Imagine if they released this again in the vintage collection could make it siege of mandalore themed. Could come with that clone pilot ahsoka saves or maybe a 332nd trooper or a mandalorian
Oh man that would be amazing. It’s also rumored that we might see a re-tool and remake of this model next year because it is the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones. And the last time we saw it was a toys r us exclusive. But making it siege themed would be even better !
Thank you for your review. It help to know everything about it.Got this for my son this Christmas it coasting me $220. My daughter is getting the speeder bike that goes with it like the music.
I have it with all its missiles and bombs and the two bubble turrets that were released later with figures in them. I also bought the clone wars rocket launchers that have eight extra missiles in them so I can interchange them with those, I also bought the brown clone speeder bike that disassembles in two and fits in the back as if it’s being taken into battle ready to deploy. You don’t see them in the movie, but the behind the seems when George Lucas first sees and approved the model they show the back holds two speeder bikes just like the AT-AT does. I usually put the clone pilots that came with the turrets as the pilots and gunners. It’s great to use for reenacting scenes from Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, both clone wars shows, or just your imagination.
I really enjoyed the way you smile with delight when you talk about finally getting this model. The world is full of confusing and frightening developments, but your video was a communication of just good feelings and fun. Thanks.
I actually found one of these complete at a toy show in my town. The guy I bought it from even threw in the figures and the bubble turrets that were sold separately. 10/10 I recommend getting one of these!
Nice review but a couple corrections. There was no such thing as an Army of the Republic line. This was part of Saga collection. The undersized ball turrets were not included with any release of the LAAT gunship but rather each Saga collection Clone Pilot included one ball turret. You needed two pilots for the ship and thus you would get two turrets. This was the first of six total releases of this model. The Saga Collection(2002), followed by The Clone Wars(2003) Command Gunship(Black details), Revenge of the Sith(2005) Republic Gunship (inverted green and maroon details), Saga Collection 2006 - Republic Gunship(blue tiger stripe deco from 1st Clone Wars micro series), The Clone Wars 2008 - TRU exclusive Republic Gunship(Crumb Bomber, retooled with complete doors and hatches), and Walmart excl. Republic Gunship (Lucky Lekku). While the piloted ball turrets are nice, they are technically too big for this model(and they look it) as the Gunship itself was scaled down to keep it at a decent price point.
It does not fit completed. You have to stow the nose in the slotted base and have the speeder sit on top of it then locking the feet in their own slots. I should have done a video of it being stowed but it does fit
Can’t tell you how good this looks displayed with the more accurate 2009 bubble turrets that fit gunners in them. I bought two packs of those a few years ago for $50 total. They each came with two detailed accurate and articulated pilot figures with removable helmets. Now they go for like $200 for one pack. #inflation and #scarcity #secondarymarket
Oh goodness those “figure fitable” bubble turrets are my biggest biggest regret I’m not getting for my LAATs I have the ARC shark faced one also but no full size turrets. The packs go for as high as 150 now which is almost the secondary market price for the vehicle itself ! Glad you got some ! Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more
Hello friend thanks for subscribing ! This detailed for an unbelievable 35 dollars. Astounding for the size and playability, hasbro used to do better by us Star Wars fans.
Binary Sunset Review wow that’s insane. You can barely find these under 200 now! Yea hasbro kicked ass back in the day. There super articulated clones were the best
You can barely find them complete at all for Under 200! Oh those clones were my favorite, I have an epic collection of them which I am planning on featuring soon.
The scale is 3.75” scale, Star Wars legacy scale! Historically Star Wars figures have been in this scale. Nose art sounds like great idea. Stay tuned for more !
Hey brother I have the other speeder bike , the dark burgundy one and how do I install it inside the gunship? Do I break it down or just put it long ways because I tried breaking it down but it wouldn’t fit
Apologies on the slow response ! But aha the burgundy speeder bike is a relic also. It is actually the same design as the white one I believe but printed on year post. It does break down to fit. You only need to remove the front of the bike but you do need to rotate it 180 degrees around and have the bike sit on top of the front part. It actually fits in the mold with the notch in the front the gunship fitting the notch of the bars. The back notches are molded to fit the pedals of the bike. It is snug but intentionally so. Thanks for the watch, stay tuned I’m gonna do more another gunship soon
These are the stock currency of had to collectors and rise and fall with the tides. Since we got our tease of the phase 1 trooper TVC 4 pack I expect these will be getting popular again. I got mine at a local shop at the current eBay price then
Back around 2003, I got a loose (complete except for the hard-to-find tail gun) model with extra figures and vehicles for just $20 at a church garage sale. Soooo glad I didn't wait years later, whew!
Thanks for the views ! It is a fabulously amazing vehicle. It’s a shame we didn’t get a repack for the anniversary but this does remain “sad panda” expensive
Great question! This gunship did have some add ons that came in exclusives and in the regular line. Toy R Us had an exclusive Battle Pack that had the bubble turrets that are seen in the film and included in the TVC release. These bubble gunner battle packs had two figures and one bubble gun to a pack and were called Clone Wars Geonosis Assault. To complete to gunship with pilots and gunners it required two packs. These now go for minimally 150 for one on the secondary market now. There was also a speeder bike and clone trooper deluxe set that accompanied this model and fit in the bay neatly along with the troopers when disassembled. This is modeled in the review and shown on the box.
Unfortunately no those figures are part of my collection and were added to make the scene fill out. But all figures across the Star Wars line fit perfectly in this vehicle
Believe it or not this gunship is only 10 inches tall maxed out. It is a big boo but surprisingly slimming compacted to the Falcon and Razorcrest. The TVC model uses the same frame also
A very good question my friend. Considering that the 20th anniversary came and went last year without anything more than 3 TVC figures exclusive to Walmart. I would assume that we will not be getting a reissue of this vehicle not only in TVC but across any line. This vehicle truly is the definitive mold of the LAAT in 3,75” scale and there is no better transport and display for our clone troopers! It also tends to fluctuate between prices. 200 is an average price over the last few years and I would expect it to go up not down, especially the for the complete set.
I hope hasbro brings it back in the near future because I would love to see that republic gunship again in the Star Wars vintage toy line
Imagine if they released this again in the vintage collection could make it siege of mandalore themed. Could come with that clone pilot ahsoka saves or maybe a 332nd trooper or a mandalorian

The way the doors slowly open. Kudos to the designer
I like the two storage bays at the bottom of the wings.

Man always wanted this as a kid bought it today
That’s great to hear! They are hard to find now a days but unparalleled in quality and still the best clone wars item to have
Hey Mike. This video from your back catalogue came up in my feed. Really glad it did..
According to rumor, they are going to release another one of these in 2022 for the 20th Ann. Of AOTC.
Nice review. I appreciate the background music.
Great collection

I bought the specific speeder bike that is supposed to fit in there but cannot get it to work for the life of me
oh wait, you gotta break it down. that's a bit of a let down but THANK YOU for literally being the only video to explain that
It does not fit completed. You have to stow the nose in the slotted base and have the speeder sit on top of it then locking the feet in their own slots.
I should have done a video of it being stowed but it does fit
Watching this in June ‘21 so can’t believe it now 19years old 😲 Amazing
Isn’t it amazing how well these models hold up and how we have not seen an equivalent since
I don’t think I’m going too far by saying it looks almost like a movie prop.
Haslab pls do the gunship justice !!!!!!
Jaw drop at 0.29. Magnificent vehicle

Do you know what retail was for this. Also love the review, definitely subscribing!

Binary Sunset Review please do! I never seem to see anyone post their clone army anymore
I most certainly will than my Grand Army of the Republic is strong !
That's a nice huge At At Walker right there
That it is. 2010 TVC Toys r Us exclusive right there. A great build and quite the full scale !
Okay, I have this and need to look for some parts but my question is, what scale is this considered because I want to get a nose art decal for it
The scale is 3.75” scale, Star Wars legacy scale! Historically Star Wars figures have been in this scale. Nose art sounds like great idea. Stay tuned for more !

Got to say that 150 on the secondary market was surprising to hear. I imagined at least double that
It’s shooting up now with all the pretty clones they are giving us in the past few years. The repack of the TVC phase 1 clone was amazing!
@@BinarySunsetReview where did you get this, there is one at my local bedrock city but it is 200 and not 150
These are the stock currency of had to collectors and rise and fall with the tides. Since we got our tease of the phase 1 trooper TVC 4 pack I expect these will be getting popular again. I got mine at a local shop at the current eBay price then

Had this as a kid and I destroyed it playing with it over the years and from moving house to house but god wish I still had it
This was quite the relic and still holds up as well today! We will get a reprint someday, we simple have to
I got it for 30€ at a flea market today. And for 20€ the Jango fett Slave 1
I heard these gunships had add ons. Does anyone know all of them?
