I can see the logic of the tin foil but I wonder if you have also noticed the with different potjies sometimes the lids do not fit perfectly well. Suppose that is just bad workmanship. Hi Derick, sometimes the casting molds wear out on the edges and that results in an uneven lid fitting. To grind it flat with an angle-grinder is also an option. Regards Deon
