Hey guys, I need feedback on video creation. I've been making short videos for years, and am learning long form videos. With this being much longer than normal, I'd like to know if I should have cut more of this footage out. LMK in the comments
Loving the longer form videos Nate. No need to cut them more. I agree with the comment above anyone not enjoying certain parts can just skip forward. Me personally I really enjoyed the longer video. Also loving the videos with will! You guys are the combo the internet never knew it needed! Keep up the good work!
I’m 70 years old, sitting in my old chair and just enjoying watching you guys. This is so cool just seeing the beautiful woods and hearing your conversations. I’m thoroughly enjoying this.
This was great. Glad to see you showing Will things and seeing him willing to learn. Most 20 yr old think they know everything... Nice video Will and Nate.
I've been a residential/commercial carpenter and superintendent for 2 decades, I'm now a real estate inspector in Texas. Nothing makes me more happy than building all sorts of stuff out of reclaimed and scrap materials for my friends and family. It's always so much fun and the most rewarding type of work in my opinion.
Uncle Nate Your the Man! Wills more prepared to survive and its thanks to you and helping out a young fellow who is kind hearted and wants to succeed and learn! Enjoy your morning coffee tomorrow knowing you did a good thing ! Hat off to you Nate! Elder of the tribe with knowledge and compassion
This is one of the best long form videos you have made. Absolutely love the collab, the teaching/learning being done, and y’all work together so well. Look forward to more videos like this! Great job guys!
I honestly love the long form videos. I watch your videos while I do my makeup in the morning, or drawing or crafting. It’s nice to have on in the background. Even though I’m from Australia, all the nature and building noises still sound homely to me. I also have a weird way of doing things sometimes so seeing you work with will and be so patient and adaptable is very encouraging for me. I was doing an electrical apprenticeship, and was made fun of a few times for the way I did things… but they worked! So thank you for teaching will there’s NOT just a single way to do things
9:35 , voice over is dope , love all the content so not gonna skip to 20 mins , making Wills interesting ways of doing things work and seeing everyone smile is what im into
Thank you Will,Nate,Jesse,Jenn, and Minion for creating wholesome content and sharing your lives which allows me to be able to take attention off of how I am feeling. I'm a grump from Grumpland.
How fortunate for Will not to just have the expertise and skill from Nate but also the use of all of his tools. That table saw makes much cleaner lines than the chain saw. Thanks for implementing the importance of leveling and squaring everything. This collaboration is amazing and watching the friendship grow is beautiful. Keep making these videos.😊
@@sunflowerbaby1853 whos land is he playing on now?? Is he still living in a apartment and working a job. He said he just goes in the woods to make content and did own any of the land. How did he sucker nate into helping. Wonder who was looking for views more.🤔
@@c7adventures376 Hi. He is currently living on a second homestead that Nate purchased this year. Nate invited him to live on the land for free and allowed to build a house there. He can stay as long as he wants or can leave whenever he wants. Nate has also offered him ways to make money doing odd jobs on the land such as help restore the old School house building. He is living on the land permanently and has his friend Jessie filming him. He currently has made a house on stilts. He is very entertaining and motivated.
@@sunflowerbaby1853 thats cool. Much better than doing it illegally and only part time. Seems it might be a little more real this time. Nate has alwsys seemed chill. I wonder why he would help this kid that had a job and apartment instead of helping someone that was actually outside trying to survive. Either way its his land and he can do as he wants. Cant help but think his YT status helped a little. If he helped a regular joe. It would come with any followers. Again thanks for the reply. Best wishes to you and your family. 🤠👍
@c7adventures376 Adding more context. Will actually did quit his part time job to do it fully after he got into legal trouble for doing it illegally the first time. He did it on another dude's land and was doing well but unfortunately some stuff happened (with the land owners and some disputes) and he was forced to leave and had to start over which is when Nate swept in to lend him a helping hand.

I watched and enjoyed the whole thing and would definitely watch more! It's also easy for folks to fast forward, especially with your direction. When I saw the materials Will was collecting, I was hoping for the type of style you created! I'm too old to try to build something on my own at this point, but I enjoy learning 😎. I vote for more of these long format videos. Thanks!
Nate I personally love watching you mentor Will. I truly enjoy watching your guys Colab videos you are a solid human and hopefully your channel will show the world that there is hope in humanity!!
The house is looking good, guys. Just a word of advise before winter sets in - insulate that thing! Even if it's just layers of newspaper stuffed between the walls. Take it from someone who spent several winters working in at a desk inside an uninsulated metal structure - those walls will get COLD, and your heater will not keep up with the waves of cold air falling off of them.
I think you are forgetting will came from Alaska where he spent a winter in a non insulated shelter so I’m pretty sure he knows what he is in for to a certain extent. Will definitely has mentioned insulation though he’s probably just not to sure what and where to get it.
@@TheOnlyKontrol Newspaper, dry grasses, recycled and shredded denim, waste wool from a sheep rancher... The important parts are enough structure to not collapse in the wall spaces, and small air pockets. - edit: oh, and not rotting or being too flammable!
. Saw a wall full of cardboard movie bills used for insulation, they had never gotten wet. There may be some dampness coming through this metal wall tho.
I love this… watching and listening to the discussion and the sounds of the tools! I’m a city 60-something working wife and mother. Not familiar with carpentry, homesteading, etc. but thoroughly enjoying the content! Kudos to you all! Including the pets and critters!!! ❤
KILLER episode Nate. You really came through for will that was nice of you, it's good to see you help each other out. That lil camp is going to be sweet. Keep doing what your doing your Chanel is growing bro👌🏽
That is pretty cool looking. Well, as in neat. Actually, this reminds me a little of the sweat boxes in the "Bridge Over The River Kwai" ... 😉 Be glad for so much shade, until insulated. Great job, guys! This was so fun to watch!!
Love then new intro Nate gotta keep it man. It was awesome watching you help will. His place is looking good thanks to you. All hail lord minion!!!!!!!!!
Just watching you guys work and Minion doing his thing is actually really soothing. So, no worries about making these long formats more Info-dense. This was very cool as is. Hope Will keeps warm enough by getting some insulation on his home
Came here from wheel survives channel and I gotta say I’ve become a big fan of Nate and I’ve started watching his channel now and it’s become one of my other favorite channels now Nate has a lot of patience and a very big heart and him taking Will under his wing and sharing his skills and knowledge with him them to combine together. Its really great to see Nate teaching and letting Will do things and mess them up along the way. Will is now going to be able to do all of the things he's learned throughout life,it's really cool to see this team in action.❤
I really enjoyed you two building together. Will’s a little too energetic for me (oh gawd that probably means I’m getting old) but when you’re with him, he kinda seems to transfer some of that extra energy to you so both of you have such a great happy vibe together ❤
I don’t comment much. I had to on this one. For me, I loved this video. I don’t think it was too long. I enjoyed all of it. Especially you and Will working side by side. You teaching, Will learning. Breaking it up with dogs playing was great. The conversation and laughter was spiritual. You could fell the love and friendship in the air. Power on Dudes !!! Good of you to help give Will some walls before the wet season arrives. Will needs to be singing....I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control...and I think I like it. :)
now that’s a awesome relationship you guys have made
You two working together is fantastic content, more please
I definately enjoyed the whole thing
Watched every minute and now waiting for Will to post Part 3. ❤😊
I enjoys watching you guys work and leaving all the quit bits in but whatever works best for you, I’ll keep watching. Your content always keeps me entertained throughout short or long.
Nate your a great soul for taking Will in and letting him crash there and not only being so welcoming but also teaching him some skills along the way. Your a solid man brotha much love from Canada and i cant wait to see you both getting after projects together
I love both styles. I love the detail talk and the casual. Keep anything coming plz, from both of ya!
This was SO much fun to watch! You two are hilarious together! It's looks so awesome, I'm so happy for Will. Thank You!! Can't wait for the next one! ...And don't cut anything, you could even leave in more stuff that doesn't have talking, I like it all. :)
My name is Will, Don't do drug. You heard the man. Then the music love it. Best intro to a video ever.
Mics helped a ton now we can learn with Will😊
This is the type of video where you wish you were there hanging out and working too. Nate and Will the collab i never knew i needed
28 and 2 millimeters… 28 and 2 little lines… Nate’s “oh god” 💀😂😂
Finally someone that speaks my language. Those 2 little lines matter
When metric and Imperial collide! Coming soon to a project near you!
Loved that comment from Will!
I’d say 28++!! Or 28- in my head while building things that were usually 1dash above or below a measurement! Fantastic video !!
@@christianramirez2590 same. Or 28 1/2 plus/ minus 2 lines lol
love the building, but mostly love the sarcastic joking between yall. Great memories are made this way.
@@TheOnlyKontrol wasn't alaska it was new mexico. he plans on trying out alaska in the future.
I was actually coming to ask about insulation. Cause to quote the Starks "winter is coming"
@@TheOnlyKontrol Newspaper, dry grasses, recycled and shredded denim, waste wool from a sheep rancher...
The important parts are enough structure to not collapse in the wall spaces, and small air pockets.
-
edit: oh, and not rotting or being too flammable!
. Saw a wall full of cardboard movie bills used for insulation, they had never gotten wet. There may be some dampness coming through this metal wall tho.
God bless you all..., This is what it's about right here . The world doesn't have to good far .. it's all right here ....✌️✌️✌️🙏💜💗🤜🤛
I love the longer form. It's a nice break from my reality and fun to see
I love this… watching and listening to the discussion and the sounds of the tools!
My heart both lite up and dropped off at the "Rust" reference and Nate knowing what it is. I'd like to see his electrical wir8ing skills in that game
I’m thinking Jesse is learning and enjoying the process. He’s catching on. He will be a help to Will going forward 👍
Just watching you guys work and Minion doing his thing is actually really soothing. So, no worries about making these long formats more Info-dense. This was very cool as is.
Hope Will keeps warm enough by getting some insulation on his home
Nate, ppl like you are far and few in between. You are a good man for helping Will like you have. God bless you and your lovely lady 🙏
I love the discoloration of the metal ! As Will would say it's sick!
It’s awesome to see. It’s almost like a big brother little brother relationship but I really like it and appreciate the contact. Keep it coming. Awesome content Nate.
That little pup has quite the doganality!!
Didn't think I'd like that recycled tin as siding, but I really do like it. It lends loads of rustic character to the shelter. Well done guys!
I also like the rustic patina.
Amazing work! A door and another window and you’re all set! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Whoever was doing that camera work was spot on 👌
Its really great to see Nate teaching and letting Will do things and mess them up along the way.
Just finished watching youngsters video and Nate you are the man teaching Will stuff that will last him a lifetime 👍💪🏼
I wasn’t sure how the old metal roof would look on Will’s walls, but it looks awesome! To see Wills house/cabin come together was beauty in the making. Thank you for the fantastic post!
The long format with all the work put in, I really liked it. 😊
