Well, there is this little thing known as the Indus Water Treaty that prevents India from weaponizing the rivers and India has not violated that treaty yet. And then there is the point that the water that does flow to Pakistan, Pakistan has not created the required number of dams for its fair share of water that it receives, so any water scarcity it faces is its own problem. But knowing Pakistan, it will try to blame India for it, spend money to make a few documentaries on this subject and in those documentaries, it will blame India while failing to mention how many dams they have built. When the Soviets took Afghanistan, many of the Afghans went to Pakistan to escape, there Pakistan (with the Support of the Americans) were convincing the Afghans to fight, It was not only Afghans but also some poor Pakistanis. Pakistan opened a lot of Madarsas (places of Islamic study) for these Afghans, so they learnt about religion and they were indoctrinated to fight the Soviets as it was ISLAM against the NON BELIEVERS SOVIETS. It was easy to recruit this way. The word Taliban comes from the word Talib which means students. These were people who were heavily indoctrinated by the Madarsas to fight a religious war against the non-Believers. So they were able to indoctrinate the people for fighting the Soviets, The Saudis were funding it, the Americans were also using their funds to buy weapons from Egypt and other countries which were using soviet weapons like AK-47, RPG etc. The Americans did this because they wanted to fight a proxy war, they did not want to have a direct confrontation with the Soviets. here all they had to do was supply money and weapons along with Saudi, Pakistan had set up Madarsas to train Afghan and Pakistani students about "Islam" and indoctrinate them to fight a "holy war" The Soviets held back, but then with the fall of the Soviet Union, things began to unravel, the Soviets put an Afghan Govt of Dr, Najibullah and left Afghanistan, but then Pakistan then armed the Taliban with Tanks and even planes (Migs) to fight the Afghan govt, Dr Najibullah was brutally murdered. The Taliban then ruled Afghanistan with an Iron hand directed by Pakistan, and Afghanistan went into the stone age. In the 70s Afghan women wore Skirts and pants etc, they were very open, but a decade of this "Holy war" and Afghan women are covered like a Post box. Same is the case with Iran which has Islamic leadership, So in a way Pakistan provided the weapons (from America) to the Taliban and controlled them with indoctrination. Many of the Taliban groups are still taking directions from Pakistan.

Well, there is this little thing known as the Indus Water Treaty that prevents India from weaponizing the rivers and India has not violated that treaty yet. And then there is the point that the water that does flow to Pakistan, Pakistan has not created the required number of dams for its fair share of water that it receives, so any water scarcity it faces is its own problem. But knowing Pakistan, it will try to blame India for it, spend money to make a few documentaries on this subject and in those documentaries, it will blame India while failing to mention how many dams they have built. When the Soviets took Afghanistan, many of the Afghans went to Pakistan to escape, there Pakistan (with the Support of the Americans) were convincing the Afghans to fight, It was not only Afghans but also some poor Pakistanis.
Pakistan opened a lot of Madarsas (places of Islamic study) for these Afghans, so they learnt about religion and they were indoctrinated to fight the Soviets as it was ISLAM against the NON BELIEVERS SOVIETS. It was easy to recruit this way. The word Taliban comes from the word Talib which means students. These were people who were heavily indoctrinated by the Madarsas to fight a religious war against the non-Believers. So they were able to indoctrinate the people for fighting the Soviets, The Saudis were funding it, the Americans were also using their funds to buy weapons from Egypt and other countries which were using soviet weapons like AK-47, RPG etc. The Americans did this because they wanted to fight a proxy war, they did not want to have a direct confrontation with the Soviets. here all they had to do was supply money and weapons along with Saudi, Pakistan had set up Madarsas to train Afghan and Pakistani students about "Islam" and indoctrinate them to fight a "holy war" The Soviets held back, but then with the fall of the Soviet Union, things began to unravel, the Soviets put an Afghan Govt of Dr, Najibullah and left Afghanistan, but then Pakistan then armed the Taliban with Tanks and even planes (Migs) to fight the Afghan govt, Dr Najibullah was brutally murdered.
The Taliban then ruled Afghanistan with an Iron hand directed by Pakistan, and Afghanistan went into the stone age. In the 70s Afghan women wore Skirts and pants etc, they were very open, but a decade of this "Holy war" and Afghan women are covered like a Post box. Same is the case with Iran which has Islamic leadership, So in a way Pakistan provided the weapons (from America) to the Taliban and controlled them with indoctrination. Many of the Taliban groups are still taking directions from Pakistan.
