This is the kind of project I wanted to build back in 2004-2005 but never got the detailed knowledge on how to do it. Back then I was completely self taught and just a regular curious dude, without much access to the internet etc. Then later got into web development stuff and never really went back to electronics. But it's nice to see how it's done, also with new components like arduino and wifi module which back then wasn't quite easy to find.

Simple if you understand electronics. I've got supplies for experimenting but my health caught up with me. Hands aren't any good anymore. All my fingers are out of place. I can still use them but it puts stress on my muscles and that causes toxins to build up in me. Doctors told me one day I'll be doing an activity and suffer catastrophic organ failure just simply fall dead where i stand. Kind of scares me doing anything foolish. I joked with my dad I'm going to be cleaning the toilet and fall down dead. Told him he'd have to put on my tombstone I was killed by a toilet. Not that I want to die anytime soon but I don't want to be killed by a toilet. Kind of sucks not being able to do nothing. Thanks for the videos. I do enjoy watching other people be creative.
These days everyone is using costly flight controllers and stuff. Its fun to watch this implemented without required sensors and GPS...etc. Thanks for making this video, making people realize that a plane can be flown with basic curcuitery as well, fancy flight controllers are not needed :P Thanks again :)

Why is the 100uf capacitor used? Can I make the plane without it?

Colors are representative. Signal, VCC and GND.
The capacitor is required to supply the current required by the NRF24 module. It can be used between 10uf -100uf. If you do not want to use a capacitor, you must supply external power to the NRF24 module.

@@Kendin-Yap Hey, same question here from a mechanical engineer 😃. I just cannot find why did you use capacitor here? How did you decide its Farad capacity (and depending on which formula)? How can you manipulate the current with capacitor? I think we should expect 3.3 V of voltage from in and out of the capacitor since you connect that output of the Arduino Nano. So, I don’t understand how the currrent is being changed. Couldn’t we use resistor instead? I want to get into deep of the physics of it.

Great jobs !!! For RC Plane, if you want to make it cheaper, you don't have to buy 20A Brushed ESC. Just add a Mosfet (for example: IRF3205), a diode and a resistor, then connect it to brushed motor. Of course you need to modify the receiver code. So, the Arduino control the mosfet using PWM. Cheers..... !!!

Hocam yaptım valla yaptım çok mutluyum kumanda çalışıyor , aşırı mutluyum tam 1 senedir bu projeyi yapmaya çalışıyorum para biriktirip malzeme tedariği sağladım 3 ay içinde Arduino kullanmayı öğrendim küçük projeler yaptım 1 ay sonra lehim yapmayı öğrendim sonunda kendi kumanda mi yaptım Allah senden razı olsun, kumanda alsam 400tlm gidecekti ve bir heves olup gidecekti sayende Arduino kullanmayı öğrendim ve 100 TL'ye kendi kumandami yaptım.
Lipo pil kullandın mı yoksa normal ucuz 12v luk pillerden mi kullandın

The theoretical range is 300-500 meters. Soon I will test this remote with a model airplane and publish its video.

Hello, i'm new to using these nrf24 transcievers and i have a question . I want to use them to build a long range remote control car and i was wondering, will i gain more range if i use one high power nrf24 module for the transmitter and another high power nrf24 for the reciever, instead of using one high power nrf24 for transmitter and one normal pcb antenna for the reciever, the connection will be only one-way. Thank you in advance for the reply !
You can use NRF24 PA module (with Antenna) for receiver. Range will increase. The code and links are the same.

It would really help if you released the unedited part without music and speed up with commentary/tutorial. Gives people more options and you cover the experiences people that understand at a blink of an eye what your doing and then for the newbies a solid background of what to think back on when I keep doing research. Hope I can make this work as you did thank you for the video

I made this transmitter And I wanted to test the servos without ESC (with another battery),but when I connect the servos, they rotate whithout stopping.

This circuit has a range of 70-80 meters. A range of 130-150 meters is possible if NRF24L01 + PA module (with antenna) is used in the receiver circuit.

Maksimum değerleri elde etmek mümkün ama asıl sorun orantılı ve kararlı hareket elde edilememesidir. Bunun sebebi de arduino joystiklerindeki potansların aşırı kalitesiz .

With this setup is there a way to detect and disconnect/send warning, when the liPo (either in remote and motor) is reaching damaging discharge of about 6V?
For remote I would just add lipo protection board, for plane same. If you want to get signal from plane, you should use same RF chip, as in remote, and then give led to blink, ar even better add OLED 0.96 screen on remote.

Color doesn't matter. Capacitors are not for distance. It is for feeding the NRF module with stable energy.

I have finished all the connections as per the video and I have connected the battery but I am not getting any movement in the motors . What could be the cause for it?

i suggest to use a 3.3v voltage regulator to the NRF24, the arduino regulator is not enough, that's why it hadn't enough signal range when u tested it

я не специалист в ардуино. но смотрел уроки по nRF24L01 , там указывается скорость обмена ( чем ниже- тем больше радиус) . задается режим по мощности. у вас я этого в скече не увидел, и стало интересно как это вы обошли.

( FIXED )) Hi I actually made this and for some reason It doesn't seem to be transmitting , when I plug in the battery to the transmitter , it lights up red as normal, and plugging in the receiver makes the servo come to a position and stop, its always a little movement and stops . But when I use the joysticks it doesn't work ( and no leds seem to show that it's receiving data ) wonder what went wrong?. Btw I did exclude the esc and directly connected the positive line to the servos . Maybe that was thr issue ? ( I need to control 4 servos with thus without an esc )and the servos are sg995 ,
Edit : turns out there was a short circuit in the transmitter pins , fixed that and works fine ( best way to check this is try to reupload the code to the arduino and if it doesn't allow you to upload and give you that avr dude error , it's something that could be with a short circuit )
Merhaba. Alıcıyı ve vericiyi yaptım. Farklı kişilerin kodlarını çalıştırdığımda alıcı ve verici haberleşiyor fakat sizin kodunuz ile haberleşme yapmıyor. Verici serial monitörde throtle 173 iken alıcıda sabit 127 oluyor mesela. Joystickler ile vericideki değerleri değiştirebiliyorum sorun yok fakat alıcıdaki bütün değerler 127 ve 12. Kablolamayı ce,csn pinlerini kontrol ettim fakat sizin kodunuzda haberleşme olmuyor. Alıcıda harici batarya da mevcut. Farklı 2ch kodu çalıştırıyor ama. Sorun ne olabilir?
