This movie showed how to be patriotic without being cringy or overboard. Also showed how technically sound u should be when making armed forces movies. They also didn't use unnecessary songs or love stories for such a movie which is like a disease of Bollywood. This did change the taste of a lot of viewers since India makes too many "patriotic" movies where most of them are poorly made and just for business. Slowly those are being called out
Also, they did portray PM Modi there (who was talking about having dinner with Vihaan) and Govind as Ajit Doval who is our head of intelligence and known by whole world.

React to the real man Ajit Doval, the man who in this movie was breaking his phones all the time. He is the National Security Advisor of India and one of India's greatest spies. He spent 7 whole years in Pakistan as a practising Muslim, this along with many other interesting and great missions, he did. Every single person involved in these stories is a hero, hats off to such bravehearts.
The URI attacks were needed to prove to the world that India won't stay silent now. Pakistan has always been taking advantage of India's passive non-violent "welcoming" nature, it was time to give it back to them. India never started any war but yes we shall bloody hell finish it.

Paresh Rawal is a very versatile actor, he has played negative characters as well as hilarious comedy characters. You should see his comic acting in "Hera Pheri" (There are actually 2 movies with the same name you should go for the year 2000 one). Also you should see "Hungama" (2003) too. Very very Few Modern set back Indian Army Movies , all the great movies were period, and this is the good one. we want more , some movies happen though, like Siddharth anand movies , but they miss certain ground level things. And it is not necessarily to be the the Pakistan Antagonist one to be represented, it can be any tensions that our present defence force is tackling , even a natural calamity. Being a Tamil / a son of ex sub-major, I am really happy that hindi film makers constantly trying to make films/stories on real heroes. Thuppaki , soorarai potru and varanam aayiram are the only few of the modern setback military based/touched Tamil movies.
