, and you are still expected to be an honorable person, to be aware of your actions, to conduct yourself ethically and with respect and integrity. To this day, twenty-some years after I left the service, I still live my life by those words: honor, ethics, respect, integrity.
I generally love Hetfield as a lyricist, but I feel he was way off the mark with this song. I know it's at times coming from the perspective of a commanding officer who sends the mindless, expendable soldier into battle, but even that mentality he attributes is wrong. A commanding officer's job includes sending soldiers into battle, yes, but he never does so callously or indifferently; every soldier's life counts.
    Okay, back to loving Metallica.

      @lonnieturnerii1874 4 года назад

@@JamesSmith-cm7sg Having been a soldier who disobeyed my share of bad orders myself, I can personally attest to that not being true. Soldiers disobeying bad orders is a common occurrence. To be clear, there's a difference between a dishonorable order and an 'it sucks" order. If your higher up tells you "Drop and give me 20!" -- it sucks, but you drop and give him 20. If he tells you "Burn down that hut and every innocent villager inside it" -- that's a dishonorable order. Not only would you be well within your rights to refuse that order, but you can and should report him up the chain of command as well.
As I said, a soldier may be trained to kill, but he's not trained to be immoral. You are still expected to conduct yourself with honor and integrity, even in war. Sometimes that means refusing to obey an order. It happens.

One of the great Metallica songs that is often looked over. But this is everything you could wish from a metal song! Lyrics go deep as well. It sums up almost everything that is wrong with war. The boy who gets hyped and bred at home to be a soldier and finds out at the battlefield people actually die and there's nothing heroic about it. Only then he realizes his life ment nothing and everything is a waste out here. thank you for reacting Enoma :)
