lol i was about to post that but realized everyone probably already did LOL. That's like lowering volume on the radio so you can see better to park!! hahaha
You don't need to lift it all the way up just removed the heatshield and un bolt the rear motor mount to move the engine a bit to give you room for the front pipe.
Have you noticed any whistle coming from the car after the install? After I got my AWE exhuast installed on my R ive noticed a whistle noise under high rpm / acceleration.
What is the part number for new 14mm nuts for connecting front pipe to downpipe? Also is using new nuts recommended for a fairly new car 4-5months old?
I can't remember the exact part number off the top of my head, but I got those exhaust nuts from bkhondaparts. They have part diagrams you can browse through to get the exact nuts you're looking for. However since your car is relatively new i wouldn't worry about snagging new ones for your upcoming install. But it would be wise to pick some up to have as spares when you do any maintenance work in the future 🙌
Pawinning I love the design on the 27won. I like how they both have a deep sound also. Too many Type Rs exhaust I’ve seen are raspy. I’m glad I haven’t bought an exhaust and waited out. 😅
IMO this exhaust install was more of a challenging than installing an intake, and I recommend a second pair of hands to help align the front pipe cuz it can be difficult to feed through without.
No it does not 👍. The car does have solid engine mounts tho, so at about 2700-3000 rpm there's this sweet spot where the cabin experiences some more NVH, but even then it's tolerable for daily driving.
Hi sir nice video. Can you please shoot me a link to where you got that red tow hook on your bumper? My cover to that area was stolen so I'd rather have a hook than nothing there at all lol.
@@code_fk8817 strange...in the vid it looks like it's on the transmission. The whole install looks crazy. I installed one and didn't have those issues. Always start front to back. Also removing the motor mount only takes seconds and makes the front pipe go in quick.
Sorry, but the welds at 0:55 look like total ass. Within 3 years or less that exhaust will fall apart and rust to pieces even without driving on salt. Heck, it's already rusting and it's rusting and it's new!
“I had an exhaust that just looked like this once” 😂😂😂
"BWUHHHH.... BWUHHHHHHH.... BWUHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Might be going with this exhaust.
“It’s too dark to get some quality sound clips” 😅🧐
Haha y'all know what I mean 😂. What good are sound clips without seeing the car send it too 🤘!

@@theguy1224 honestly something I still do to this day from time to time 😂
Ya it's to quite to see clearly 😕😕😕
Does sound nice..
I have been searching for a good exhaust, this just might be it..
Tips look insanely cool too..
Dude, you will have to post a sound clip when the exhaust is bedded in and carbon'd up.. sounds great on the new build on cold start!
Honestly Brother this was the Best instructional video I have ever seen Outstanding Job.
Love the sound!
Thanks for watching!
SOUNDS GREAT!
Thanks man!!
Awesome video buddy!!
Thanks Chris!!

That thing looks nice🔥
I agree 🤘😎
MY dream Car..
Me too!
Sounds beautiful.
Thank you!
Nice install, and cold star sounds good 👌
Thanks!! I agree 🙏
Great vid, my dude!
Thank you!! 🙏
Sounds good! I went with MXP comp for my fk8 and it sounds similar
Thats awesome man! Glad you found a comparable setup 🙏
Great job dude!!!
Thanks man 🙏🙏
How much torque did you us on the front pipe
Do we know what the torque specs were for those nuts on the front pipe?
Sounds deep!
Not as deep as the greddy! But definitely less droney 👍.
Great video, very detailed!
Thank you!! 🙏
What if you don’t have that gasket from the front pipe anymore? Can I install a new 3 inch gasket from somewhere else?
Could you tell me where to find the torque specs for this install... thanks
You ever coming to LA area?
I need mine installed too
Have you noticed any whistle coming from the car after the install? After I got my AWE exhuast installed on my R ive noticed a whistle noise under high rpm / acceleration.
Very nice&deep sound for a Type R! Does it need to remap the ECU because of the replaced front pipe ?
No tuning needed 👍. The front pipe is still after the dp/cat so it shouldn't throw any codes
Where can i find the wing that go in top of the big wing?
Can you do a video that includes a drive by of the type r with this exhaust.
Working on it 👍!
Would you still need to take off the hear shield if you did this on a lift? Also these bolts are with a 3/8" drive?

Pawinning did you or would you find it necessary to use exhaust paste sealer in between the connections to make a better seal?
Are either of the cars lowered?
The type r owned by Eddy is lowered I think an inch, my car is at stock height
What kind of ramps are those? Do you recommend them?
What are those blocks you use to get the car in to the air?
You mean the ramps? Idk what brand they are as they were a gift, but you can find a bunch of options on Amazon and ebay 👍
Dang making me debating on this now. 😅 was gonna get 27WON
The 27won system is a beautiful looking system tho if I'm honest too 🤷🏻♂️. Sorry to add to the debate 😅!
Pawinning I love the design on the 27won. I like how they both have a deep sound also. Too many Type Rs exhaust I’ve seen are raspy. I’m glad I haven’t bought an exhaust and waited out. 😅
yoo what front bumper is that?
Does he have a stock down pipe? Might have missed it in the video
Yessir stock DP 👍.
What type of rims are those?
On the type R, where did you get that gray pin strip?
It says type r, but you got Si seats? Either way, dope civic 🔥
He drives a Si .... the other guy has a type r and it has type r seats , he’s the one with the type r not pawning
The type r has red seat belts.
Is this exhaust good for daily driver? Any drone?
Little to no drone on highway
Hmmm thinking about tackling this project myself...🤔 other then intake no experience with shit like this
IMO this exhaust install was more of a challenging than installing an intake, and I recommend a second pair of hands to help align the front pipe cuz it can be difficult to feed through without.
@@Pawinning thank you for the heads up!!!
Gloves homie
Does it drone in the cabin through all rpm range?

I like your new setup but I think you should of done a quad tip

I'd hit up Eddy in the dm's! @ezeagul1_r. I'll also look into finding the same one so I'll link it in the description 👍
Much appreciated. Subbed
Holy crap...wtf...did you jack the front by the transmission 🥴 omg
There's a jack point in the middle past the oil pan.

Lmao...install the front pipe from the front next time...go up while turning it works...no need to uninstall all that crap...lmao
It’s rusty or bad welding
It's good welding, they just don't clean them up all pretty.
Hummmm Honda guys will sub
Show lindo

Lifetime warranty on the AWE exhaust
Pretty sure that's not rust. Metal turns brown when you heat it .
First 👋
Looks like a wannabe type r, just buy a type r lol
They do have a type r... lol
The whole install was a type r.
