SAP Ariba supplier onboarding process improvements

We recently worked to revive #supplier #onboarding process for our client. #Business was taking more than 32 working days to onboard a normal supplier. The #agility of the business to work with more competitive suppliers was compromised affecting their growth and was introducing unknown supplier #risks.
#Supplier #Risk #assessment was manual and dependent on individuals. Approvers were taking more time because of out of system due diligence activities. The #supplier #certificates required for onboarding were not managed, causing compliance issues. There was no transparency for end users resulting in low #process #adoption.
The role of #procurement was #undermined and business identified process #loopholes to onboard suppliers without proper due diligence & #risk #assessment which was a big risk to the business. The scenario was not helpful for #growing #business.
