    Good job this was the best video I watched and helped me and my son replace. the clutch plates on his TTR. Thank you for mentioning the torque values. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and my suggestion would be to convert your foot pounds in to inch pounds for the smaller diameter bolts. It is much more accurate but the only thing is you need a torque wrench that will measure in inch pounds. Thanks again.

      I got to get me a smaller torque wrench. I appreciate the advice.

      @@selectiveperformance6121 I have five of them, all different sizes and ranges. I also have a torque screwdriver that allows me to accurately torque small screws. It only goes up to 50 inch pounds but I can torque something as low as 10.

      Why is it best to convert to inch pounds for the smaller bolts?

    I must say it's really awesome but you cut right to the chase you got right through the video being very detailed in the video without explaining all kinds of nonsense about this and that and this and that you kept your video short simple and sweet. Why more people haven't checked out your video is beyond my comprehension because you didn't spend hours and hours talking about one little easy project to work on. Thank you very much

    Gracias! Great tips here! (1) Cardboard box bolt organizer - genius. (2) wash the outside of the case and the seam before opening the clutch.

    Great vid - thanks. What is the reason for rotating each subsequent metal plate by 90 degrees?

    • @selectiveperformance6121
      @selectiveperformance6121  5 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure but my best guess is for oil to drip or fling around. Manual said to clock them 90 degrees apart.

    So the clutch plates have oil on them,and if not what did you put on the clutch plates?

    • @112Dean_racing
      @112Dean_racing Год назад

      Most likely the clutch plates and springs will not come in oil you’re gonna want to soak the clutch plates and oil for a few hours before installing them with the exact same oil you’re gonna run in the bike

    • @selectiveperformance6121
      @selectiveperformance6121  Год назад

      I just soaked them in motorcycle oil

    • @YogiTheBearMan

      It’s the same concept with many motorcycles. Unless you have an old Maico… I really enjoy the oem catalog From www.rockymountainatvmc.com. It helps see the parts brake down.

    • @selectiveperformance6121
      @selectiveperformance6121  2 года назад

      There’s is a ball bearing on the end of the push rod in the center of the clutch hub. Also all my bikes have one there. I didn’t take that out on this job. If you keep the bike on it’s side it will stay in place.

    Of the acuator arm
    And final cable adjustment
