The top comment is correct. a better way to install it though. you can save room around your outputs by installing the check valve further up the line about 3 to 6 inches up cut the air hose and then install the check valve. The check valve is a safety feature. It prevents your air pump from siphoning water from your tank in the case of power outage. When a power outage happens air flow stops actually creates a slight vacuum sucking water into the airline and into your pump both ruining the pump and flooding your house and most likely killing your fish. Keep on learning don't listen to the haters you're doing great

ok you got a sponge filter to replace a sponge filter not producing bubbles um the sponge filter is not what makes the bubbles the air pump and air atone are so maybe you have a clogged air stone or your air pump is going out so first start with the air stone then the air pump also size of pump should be based on depth of tank not overall size deeper tanks need bigger pumps to pump past the weight of the water if your using to small of a pump for the depth of your tank you will burn it out
the red valves are keep to water going to your air pump and damaging the pump when you lose power or unplug the pump just cut the middle of the air tubing on outside tank connect one half of tubing from the pump on the valve then connect other half in tank to it if air does comes out just disconnect the valve flip the valve and reconnect it. I have put mind upside and air does not come of the line just flip it right side up it will work
Interestingly, I've got the 2.5w single valve and the 4w double-valve ones. The latter is a lot quieter than the former, although the former is not as powerful.

for your information IF the pump has 2 outlets you have to connect an airtube to each one or you will destroy your pump... if you want only one tube you connect the 2 tubes into one by a connector!
It’s kind of (ok, VERY) annoying that you don’t stop talking the entire time the air pump is running, so I have to really strain to hear anything over your voice. Kind of pointless as a review video if the we can’t actually hear it for ourselves. If I wanted to hear someone merely *say* the pump is quiet, (verbally or in print) I’d head over to Amazon and read reviews. Maybe something to keep in mind in future videos?🙂
We're you stoned when you made this video ? The bit that you didn't know what it was with the orange thing in it is a non return valve you need it in halfway between your airline so water don't go in your air pump it only allows air to travel one way

Those are aquarium check valves. It'll prevent the water from flowing backwards into the air pump :)

Is the brand a good one.. made in China designed in China. Not that I've an issue with that so long as it's CE certified.. uk safety standards...
So far, its pretty good. But can't really say until I have used for a good period of time. I'll make a update video soon.

The pump has become very noisy after 6 months of non stop use.
How well would this work for Betta fish? Will it create too much current in my 10 gallon tank?
If you lower the flow rate then yes.
