Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I was very nervous for my first day but now I'm not. You gave more information and helpful tips than anything I could find on the app.
If you deliver after the expected time & arrive late - Will it count against you ? Things happen store is busy , very little staff, or traffic on the road ! Thanks for sharing
Sheet my first day was Friday I was a bit nervous but common sense will get you through. On my second round it was better less nervous and knew what to do
Thank you! I just signed up and I’m assuming there won’t be as much prepared food and things with COVID-19 issues....possibly? I’m trying to watch some of these videos before I try my first order...but so far, I’m just getting myself a bit anxious about everything. Haha. I’m sure it will be fine once I “get my feet wet,” but thanks so much for the tips! Have you been shopping lately? Stores are out of many things nowadays it seems so I guess I’ll just play things by ear. 🤗🤷♀️👊🏼
Thanks for all of the great info. for all of us new shoppers. I wanted to ask you about how the batches populate. I have not started yet, just getting everything ready to start. I watched the batch notifications last week and there were constant batches available at Publix which is where I would like to shop. Now this week, I am not seeing ANY for Publix, only Aldi ( where I don't want to shop). If I drive near the Publix will the app populate batches there? How does that work? Thanks again - great videos and feedback!
I got hired a month ago and I'm too nervous to start! I'm worried about how to actually use the app step by step. I haven't (yet) come across a video that takes me thru that. Shopping tips and the like, yes, but when batches come up on my notifications all day, what exactly happens once I accept one?
This video literally answers that question. Watch all the other videos in the series for even more information. That's why the playlist is called "Instacart Shoppers COMPLETE Training Course"
Thank you for this video! Except the thing I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere is-- What do you do when you've completed shopping and it's not a "full-service" order but just a "shop-only" order? Where do I go and what do I do once I've checked out?
Hey Chad... I liked your ideas about containing spills in your vehicle, I find that instead of car mats, boot and shoe trays come in a variety of sizes and are meant specifically to contain spills from melting ice and snow, or anything wet for that matter. For between $10 and $20 each you can contain spills on the floor, seats, or trunk. Deuces!
Eh, that's a cheapskate solution. Invest the money on weather tech or husky liners or similar products. They're custom made to fit the exact specifications of your vehicle. You already spent thousands of dollars on your car - why not drop just a little bit more to protect the floors for the lifetime of the vehicle! BTW I showed the floor liners in my "tools and items all shoppers should have" video.
I have a question , I was trying to do a replacement and customer was fine, but I could not get item out of order that i clicked Found It- how do i take out
Hi Chad. Thank you for posting this series. I have a couple of questions for you. In CT they charge for bags if you don’t bring your own reusable ones into the stores. Do customers mind the bag fees when they are added to their orders? It seems silly to use just the reusable ones. Also, right now with the current situation of Covid19, do people request contactless deliveries? If so, does it say that it is requested in the app?
Join a facebook group for local shoppers in your area and ask them how it works with reusable bags. No-contact deliveries are the norm now. I showed this in one of my most recent videos.
Did I hear you correctly, you can shop at a different location than the shopper app shows? I really hope that is the case. I had an order that sent me 5 miles away, then had to deliver back a few blocks from where I started for $7. Same named store, but the app sent me to a location that is very small and out of half of the customer's order. Needless to say I was not a happy shopper.
I've contacted instacart care (hit the icon like headphones in any help page) and have them change the stores after I took the order, if they can't (which hasn't happened) you could always ask them to unassign you from the order.
Hey Chad thank you for these videos! Watching them now, have not received card yet, so I want to get some information. Also one question, do the customers pay for the bags or do you have to buy them?
Thank you for all of this! Question: If they're out of an item and the app prompts you to choose another one similar what's the difference between that choice and contacting the customer for "their" second choice. Maybe I missed that. Also, is Instacart card debit or credit?
The app will automatically default to the customer's pre-selected replacement. If the customer didn't pre-select a replacement it'll suggest something (it thinks is) comparable. Use your best judgement on a replacement. Or just play it safe and refund the item. Still, the customers have SOME responsibility to watch their phone and approve or decline changes.
Thanks for doing these videos. Very helpful and informative. I am going to start in a few days. I was curious if instacart covers pet stores like Petco, Petsmart etc? If so, how often do batches come in (on average for city such as Phoenix) for pet stores? Thanks for your help.
yes but those pet store orders are rare and those customers don't tip.... in fact most customers don't tip any more across the board. Instacart used to be great, but they slashed the pay to the bone. Don't get your hopes up.
Random Question, I’m not 21, since you have to show ID at checkout, does that mean that I cannot accept orders with alcohol purchases? Haven’t started yet, just trying to get these questions answered now before my card comes in the mail in a few days.
I thought you had to be 21 to even get the job in the first place? You'd better ask Instacart about that. The only thing I can think is that your account won't be shown orders with alcohol.
I’m new to instacart and I delivered alcohol to the customer .. I had it setting on the porch next to me. The customer was a female. A male answered the door and showed me his ID and I said “sorry sir but I need the ID of the person who placed the order” he went violent and aggressive and lunged at me and grabbed the case of beer and threw it in his house and proceeded to violently yell at me! I left completely shaken and fearing for my safety!!! I want to know how to remove alcohol from my account! I don’t want to deal with crazy violent people! My friend who told me about instacart said the only vile customer she has had was a lady over a fifth of whiskey that couldn’t be delivered
Hi Chad and thanks for the videos. Could you further explain the produce section? For example, how do you handle something like this; white onions 4/~.074 lbs. I'm very confused. I had an order requesting bananas 4/ ~.89 (can't remember the real amount. This number is just an example). I thought the customer wanted 4 bananas weighing approx .89. When in reality she wanted 4 bunches of bananas. It made no sense to me. Help!
The weight is instacart’s estimate of what each unit should weigh. When in doubt text or call the customer to ask them what they want. It’s not that difficult
how would we know if the background check cleared? i already got my card and set it up on the app. does the card automatically work once i set it up seems so simple.
NOTE: This is a redux with about 5 more minutes of material about how the check-out process works and all the things you need to know about the app at that point.
I just finished your Shopper’s series. Thank you very much. They’re great! I’m going to take my first batch tomorrow. Question: One of the stores Instacart partners with here in Cleveland Ohio is called Dave’s. They have a good sized self checkout area. Is it possible to checkout that way? Also I noticed when shopping for myself last weekend that stores don’t want you to bring in your own bags now. Have you noticed any restrictions yet in bringing insulated bags into the store?
Yeah you can use self checkout. I use them all the time at BJ's and Sam's Club. I wish Publix had self-checkout. There's not much reason to bring your insulated bags into the store. The only time I bring them in the store is when it's pouring out so that I can bag up the bags without getting them wet.
You might have to scan the barcode on the reciepts for some stores. I think IC makes you take a picture of the receipt for some stores on the west coast.
Hi I am new shopper the second delivery I had I contact the customer for replacement but she didn't respond at that time and I take action to replacement close to she order while I reach the address she told me she can't accept them she needs to refund them that was each $1.59 x 5 and in total 50 items and I told her I can't refund them for you while I contact you many times you should tell me because it will take time for me to drive again 10 km in 2 ways then she cancelled the tip that she was gave me. So was that my fault please let me know to get more experience for future remember she wants only to refund 5 items not all the items thank you
Chad, I need to ask you one question and sorry if it's a Stupid Question. In my area I have just one place to shop and that's Aldi's. At the checkout, do I hit credit or debit? I was reading online it was Debit and I am supposed to enter a 4 digit PIN code? Can you help me with information. Thank You.
Thank you for posting the video, informative with good tips that I had not thought about. I am a full service shopper, as of today I have performed two shops and I have noticed a problem: after I accept an opportunity the only address that I can access is the shopping location! In both of my shopping events I have had to ask the customer for their delivery address, If ANYONE knows what I'm doing wrong, please let me know...! Thank you in advance!
when you swipe to start delivery the app will show you the customer's address. Watch my video about how to deliver. It's the next episode in this playlist.
there's literally thousands of videos, books, websites and courses that will teach you basic video editing techniques. I'm not going to explain it in a comment.
Chad The Gig Economist lol I was saying if we had a very long wait until another batch. I’m not sure if you stay in an area the app will direct you farther and farther from my house when the day is dont idk, I tried Uber for a month and it did thy somehow so yah, that’s different and think I did something wrong 😭 thanks anyway. I’m about to try it out today and a bit nervous 😬
The whole point of these jobs is that you work on the road. If you want to stay in one place get a regular W2 job. Expect to put mileage on your car. Also, make sure you get commercial auto insurance. If you crash while working you can be deactivated from the platform AND your insurance agency might cancel your policy if you're using regular personal auto insurance.
How do u complete the trip , I lost connection in store and communicated with customer via phone and she sent me the address but I can’t complete the trip just says your all done shopping
I had the exact issue on my very first shop yesterday. It was very stressful. Plus, it said I was at the wrong store for 40 minutes and I couldn't shop.
Hi. I just tried to do my first shop and the checkout clerk asked for pin number. I was never given pin number and trying to speak to Instacart customer service and I was in hold for 40 mins and then they unassigned me. The customer was not happy
@@GigTube dude I'm telling you it was not easy. And it's near to impossible to get a human to speak with. It all robots. To be ho est I found the 5454 number from a Reddit stream
I'm waiting for insulated bags to come in the mail. I have everything else set with Instacart. Can I start while I am waiting for the bags to arrive? Any feedback would be appreciated.
You don't have to use their bags. Get the red, green, and purple bags from Walmart that I show in this video. Watch my video "Items all Instacart Shoppers Should havE" for details.
Oh my gosh 4:17 was what I was looking for! Yesterday was my 1st time shopping for 34 items, I didn't do any of 4:17🙄 Because of that I don't know the customer's address and I didn't take any photos of receipt (I saw on different video? Then instacart start messaged me etc. 😒
Depends. If the customer ordered deli or subs that order will go directly to the store shown in the app. If you try to shop at another store it won't let you. If they didn't get deli or subs you can go to any store but Instacart won't reimburse you for the extra mileage so it's just best practice to go to the store shown in the app.
Maybe but what would be the advantage? A phone on a lanyard is ideal because you can let go and it’s hands free. You use an iPad I guarantee you’re going to drop it constantly.
@@GigTube Well, instacart gave me the option of adding the instacar mastercard to my apple wallet, which I did do since I haven't yet received the physical card yet. I can see the last three digits to it. It says I am ready to start shopping but since I have never used the wallet app before I am unsure on how to use it properly. Do you know how?
I just started this week in I been doing small ones.. i did take a bigger one for my second batch in big mistake my phone was dying n lady wasn't answering me when a item was only one or not available.

Hi Chad, I'm Carlos and I thank you for all your contribution and development with these great videos, excellent explanation and this has helped me to be a better Shopper. I need your help, today I went to make a purchase in instacart when I was in the payment box to pay, I did not pass the card, nor Apple Pay, the manager tells me to contact instacart and solve it, for 20 minutes. I couldn't find a phone that was not successful, in the end I tried to pay again and received a notification that I had a special reminder that something like the amount was higher, ahhh, I thought? When we took some pears, the customer gave instructions that each one should weigh 0.68, had to load 8, and so I did, the pears I picked weighed a little over 0.80 on average, when I put the weight on the app, it said that the total was a lot, so I decided to put the .80, which was the average of each one and I accepted the application of the product, that's when I decided to ask the cashier to cancel them, then I made the payment again and the invoice happened, then I had than pay for the pears. giving the customer only costs 7 dls. My question would be, what was my error, I followed the instructions and put everything correct, each product passed the scanner well? Any recommendations you can give me? Thak you so much Blessings
Quick question: I'm already approved, received an email saying I'm ready to shop, and am receiving available orders/ batches. I have not received the instacart physical payment card in the mail yet. However, I was able to link the instacart payment card to Google pay. Do you know if I'm able to start shopping only using Google pay without having received the physical card yet? Thank you for your time.
@@GigTube I thought the order was already paid for by the customer before we go to pick it up. If we are able to use google pay are we the shopper paying for the order and then being reimbursed? Or does the customer send us (the shopper) the money and we use that to pay. I'm confused. Because im getting batches send to my phone but I dont have my card yet either, but I do have google pay.
Yes they do, they're under the belt. Just take as many as you need. When you're done checking out the app will ask how many bags you took and passes the cost on to the customer (just try to take as few bags as possible).
Wassup Chad!! I'm enthused. You posted this six months ago, and I haven't seen a paper bag in a supermarket for more than three years, now. Where did you get the paper bags?
Weird. There's paper bags at every store around me. They're going to be very popular soon as more and more states and individual cities ban plastic bags.
Not really. I get nervous if I'm delivering to sketchy neighborhoods but I'm rarely worried about the customer. If you're legit scared to meet this person face to face, just take the loss and cancel the order and let someone else deal with it. You're much more likely to be attacked by their pet dog than the customer themselves (unless they're a nutjob).
Thanks for your tutorials I signed up for instacart and worked a few orders. What bothered me the most were the customers adding/replacing items through chat, they are super effin annoying! And pay doesn't change doesn't matter you are wasting more times and doing a much larger order! One crazy B*tch ordered 6 items, at the end after she changed her order 100 times such as exchanging her period pads for chocolates, I had circled the store for ONE HOUR, eventually her order was only FOUR ITEMS!! What would you do with crazy customers like that? Also can I refuse delivery requests such as calling their cell phones or going through their backyard to deliver to a special basement door etc.?
You need to put your foot down and tell them they will have to cancel the order and start another order if they’re going that many replacements. A lot of that is on you for capitulating.
@@GigTube Ayy thanks for the quick reply. I've got customer support to remove me from orders like that since then, but then I ran to the store for no reason, I got my dignity but no pay, sucks either ways 😑
Lol ikr I just started and this lady kept ordering paper towels knowing damn f******* we’ll stores are out so I refunded her she kept asking for replacement I got mad and had to tell her the whole aisle is empty jeez 😑
I ordered some items such as insulated bags and the wagon, but I have a question about paper bags. At the end, you mentioned to use them. Are you buying in bulk, or buying as part of the customer's order? Another video seemed to recommend buying a pack of 100 paper bags.
I said if you have A LOT of frozen/cold items you can do them first as they'll keep each other cold. Otherwise do them last. And no, nothing will "melt" inside the store unless it's over 100 degrees and you're in there for 3 hours. Cold food warms up much slower than hot food cools down. BTW if your order contains hot food like rotisserie chicken, ALWAYS save that for last.
This is a good question as many chain stores like Kroger in my area may not carry the same type of items. Does the customer choose which store you shop at? Or can you shop at that chain closest to you?
I use Apple Pay. If you don’t have your payment card yet, call the store in advance to confirm they accept Apple Pay at checkout. Not all stores accept it.
When you first start out do they offer you bad orders I’ve started last week and get lots of 30 items 14 miles $13 does it get better later? Also do you have to do alcohol or prescription drugs to make decent money would like to make 2 to 300 a day
Unfortunately you’re about two years late. Instacart was great before covid, now it’s massively over saturated with shoppers. They’ve slashed pay to the bone. The salad days are long gone my friend. Your only hope is to multi app. I run 15 apps and I still have a tough time making $150 a day.
Hey I'm experiencing app failure. ... The customer delivery address just disappeared and now I can't see it in my history has this ever happened to anyone before????
FAJJ Mahdorvie yes, make sure you are using the latest version of the app. If this still does not fix it just call the customer to get their address. My last delivery the customer address was wrong in the app so I had to call them to get the correct address.
That's probably the toughest question of them all. If you say you won't add any more items you risk having your tip pulled and/or getting a 1 star rating. You could bullshit the customer and say there's a limit of 3 additions per customer, but then you run the risk of them saying "I've added 10 items with other people before" (or something like that). Or you could just say that you're not being paid more to add extra items and it's really not worth your time. I usually just add the items people want so that they don't pissed off.
You don’t want to do that. Not good you accepted a batch complete it. I’ve been there on my first try she kept adding I was getting pissed but I got them and checked out.
No videos talk about what happens when u cant complete cause you have no service where the customer lives? What about weighing produce? What about when you have made a replacement and moved to the next aisle and the customer wants a different replacement, does this effect your time? What about when the app is glitchy (example: your getting 2 carrots the customer selected when your ready to enter weight and amt you see the app wants you to scan a barcode??? For carrots? What about when a bag breaks and something becomes damaged at the cust residence? If you have ever used the chat you know they do not answer rt away sometimes 15mins b4 a response. Please make a vid about these problems that may arise during your experience.
You should be able to figure most of this stuff out on your own without someone holding your hand. It just takes some common sense. If you want videos answering EVERY possible problem that could arise, are you going to sift through hours and hours and hours of videos to find the answer? or can you use some logic and reason to figure it out yourself?

Sorry, I just saw you have a vid describing the current climate with COVID-19...I’m on it! 🤘🏻
This was the most informative and organized video on Instacart shopping I've seen. Thank you for doing this. Now, I'm off to watch your other videos.
Glad it was helpful!
There’s training within the app that shows you how to do it.
Ozark bags were a great idea. Makes my life much easier. ty!
All your maps and locations are in my backyard of Winter Springs. Very helpful videos.
This was very informative! I will be looking at your other instacart tips, as well! Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Needless to say I was not a happy shopper.
only if the store is partnered with Instacart. Not all stores in all chains are. I have no idea why.
Chad The Gig Economist hi chad, question, how would I know if the store is partnered? Thank you so much in advanced, been loving your videos!!!
Also one question, do the customers pay for the bags or do you have to buy them?
when you check out it'll ask you how many bags you bought and it'll charge the customer for them.
@@GigTube Thanks for your input. Your tips have been extremely helpful. It's a process. Appreciate you.
Chad The Gig Economist nope! You just have to be 18, I thought it was odd too, thanks for the quick reply !
Super helpful. Thanks a bunch
@@GigTube Thank you
Hi Chad, I was interested in your spreadsheets. Are these homemade or do you use a software?
thegigeconomystore.ecwid.com/The-Instacart-Shoppers-Earnings-and-Trends-Tracker-p166981640
In South Alabama very few people use Instacart. It is quickly becoming the MySpace of gig work.
how would we know if the background check cleared? i already got my card and set it up on the app. does the card automatically work once i set it up seems so simple.
I don't remember.. Just call SH and ask them if you're cleared to start working.
Kinda late, but if you scheduled a shift their reminder that your shift is about to start tells you you're good to go.
Do you have to put in the receipt information at checkout if the payment with the card goes through ok?
You might have to scan the barcode on the reciepts for some stores. I think IC makes you take a picture of the receipt for some stores on the west coast.
Hi I am new shopper the second delivery I had I contact the customer for replacement but she didn't respond at that time and I take action to replacement close to she order while I reach the address she told me she can't accept them she needs to refund them that was each $1.59 x 5 and in total 50 items and I told her I can't refund them for you while I contact you many times you should tell me because it will take time for me to drive again 10 km in 2 ways then she cancelled the tip that she was gave me. So was that my fault please let me know to get more experience for future remember she wants only to refund 5 items not all the items thank you
You’ve gained a new subscriber my friend :)
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome Thank you. Your information is very helpful.
Thank You.
The app will tell you whether you're supposed to use the card as debit or credit. If you choose debit, it'll tell you the PIN.
@@GigTube thank you Chad!!
When a customer texts you while you are shopping wanting to add on items, how do you add them on ?
It's pretty self explanatory. You just tap "add new item" and scan the item.
How did you make your video. I.E., how do you ad the picture of the app in your video?
there's literally thousands of videos, books, websites and courses that will teach you basic video editing techniques. I'm not going to explain it in a comment.
Chad The Gig Economist Stop being a Chad, Chad.
So is the 5.3 miles to the store or from the store to the persons house? When you drop the food off, do you go back home or stay in the area?
from the store to the house. I wish they'd do like doordash and show the total mileage. Why would you go back home?
Are you able to shop at a different Publix than the one the app tells you to go to?
sometimes
Hi chad what’s the name of the credit card provider Instacart uses to pay at checkout ??
no, what's the guy name on second base
Lol ... I heard pexcard ?
Do you have to purchase the bags at aldi? If so, how do you charge the customer?
Yes. The app will ask you how many bags you purchased for the customer after you finish checking out.
How do u complete the trip , I lost connection in store and communicated with customer via phone and she sent me the address but I can’t complete the trip just says your all done shopping
Yeah the Shopper app has been having MAJOR issues lately. Join a local facebook group and ask other shoppers in your area what to do.
The app tells you the PIN number or tells you to run it as credit.
@@GigTube I finally got the number. It wasnt easy to find
@@Vanzywanzy5151 its extremely easy to find. Make a short showing me how difficult it is for you to find the PIN number.
@@GigTube dude I'm telling you it was not easy. And it's near to impossible to get a human to speak with. It all robots. To be ho est I found the 5454 number from a Reddit stream
If you can't find the pin number maybe this job isn't for you.
This was super helpful! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
During checkout, is there a card we use to swipe or does the cashier instead scan your phone?
yes, Instacart is supposed to send you a green debit card. Don't start working until you have it.
I think both. Online paid orders scan the phone. But I'm confused too. Im still confused. Aren't all orders paid online first?
Great info l learned something new thanks
Oh my gosh 4:17 was what I was looking for!
Yesterday was my 1st time shopping for 34 items, I didn't do any of 4:17🙄
Because of that I don't know the customer's address and I didn't take any photos of receipt (I saw on different video?
Then instacart start messaged me etc. 😒
Thanks Chad that is helpful
So you can shop at any Publix ? Not specifically the one on the app.
Depends. If the customer ordered deli or subs that order will go directly to the store shown in the app. If you try to shop at another store it won't let you. If they didn't get deli or subs you can go to any store but Instacart won't reimburse you for the extra mileage so it's just best practice to go to the store shown in the app.
Chad The Gig Economist thank you for explaining this. My app tried to send drivers across town to a target when there was one a lot closer. Take care.
When you go to checkout, do you have to inform the cashier before they ring up the order that you are with Instacart?
Not usually. If you're wearing your lanyard they can tell.
What’s a lanyard??
Can I use a cellular iPad mini for shopping?
Maybe but what would be the advantage? A phone on a lanyard is ideal because you can let go and it’s hands free. You use an iPad I guarantee you’re going to drop it constantly.
@@GigTube I understand.
@@user-ce2le8ml9y please watch my video “accessories all Instacart shoppers need” for a visual demonstration.
I am new to instacart and don't have my card yet. How do I use the apple pay app/wallet thing?
how would you enter your card numbers into apple pay if you don't know what they are?
@@GigTube Well, instacart gave me the option of adding the instacar mastercard to my apple wallet, which I did do since I haven't yet received the physical card yet. I can see the last three digits to it. It says I am ready to start shopping but since I have never used the wallet app before I am unsure on how to use it properly. Do you know how?
you use it the exact same way you'd use your own CC or debit card on apple pay.
I just started this week in I been doing small ones.. i did take a bigger one for my second batch in big mistake my phone was dying n lady wasn't answering me when a item was only one or not available.

I have a phone with a busted front camera, is there a way to load items in without taking a picture of the barcode?
no. You need to get your phone fixed (or a get new phone).
@@GigTube thanks for the quick reply chad I appreciate it, I'll fix my phone asap!
Thak you so much
Blessings

Chad The Gig Economist Thank you so Much Chad!!
Yes. That's what I've been doing the past week. Just make sure you turn NFC on in your phone and make sure the store accepts it.
If the store accepts Google pay I guess you could use that. In my area, almost no stores accept phone payments.
Thanks for the responses! I went out yesterday and can confirm that you can use google pay if you have it properly set up.
GemStone Slots instacart give u a virtual payment card to use. The shopper does not pay for the items.
Do you shop at aldi cause they don’t give bags to bag up customers order
Yes they do, they're under the belt. Just take as many as you need. When you're done checking out the app will ask how many bags you took and passes the cost on to the customer (just try to take as few bags as possible).
I like to shop for produce first since it's the most time consuming
once you know where everything is, you can fly through produce section.
@@GigTube I'm getting better now I just want to ensure that its fresh as possible
Produce isn't so fragile that it's going to go bad between the time you put it in the cart and the time you deliver it.
@@GigTube Here in California where I live, paper bags are very rare. We don't use the old type of plastic bags but a newer reusable plastic bag.
Has anyone had a customer get aggressive and violent with them? Or have you ever felt unsafe making deliveries?
Another video seemed to recommend buying a pack of 100 paper bags.
you don't buy paper bags at all. You get them from the store.
@@GigTube Thanks for responding! I am so happy that I found your channel. I definitely subscribed!
Chad The Gig Economist In Calif. you have to pay for bags at checkout. Would this be included in the App?
I only instacart shop in two stores so I know the stores
why would you do frozen foods first? wont it melt?
I said if you have A LOT of frozen/cold items you can do them first as they'll keep each other cold. Otherwise do them last. And no, nothing will "melt" inside the store unless it's over 100 degrees and you're in there for 3 hours. Cold food warms up much slower than hot food cools down. BTW if your order contains hot food like rotisserie chicken, ALWAYS save that for last.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Can you shop at any store when fulfilling orders
Sometimes. The store has to be partnered with Instacart. And the app has to let you.
This is a good question as many chain stores like Kroger in my area may not carry the same type of items.
Does the customer choose which store you shop at? Or can you shop at that chain closest to you?
Do you give instacart receipt ?
You never give the customer the receipt. Instacart emails them a receipt.
Great video!
Does using an Android phone make a difference. It seem that I'm missing somethings?
The android app actually has a few more features than the iphone app. I like the iphone version better.
How do you add the weight of a product if it is lets say 1.78lb on the app because it only takes a whole number not the point and 78
There's a decimal point. Look carefully. It's in the bottom left corner.
Okay thanks I will look next time thanks for replying back
How can I pay for apple pay or google pay?
The app shows you how to do it but this would make a good entry in my Instacart FAQ series!

How to check out without instacart card?
Try setting up Google/Apple Pay. I did.
Ruth Njobvu adeleye you can’t
I just finished my first order and I used The insta Cart through Apple Pay. I’m using it until the physical card comes in the mail.
I use Apple Pay. If you don’t have your payment card yet, call the store in advance to confirm they accept Apple Pay at checkout. Not all stores accept it.
I use Apple Pay still waiting on card. Instacart will approve Apple Pay on your phone
Can a customer take the whole tip back?
yes but that rarely happens

no
When you first start out do they offer you bad orders I’ve started last week and get lots of 30 items 14 miles $13 does it get better later? Also do you have to do alcohol or prescription drugs to make decent money would like to make 2 to 300 a day
Unfortunately you’re about two years late. Instacart was great before covid, now it’s massively over saturated with shoppers. They’ve slashed pay to the bone. The salad days are long gone my friend. Your only hope is to multi app. I run 15 apps and I still have a tough time making $150 a day.

Well 5 cases of water and juices and soda may slow anyone down... Im talking HEAVY LOADS large orders. Its one thing it is just a heavy small order
so i missed the part where you walk up to the store employee and jam your phone in their face is this a action that is learned somewhere else?

Oh...for a customer, I hate to receive a melted ice cream. I checked a shopper picked an ice cream first....
What do you do about excessive customer add on’s in the store? How do you tell a customer no?
Your great at giving advice for this job what an expert. Keep it up Ill definitely being sharing and liking this vid. Lol Sike!
Is it possible to make 500 dollars a week working 30 hours?
