Hey great instructional video for a young guy. Most videos made by young folks are pretty worthless from a technical point of view. You show that you know what you’re talking about and explain it to your audience well.
Thanks for the great solution clip buddy. Dang that choke orifice is small. My smallest cleaning wire from a welding tool wouldn't fit. I'm going to try a guitar string. I shot the usual carb cleaner through it and guys point it away from your face, its one of those, haha.
my buddy's ttr never starts up we always have to clean the carb and put gas down the cylinder and crank the idle for it to start. . .but it also had pine needles in the tank we found later on
Nice Explaned Videoes. It Works. Yor bike sounds so Nice at Really Low idle At 4:00.. Can you run it for 30sec 1min at that low idle without stalling... Regards J.

Use carb cleaner or brake cleaner,
this video is so old but if anyone else experiences the hard start problem, get the valves in spec and it’ll start first kick lol this is so simple
This is not true in the slightest. Just having the valves to spec will not guarantee it starting “first kick”😂 don’t let this comment fool anyone
On my ttr125l I pull the choke up and find were my piston has the most compression and it comes right to life great video though

If you charge your battery turn the choke on hit it with a little bit of gas in a fire right up

The choke is on the handle bars there's a little black knob in the middle of the bars that you can push and pull back and forth that is your choke

get him a kx85 to start got lots of power but is manageable for somebody his age
