  • It was a long couple of days plowing and salting but spring is is sight and concrete is right around the corner. It's hard to believe that a large complex would have a snow plow contractor not show up but that's what happened. It worked out good and I made some good money. Enjoy

Watching these videos over the last two years, with all of the ups, the downs, the starting and completing of projects, and all the laughter in-between, gives me that mental feeling of still being at the job with the crew and also a level sanity (and therefor joy) that I cannot thank you enough for. Ryan, and meteorologist Andy Hill are part of the "Y'all Squad" and their forecasting is spot on. I watched their entire stream during hurricane Ian hitting Florida and they were on the money the entire time. The biggest thing was even without power I could still get real time live information as the storm was coming inland. I didn't have to wait an entire hour for a 5 minute segment. There are many, many people claiming Ryan and Andy saved their lives during the recent tornado outbreaks as well. They are college educated professionals that are on RUclips, not just YT personalities or shock jocks. Personally, I do take them seriously.

My back is in bad shape and you have no idea what it means when someone just helps you out, most of the time they won't, so thank you and your great attitude!!! I asked a guy mowing my neighbor's yard once to mow behind my fence, right beside her lawn. Three straight swipes, no obstacles to go around, maybe 25 feet each. He was on a 60 in mower. You would have thought I asked for the world. He did it, though very begrudgingly. I asked him how much I owed and he said 20.00....I gave him 40. Then he wanted to pick up some lawns, I guess so he would have a lot in one area, but the attitude he gave me that first day, I just called another company. First impressions mean everything.

I hope your clients appreciate your attention and dedication to providing quality service. Our current snow removal contractor likes to send emails informing how they will be waiting for snow to completely cease before clearing - so I guess we weren't left wondering, for whatever that's worth. Meanwhile, folks still need to be able to get out or in. Thankfully I never got rid of my snow blowers, and have cleared neighbors garage doors from drifting, as well as the road on multiple occasions so folks don't get stuck. I understand folks get busy, but if you can't handle the workload, don't take it on. I would much rather give our business to someone else that is looking for work and willing to put in the effort. Unfortunately, our current HOA refuses to find an alternate contractor...for now.

We found 95% of our breakdowns were triggered by stop and start type shut offs as that is when issues show. We have a rule, once the machine starts for a storm...it never gets shut off until storm 100% done. Fuel it running, evening if sitting for two or three hours we dont shut it off. Way less machine down emergencies since then. Just what works for us.
