We are going all in on the Civic Type R!! In today's video, we install some BEAUTIFUL GiroDisk rotors from MAPerformance. These are going to perform GREAT on the track this weekend paired with the OEM Brembos. We also installed one of my holy grail parts.. the HKS Japan Dry Carbon intake system for the FK8.. I'll let the video do the explaining!

I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we want to see our favorite RUclipsr build a track car that you haven’t seen a lot of already. Would much rather see a Sick M2/M3/M4 over another Fk8. Understand what I’m saying? It also doesn’t help that I hate the way the fk8 looks 💀 Beautiful up front but that rear end is just a sore imo

I hate to be that guy. Would be cool seeing more driving footage. You buy and build a lot of cars which is cool to live vicariously through but driving footage would be nice.

Brother, you need to do the J’s Racing grill or else you’re gonna have overheating problems on the track, other than that, loving the Type R build

Love the build! If you haven’t already should really consider upgrading your brake fluid as well before going to the track.
Second this. Took my Subaru Legacy to the track with band new brembo pads and rotors and pretty sure I boiled my fluid as the braking was noticing worse for the next few weeks afterwards
Never been able to see you in person but through your videos I’ve been watching you since you had your si and did mods on it with the headlights in your parents house so I’ve seen your progression through the years and I love seeing where you are in life and being such an inspiration to me and the way you go about things when it comes to life and cars is amazing thanks for everything you do can’t wait till you come back to Florida.

HKS products are just pleasing to the eyes..reminds me of the time when my friend got his toyota Altezza and started the modding process..all mostly HKS/Endless products..b4 getting a 2.2l stroker+ turbo.very light tuning for about 270-280 bhp......black altezza.stock yellow fog lights...17' twin 5 spoke rims with potenza pole position tyres.
That exhaust note along with that intake is a thing of beauty 🤘

Make sure you replace the mesh filter once a year so it doesnt crumble and get sucked in. they sell just the mesh for those

When doing these type of brakes I usually put some electrical tape over the pins surface so I won’t damage the clear or paint on the caliper. It makes it less slippery when trying to bang them out.
Do what you enjoy brother. I’m loving the Type R! It’s amazing and more of an attainable car for normal people than some of these other cars you may see on RUclips. It’s great to see someone that truly enjoys cars and puts their heart into each one. Rock on man.

I put massive Brembos on my Talon about 2 months ago and their stopping power us amazing. Those red ones look sick.

As a Veteran for your channel since seeing you in Mississippi at GNC to moving to Cali, you’ve come a VERY long way. You’re the reason my fav wheel is the work VSXX tbh. But I’m glad to see your feeling at home with the Type R bc like you said, it brings you back to when you first started modifying cars. Tbh from my perspective i love seeing tinker vids you can see how you gloat and be purely excited when you add new parts.
It's genuine and imo don't change it's good shit most channels go under while trying to change into something that is maybe to much or going to take more time that you have.

Excited to see your CTR build come along. Recommend wiping the new rotors down with brake cleaner before bedding process to remove oils applied from the factory to keep them from rusting on the shelf. Also when you bed the pads, don't come to a full stop. Keep it rolling so the film transfers evenly across the rotor surface and avoids hot spots. Start with low speed and bring the temps up gradually. After 5 or so hard braking from 30 mph down to 5 mph take it up to 60 mph and hard brake down to 5-10 mph 5 times. When you park the car the rotors should have a metallic blue tint to them. That will let you know they're properly bedded.

Nice mods, I wanted the 2 peace Giro Disc brakes for my CTR by it was a little out of my price range, loving the HKS exhaust paired with that sick HKS Carbon Fiber Intake. I’m actually looking in to the Eventuri Intake system, I here that gives you the highest owed output with the tune. Keep doing what you love, looking forward to you next video.

I enjoy everything I have seen you do so far but I can say for sure that the Japan vlogs hit different. I think it has more to do with the fact that it's you and the boys doing things together that you are all passionate about. Either way though I love both style videos haha.

Just my opinion, I would like to see the reason behind you choose those mod compared to others in the market. Like the HKS, is because you visited and fascinated of the factory. Story behind those mods is just good.

I like your builds, they are tastefully done and not some boring super car build. The Jawa Sandcrawler should be a build.
Touge/Canyon Runs in SO Cal! LA and San Diego have so many sweet curvy mountain and scenic roads. Just raw driving and car photo shoots with different cars in your fleet would be awesome to watch. Late night Touge runs would be cool too lol

Hey man, I love the track builds and content.. not tired of it at all, but I think you hit the nail on the head when you said about making videos that you install just 1 part cause that was very repetitive like you mentioned… make us feel more related and just do a bunch of mods at once where you work on the car for hours or something in that nature?

Don't forget to do the brake fittment well done in the first 700 miles to not damage the brake rotors, take it easy for that time on the brakes

I love your content, i do think more POV driving footage in the US would be super cool, i love your japan style vlogs as well so maybe integrate a US version of that as well for different types of content? Just a suggestion, keep doing you!

One thing to grow a car channel that seems to work and makes it interesting is to take on progressively more and more ambitious projects by acquiring more and more expertise. For example take on an engine build next. Then maybe a more esoteric engine build or restoration following that. Really enjoyed your Japan trips, the locations, cars, characters, food etc.

Definitely recommend getting a vented hood on the R especially when tracking due to overheating issues when pushing it hard on the track. Even on stock tune it happens to run really hot. Keep up the great contents sir
It will overheat on track day easily. Need radiator upgrade, open grill, vented hood, oil cooler for track day. None is needed if not tracking the car.
These pieces may have been “small” but literally have improved the car so much and have so much functionality. It was dope seeing the video end with Sparco too, it’s been a lil while 🤙🏼🔥🔥
