Absolutely great explanation of what are the differences, characteristics and application of a highway, all-terrain, hybrid, and mud-terrain tire. His description of these tires still holds up to today’s tires on the market and it is not only exclusive to his brand of Cooper tires.
I have yokohama go12 and I have problems with snow traction. I am pretty scarred to drive them, particularly in corners because front tires are losing traction, and continue to go straight ahead... Do I need more siped on st maxx for winter. Or what do you suggest. Studded tires are against the law here

Mcfobos I run the ST maxx in Iowa, I’m pretty confident in the snow with them, they don’t grip as well as a snow tire, but I wouldn’t sipe them
Hate it when I get a flat tire in the bush.
