5:09 A verse that greatly shapes my eschatological view is Ezekiel c.36 v.35, especially since it is sandwiched between the richness of Ezekiel 36 and 37. I believe there is a physical rebuilding that follows a spiritual and moral rebuilding as God's kingdom "comes". So, as we see local destructions, judgment of cities or nations, we also begin to see God's elect filling and healing the desolate places.
Ezk36 v.34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. v.35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. v.36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. Very beautiful. Thanks.
The issue with the debate in eschatology is that we presuppose the conclusion and that causes the work from the beginning to the presupposed end to be extremely fuzzy. Let's start with what the Bible says and work forward. If you do that, you won't end up with any of the predominant views.
As some new to post mil eschatology and firmly in yet I don't know how to deal with for God so the the world that it will be saved as they discussed with the verse about the road is narrow
Thanks for your comment. I'm with you. John 3:16 gives us a famous 'whosoever,' but Matthew 7's 'whosoever' should be taken very seriously. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work ανομία. Therefore ^whosoever^ heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. This is, as you know, Jesus' description of the _few_ narrow-way sojourners. Cheers.
One of the most fascinating things about this video is that Doug Wilson shares the exact same view of "the world" as the modern American Christians who plaster John 3:16 on the sign and show up at the ball game. The little old book "And it Came To Pass" has been memory-holed. Did Canon Press deplatform Canon Press on eschatology?
37:54 so….Doug claims his parents raised him and his siblings in a ‘wasteland’ of Christian teaching and example of how to raise your kids as Christians….yet he also points back to that time as one which our culture has fallen from? In other words, America has become less Christian than a wasteland since then? No wonder Doug isn’t a reconstructionist. 😂😂

My analysis of this video: Doug called for this and picked the topic as a way of reigning in the soldier boys and doing damage control. This was more of a sermon to them. The bit about the shrill complaining, that would include middle finger advertising. He's not jumping ship but he's trying to find a face saving way for these guys to tell them, we're going to let Yahweh be in charge from now on more than Johnny Cash.
Maybe he’s beginning to realize the materials he’s been using in his ministry are gonna be destroyed by fire. But there’ll be a lot more building before the match gets lit.

@@TypicalTGreen but it doesn't seem to be a good thing that you've corrupted the meaning of holy fire. Remember what Jesus said when his disciples wanted to call down holy fire. Their desire was placed in their hearts by Satan.
But isn’t Postmill the damsel suffering from main character syndrome? Bad storyline I’m looking forward to the blessed hope Paul mentions in Titus 3:12 and ruling with Christ upon His return
Even with a post-mil view, it doesn't seem that the Kingdom of God will triumph on the Earth with a very skewed presentation and explanation of other eschatologies. Not only was the pre-mil view misrepresented, but the supposed critics pre-mil would have against post-mil and hisorycal optimism are also very badly stated.

19:46 the KEY difference in what your arguing and what is actually happening is that every culture and history you bring up was pagan by default, or for so long it was default in all practical senses. What postmils are doing poorly is expecting they can change the momentum of a culture that is *increasing* in its rebellion, not stagnating or diminishing. It’s not even that I don’t believe that the Gospel can do this, it’s that a postmil who is so blind to the text that they think that they are owed the change in their lifetime simply because they believe it to be so, which is to say everyone sitting under these men’s teachings, is a postmil who will take up the sword to achieve it. And in doing so, will create an antichrist state whose rebellion is far greater than what they started with.
I'm not even postmil, but one thing the Moscow boys are very clear on is the long view. They don't teach that they are "owed change in their lifetime".
@@ThePristineFaith I didn't say anything about the Trinity. I'm not interested in the traditions of men. I asked you if you believe Jesus is God. More specifically, Every man has a spirit. @@ChristOrChaos2025 Do you believe there is a right and wrong eschatology and do you believe there could be serious consequences if you get it wrong? @@TypicalTGreen but it doesn't seem to be a good thing that you've corrupted the meaning of holy fire. Remember what Jesus said when his disciples wanted to call down holy fire. Their desire was placed in their hearts by Satan.
@@ChaLy-r4d ... How is my use of it "corrupt?" Will our Lord Christ not burn everything He chooses?
Toby, you don't wear low cut socks with low top shoes and pants. Megachurch pastor vibes.
I don't think those things concern him.
@daveonezero6258 it was a joke...
But isn’t Postmill the damsel suffering from main character syndrome? Bad storyline
I’m looking forward to the blessed hope Paul mentions in Titus 3:12 and ruling with Christ upon His return
Doug, I love you, but please find another Barber.
It’s like if he walked to the barber and said give me a simple jack hair cut but if he was in the peaky blinders show
@@manager0175Joe got a 'head' start 😉
Joe and Toby’s guy seems to be fairly thorough.
I believe he uses a Flowbee.
🤣
Love it! (Too many check out bc the rapture is next week)
Hello again
Russ??? Is that you?
What’s up with Doug’s Peaky Blinders hair cut;)
I trust a pessimistic PostMil over and above an optimistic one.
Why not be happy if you are going to end up at the same place ? 🤷🏼♂️
No pessimist has Meow in his sn, you be honest!
@@interestedmeow I don't trust either because both are unbiblical
I've had the same bad haircut before too...😅

Pre-monk haircut
Even with a post-mil view, it doesn't seem that the Kingdom of God will triumph on the Earth with a very skewed presentation and explanation of other eschatologies.
Not only was the pre-mil view misrepresented, but the supposed critics pre-mil would have against post-mil and hisorycal optimism are also very badly stated.
Would you mind laying out the premillennial view here so I can understand it better? Thanks.
@@ChristOrChaos2025
Well, it would obviously take several paragraphs to bring a holistic view of any position.
Is there a specific point you are curious about?
@@LRibeiro97 I just wanted an overview of the premillennial system. Are you dispensational or historic premillennial?
@@ChristOrChaos2025 Best to just stay away from anything premillennial. It's ALL unbiblical.
@@christalone71 Thanks. But I would like to know what LRibeiro97 believes. There seems to be more than one type of premill.
Im starting a ministry encouraging Christians to think long term strategies..like better youth catechism, stronger youth relationship structures, better young adult partnerships, stronger community structures and group dynamics
Impotency with the illusion of manliness. They dont do anything except fluff male ego.
@@DeaconBeanCooter well said except I think it's worse than that 😭😔 They don't know what it means to be a preacher. Instead they want to be Navy Seals like they see in the video games they play. Police now do the same thing. Security guards at the Goodwill store play at Navy Seals. The result is war everywhere you look in America. What happens when you give someone the middle finger? The offended person punches you in the face. The incarnate God Jesus Christ did everything possible to teach us NOT to give the middle finger. This total effort to reject violence went all the way up to the hill at Calvary. Turn the other cheek, walk an extra mile with the roman's kit, forgive one another a 1000 x 7...
Hardcore Calvinists are not post millenialists 😂
No?
The rubbish that you get when you get soteriology (the sovereignty of God) wrong and eschatology wrong.
Do you believe Jesus/Ye'shua is God?
@@AnHebrewChild How do you define God? I reject the Trinity and maintain that there is one Most High God - the Father.
@@ThePristineFaith I didn't say anything about the Trinity. I'm not interested in the traditions of men.
I asked you if you believe Jesus is God.
More specifically,
Every man has a spirit. Job32:8, Prov18:14, Ecc3:21, 1Cor2:11 The Scripture refers to this as "the spirit of a man."
You, me, everyone.
Jesus is a man. Jesus has a spirit. Is Jesus' spirit the Eternal Spirit of God?
I say yes. What do you say?
@@AnHebrewChild I'd say that Christ’s entire human experience was empowered by the holy Breath (spirit).
So instead of Biblical eschatology we should just up for what’s “practical “? Sorry but I say this knowing Doug’s eschatology is unfortunately off and instead looking to worldly flesh driven descriptions like “practical “. Think I’ll just stick with Biblical thanks
What is the correct eschatology in your understanding? Can you explain it?
@@ChristOrChaos2025 Do you believe there is a right and wrong eschatology and do you believe there could be serious consequences if you get it wrong? Understanding Eschatological views isn’t like picking ice cream flavours based on our preferences or becoming part of a tribe or movement, it’s understanding God’s will and preparing for what He has already laid out would happen and discerning the times and deceptions we are warned about and ultimately enduring in our faith.
Wrong doctrine = wrong living and wrong application.
Doug's theology is problematic and heterodox, to put it mildly.
As is his praxis.
I want you all to prove the existence of your god. I'll then prove it doesn't exist.
