Two things that struck me. How Javarceay could be so calm and quiet through all those interviews while hiding so much hate and jealousy underneath. My heart hurts for him
Sadly anyone close is a suspect until ruled out. That way the investigation is thorough an they can get a clearer shot at finding the actual suspects. Sad that's how it works but it helps them weed out anything an everything
Javarceay Tapley is a pathological liar, kind of person that after you shake their hand you have to count your fingers to make sure some are not missing.
U can really see that 19 year olds 9th grade education when the homicide detective is asking questions hes talking to him like if he was a little child to get the answers hes asking
He seemed like he was just quiet and didn't articulate his answers much. If that's what it takes for you to deem someone uneducated, how do you think your writing is perceived? Not a shred of punctuation and abbreviating "You" into "U" like a child. I'm guessing 7th grade? 6th?
While formal education/schooling can strengthen socialization -that has nothing to do with his social interactions with the police. Maybe that’s just his disposition because he’s being questioned about a serious crime 😂
The first young man should have lawyer up before giving information that put him at the scene of the crime. I hope he got off with no prison time. Wrong friend.
He wasn't only jealous of Caleb, he was also envious of him. When you're a jealous individual, you hate to see people happy, with nice things, etc. HOWEVER, when you envy, you look to take and destroy. It's a lethal combination.
I would like to think this is somehow abnormal, but it's not, it's the norm. I feel so bad for the grandfather, this is why we are so carful about who we allow in our home. You can't trust anyone and it's going down hill.
I don’t think that word means what you think it means. And what’s going downhill? Your trust in anyone? That’s a you problem you might want to figure out. Watching nonstop crime shows change you, not the people around you. Maybe take a break and find something other than crime cases to watch.
It's sad when one person taints the whole pool but it's stories like this that stopped my husband and I from fostering teenagers. We take in younger children but there's too many instances of foster parents being abuses and hurt by teenagers.
Absolutely. I thought earlier how them trying to help got them killed. You hear it again and again and I know from personal experience. I am totally wary now.
I get the distinct impression that Tapley knows the detective doesn't believe him but keeps going anyway. Robert's whole world shattered to molecular bits, and to Tapley, it's just another day. imo
Absolutely horrible and heartbreaking. After working in criminal court for 20+ years, I'm not shocked and thought minutes into this video there was a jealousy element. You really have to keep anyone away that you feel has this trait, especially if they value stuff. The guy told his cellmate he would kill them again if he could. I believe him and feel this was also about a deep hatred for them. What a devastating loss for these families. My heart goes out to them all. 😢
Wow that was chilling. When you're moving about in your daily life, or at home (!) remember there are people with this level of depravity and indifference among us. Be ready.
45:24 what I don’t understand is the amount of jealousy one can have over a family member who NEVER had a choice in the way they were raised. I deal with this right now. I am going to give context to this situation while TRYING MY HARDEST TO NOT MAKE IT ABOUT ME. I am thirteen years younger than my oldest sister; nine years younger than my middle sister. I (at the time) was the youngest as well as the only child. All of my cousins besides two are older than me. When MOST people grow up in this circumstance only grown up with having a favorite cousin or maybe a couple of favorites. I will never get the feeling of being sooo envious of a family member that you will take their life for what they have ZERO CONTROL IN. I can see the home the victim grew up in , the Christmas afforded to Caleb with several gaming consoles. Expensive shoes meaning a certain status for a teenager who has BOTH OF HIS PARENTS. I can truly relate to the victim being brought up in a well-to-do home that was raised as ’spoil’ having no idea how much jealousy & envy is circling me like sharks 🦈. A valuable lesson learned for anyone who knows the victim. Never be quick to show off your lifestyle to others who don’t have what you are afforded to have. Sad.
What made Jacarceay Tapley think that he was going to get away with this ??? 🤔 The way he was talking to the detectives seems like he has done other stuff before and got away with it ....js ...
He was laughing, having casual conversation, yawning...thinking he would walk free, after this horrific killing of his own family. So evil... no remorse whatsoever. Glad the other guys were charged too. THEY ARE EVIL!
The nerve of Javarceay talking about he’s ready to go bc he has school in the morning and he’s sleepy. Then concerned he’s going to get “poked” when they took his DNA sample. All of this concern about his own well-being when he murdered 3 people, including a little girl! And for him to be just 17! Evil gave him a false sense of maturity in a way bc he’s lying and communicating with the detectives like a pro. Smh! Evil!
This broke me.. I have 4 children.. One is my 7 year old daughter.. I couldn’t imagine.. I just couldn’t.. wats wrong with this world we’re all living in..? Seriously..? 😔.. prayers to the Family🙏
No monies and probable cause. He most likely was lying anyway. They couldn’t take his word for his level of involvement. Sucks but that’s the reality of these situations.
At the end it said he lied about some parts. He said they walked there but they rode on a moped. And the jailhouse snitch said the leader guy said they were going to kill the lookout. So, there’s probably more evidence that he didn’t just accidentally involved waiting outside like he said but was part of it and knew what was happening and his role was the lookout.
Killed HIS OWN COUSIN over shoes that the grandma would have probably bought him HAD he asked since he was spending summers there, vacationing with them, and she was already buying him clothing. Smh
It wasn’t about the shoes. It was the envy in his heart. I can imagine it reached a level of obsession. Almost as if he saw Caleb living a life that was supposed to be his life! He wanted thy family that home the opportunities Caleb had. Even beyond the material things. He did not want Caleb to have what he didn’t not have. Evil!
My father was always reticent of his side of the family. Taught us to keep a safe distance from them. Not that they would be violent, but that if you granted them a request, they would be back for another one, and another one. Eventually they would become a nuisance. My mother always wants us to commiserate with our cousins and hang out. Just because they are blood, doesn't mean you should be close. You never truly know how they feel and what liberties they will take with you because of relation. I'm glad I took after my father on this one.
🙏😢It was heartbreaking to hear husband, father & grandfather, Robert Short make that 911 call. Condolences to him, his family and the victims friends. I’m glad justice was served although Instill think they should have received exactly what they gave the victims.😢

Two things that struck me. How Javarceay could be so calm and quiet through all those interviews while hiding so much hate and jealousy underneath. He thought, at 17, he could outsmart the detectives. I hope he gets a very rude awakening behind bars. Then, at the end, to hear the sister say how her little girl pretends that her cousins are still alive and 'plays' with them is beyond heartbreaking.

Yes, mine too. I can’t imagine his pain.
His whole world was brutally crushed, just as he was looking forward to his golden years as the patriarch of the family.
The sleep of the guilty. Every guilty person I've ever seen in an interview room falls asleep in minutes when left alone. To mentally escape, I presume. He is so cocky, erasing his phone, denying everything, but that changed when he was arrested. He was found guilty of bruatally taking the life of 3 family members, including a
10 yo little girl with his hands. Evil.
This young kid Jervarceay thought he was smarter than the average Bear, he really thought he could convince the detective that he was not that type of person. I have seen kids like this. I have spoken with kids like this. Passive aggressive, slightly antagonistic, telling the detectives to do his job casually, getting close making eye contact, making jokes. It’s a heck of a thing when you are speaking to demons face to face and it’s not for the weak. When you realize you are talking to a demon, you have to stand ten toes down. It’s definitely spiritual warfare!
hi! can you explain what you mean with the term "to stand ten toes down" ? thank you
@@laser00”standing ten toes down” is an expression that means you are so committed or devoted to someone or something that you stand on both feet ( on ten toes) to support it, or in this case, defeat it.
I just wonder where do young kids get that must of hate in their hearts???
It’s not JUST hate that’s the issue, it’s the lack of respect for other people, and for human life. Society doesn’t value those things, and parents are becoming lazier and lazier these days. That’s why these things happen.
It’s so hard to even think of how people can become this evil. The only thing I can think of is possible abuse or neglect from a very young age. It can cause people to become numb. If they don’t care about their own feelings, they don’t care or value others. This is how people become sociopaths. It’s so hard to comprehend this level of evil is even a possibility.

My heart breaks for this family.
U can really see that 19 year olds 9th grade education when the homicide detective is asking questions hes talking to him like if he was a little child to get the answers hes asking
That has 0 to do with education and more to do with the person not wanting to incriminate themselves by giving too much detail
If you're gonna snitch you gotta bargain for a deal FIRST, not after you give up your accomplices.
The first young man should have lawyer up before giving information that put him at the scene of the crime. I hope he got off with no prison time. Wrong friend.
@brightleo958 he saw that boy being tied up he had a phone he could've called for help

Javarceay couldn’t stand the fact that Caleb had parents and a family that loved him. That was envy and the motive for all of this. SMH
He wasn't only jealous of Caleb, he was also envious of him. When you're a jealous individual, you hate to see people happy, with nice things, etc. HOWEVER, when you envy, you look to take and destroy. It's a lethal combination.

Sad.
No lies told and it's sad🙏🏽
What made Jacarceay Tapley think that he was going to get away with this ??? 🤔
The way he was talking to the detectives seems like he has done other stuff before and got away with it ....js ...
He was laughing, having casual conversation, yawning...thinking he would walk free, after this horrific killing of his own family. So evil... no remorse whatsoever. Glad the other guys were charged too. THEY ARE EVIL!
He seemed like a pro. Even the way he communicated made him seem older than 17. He was cunning. Pure evil!
I cannot imagine the unbelievable heartbreak this man went through. How do you stay sane after finding your entire family brutally slaughtered?
The nerve of Javarceay talking about he’s ready to go bc he has school in the morning and he’s sleepy. Then concerned he’s going to get “poked” when they took his DNA sample. All of this concern about his own well-being when he murdered 3 people, including a little girl! And for him to be just 17! Evil gave him a false sense of maturity in a way bc he’s lying and communicating with the detectives like a pro. Smh! Evil!

i dont understand people man how hard is it not to commit murder
The kid that told htem about it, all the details still got 30 years? Should have gotten a lawyer.
with what money? he said he didn't even have a job.
Also, he took a plea deal. He probably had a lawyer and the plea deal made more sense than going to trial.
Guilty by association .... 🤷🏿♀️
