She had a great variety of skills. I enjoyed watching her routines, but not just the ones on the Balance Beam. She was great on each and every event. Especially her Floor routines will always have a special place in my heart. It was so much alike to the ones from the 'old continent', if you know what I mean. 😊😋😀😁😃😄😆😍
I loved Shannon Miller and her Gymnastics back then. She was really artistic. Her Floor routines were really compatible with the ones from Russia. She was spectacular on Balance Beam.... a great gymnast of her time.
Shannon Miller was my idol when I was growing up. I wanted to be just like her. I can remember trying my best to always imitate her but, of course I was never as good as she was.
I started with artistic gymnastics, when I was quite young. In my time it was common, that kids (or their parents) chose a sport for you, to keep you busy.... and I was more interested in gymnastics, than I was interested in soccer. I actually was afraid of the balls hitting me, as far as I remember. But only when I watched those elite competitions in gymnastics, the fire was started within me and I truly loved the sport and followed it - oh so many years. It is great, that you idolized her and aspired to be like her.... she was a good role model!
@@Boban1611 I was a big fan of Shannon in the 90s. Never thought of her as sad... but she was very focused and extremely determined. Her medals speak for themselves.
Greetings Kimberly. Well... Shannon was quite successful in the 1994 Goodwill Games Silver in the All Around Silver in the Horse Vault Final Silver at the Uneven Bars Gold at the Balance Beam Gold with her beautiful Floor routine
@@kimberlyjohnson2147 I wish it would be still possible to record things on VHS. But I guess it is all about money. In Germany they permit or deny you the right to record with a digital device on the HD channels... just as they please. On VHS you were able to record everything you wanted.
What Shannon Miller won and accomplished was in a short 3yrs despite the injuries. It took Simone Biles at least 5yrs uninjured to match Shannon Miller. So I don't know why Simone thinks shes the G.O.A.T. when it's Shannon Miller who is the greatest of all time
gymnastics is more than beam and Shannon doesn't have the skill strength or durability the gwoat has you can have better technique than someone and still not be better than them when simone biles is at her best there is not a single female that can beat her period that's the difference the new generation would wipe the floor with Shannon
@@minseconds6850 wrong..gymnastics is about technique, which Si-man biles don't have. Shannon has both power and artistry which today's gymnasts. Don't have...at all. Period. Shannon would still come out on top. Look at how she just used to put Kim Z in the dust. Kim Z is just the same as Si-man Biles and Kim couldn't compete with Shannon.
@@FirstLast-ys9mz by your logic then Shannon should have more medals than biles because it's about technique lmfao your a biles hater it's clear 🤣 you should stop sipping hate juice biles is the greatest woman ever at gymnastics you don't like her because she strong black and wins everytime Shannon couldn't come close to the difficulty level of skills biles does and that's just the base of the mountain not even trekking up stream yet again it's clear your a hater 😉 21 medals read em and weep
@@minseconds6850 Shannon was an all-around world champion in 1993 and 1994 and won 5 medals in Barcelona 1992. She was definitely much more than a beam specialist

Her beam routine is so beautiful and full of different moves. That's what is missing in today's beam!!

she is the best USA gymnast ever, sorry Simone, but it's true. Greetings from Belarus

My favorite floor routine of hers. Just beautiful!
She seemed often very melancholic and sad.... the music emphasized her demeanor. Beautifully done....

Shannon's double layout off bars always seemed like a struggle.
What were her placements?
