I like the original brick fireplaces the best. I don't care for the white brick. I'd love to a brick fireplaces that goes from one end of the room to the other ( wall to wall all the way across) in my din. A friend of mine had one like that down in her basement in her din/ family room and I loved it. It felt so homey feeling. I have a wood burning stove, but I miss my fireplaces. We have rock or stone behind our wood burning stove. It's OK, but I don't have a mantel to decorate like I did at my other house. I loved that fireplaces too and I miss it so much.
