42: I happen to like FFVII:AC, and I happen have a DVD copy of the movie.
Same here, though I got a bluray later on and gave the DVD to my friend.
Advent children wasnt bad, I enjoyed the movie. If anything the movie got me interested in FF7 to look past the polygon model gameplay and actually pick up and play it to understand what was going on. FF7 is now one of my favorites.
Just because you enjoyed the movie doesn't mean it wasn't a bad movie, you know. Not saying it's trash or anything, but it definitely wasn't good or even great.

Imo advent children is an amazing movie when watching after the Original and after reading On the Way to a Smile

Few things wrong with this video. Final Fantasy Anthology did indeed compromise FF5 and FF6 in the states, but in Europe FF anthology was actually FF4 and FF5 with FF6 being released as a single release as a port of the SNES version and as a result it had awful load times.
Advent children was not bad but that is subjective I guess, however you explained the story wrong. Upon Sephiroths death in FF7 his spirit returned to the life stream as is normal of any living creature in Gia. However his will was so strong that he was able to stop his essence dispersing into the life stream and as a result he was still conscious whilst simultaneously being part of the life stream. He used this to his advantage by creating the Geostigma disease which would only effect people who had jenova cells within them. This was due to failed spehiroth clones breeding as normal humans. He aims to infect them and bring them together for the Reunion which is Hojos theory about jenova cells calling out and finding each other, he wants to do this to be reborn. Kadaj and the other two villains are Sephiroths will made manifest essentially acting puppets, so a lot more involved than you made out.
Chocobo racing is not in Final Fantasy X the footage you showed was from final fantasy x's chocoholic training mini game where the objective is to dodge blitzballs and seagulls to train chocobos to be mounts at least that's the lore reason.

FF4 was released in NA as FF Chronicles, including Chrono Trigger (for some reason, albeit thankfully)

Yes Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite FF game as well as game overall.
It's also the one that got me into the series way back in 1998.
Bought FF8 and FF9 and also FF10 on release days!

Fact No. 48 is incorrect Final Fantasy 14 also has time zones called: Eorzean time as well as Nordvant time. And I can't confirm but I'm quite sure 11 was the same

Aww thank you that's very kind! With the current isolation laws in the UK, we're now having to record at home instead of our cosy booth. This also means I have to be a bit more mindful of neighbours and stuff. We'll most likely be back to normal once we're back in the office!

Advent children isn't bad. You just didn't bother to understand the story and characters that the movie is trying ro convey.
Tbh! It’s still basically fanservice, but unlike another fanservice-heavy movie I could mention, there is an actual plot that builds on the original.
And let’s be honest, as someone who started their FFVII journey with the movie (I know, stupid decision), it was still enough to draw me in enough to play the OG and I still mostly followed the plot regardless.

Cloud was still feeling guilty about the people he was close with that died for him.
His guilt and pain and stigma he wanted to hide from Tifa becauae he feared it would worry her.
Which is why he asks Vincent "Are sins ever forgiven?"
And he still had the pain when he said to Arieth "But I let you die..."

Supernova is why I never went to level 99 and beat Bizarro & Jenova legit without KotR.
Safer has significantly more hp if any character is at max level, and its even more if you use KotR in the previous two fights. I think the HP range is like 80,000 to over 400,000.

4:22 Ahh that tech demo... I vaguely recall that they used mmmm Softimage 3D at the time... Altho I know now, Squeenix's pipeline is mainly Maya based, there was a solid chunk of time that most studios in Japan were using Softimage - as late as a Final Fantasy XII
Correction: during the scene of aeriths death there isn't just 1 inconsistent error, there are several throughout the fmv and even during the cutscene prior to the battle with jenova
The Aeris/Aerith character’s name being translated to Aeris is more accurate to the original Japanese Hepburn , but both spellings are accepted I’m not trying to say one is better or more correct just that the part about her name in the video is not entirely accurate.

FFVII is my favorite game of all time! While it was that time period where we were often playing on a friend’s console, etc, I ended up playing the bulk of the game on you guessed it, the PC version. Issues or not I was so grateful this version existed!

Here in Europe FF Anthology included FF IV and V, VI was sold separately and it included a FFX demo. Origins with I & II was released later.

Final fantasy 7 advent children is essential for anybody who likes ff7 and it's one of the most beautiful cg films of its time also cait pronounced Kate then sith like star wars and crisis core is a prequel not ff7-2

I never once played the game. Somehow I ran across characters on RUclips with bits and pieces. I became intrigued when I first saw cloud. I watched more and more video clips which led to more and more video clips which led to Advent children which I liked a lot. I am intrigued by the characters but never once played the game and do I want to know. I just want to see more movies and more video clips. Can't wait to see remake number two. Hope they make sephiroth into a hero again. Hopefully working with cloud and zack.

Honestly, the fact that FFVII is what caused the rift between Squaresoft and Nintendo is why it’s sometimes bizarre to me that FFVII is now on the Switch. I get the same feeling wrt Sonic games being on Nintendo systems, too. 90s kids are forever shook by both of these tbh.

There is a counter argument for the Aeris translation. Apparently the kanji literally translates to Aerisu. Japanese letters typically combine a consonant and vowel sound as one letter, and often not having a different sound for 2 common english sounds like L and R or S and TH. The thu, and su sounds are actually the same sound.
(I am not an expert, I am merely recalling the argument given by an assumed expert)
Either way Aeris is just nicer on the ears and more natural to say on top of the nostalgia of the original release.
You only don't like FF7 AC because you obviously are not a fan. It was not created with the unfamiliar in mind. Even if you've played the game, if you are not at least moderately familiar with the deeper lore you will not get it.
How could Reeve design the mako reactors if he's only 35 yet they had begun development for 40 years before... he may have been a part of the final design but clearly could not have been THE designer
getting the red sub means you can still access key to the ancients, the sunken gelninka and emerald weapon, but you have lost the huge materia for good, may as well reset to your last save.
In the early demo of the game tifa is in the first mission and thus she was part of the guard scorpion battle, developers clearly just removed her but the left the dialogue code in.
The video keeps referring to "Square-Enix". It was Squaresoft. It wasn't until 2003 that they merged with Enix.

FF7: Crisis Core will not be ported to other platforms any time soon because a Japanese Pop singer GACKT keep blocking Square Enix from been ported.
Square Enix has to remove or change Genesis since the singer GACKT owns Genesis appears.
