Another great video. I greatly value and appreciate your efforts. That you share these videos and talk about your setups, line and tippet weights and the flys you use is amazing. I learn something everytime I watch your videos. Thank you for being the person you are.
Nymph fishing is my main go to. Not much luck for me on the Animas river. Caught 4 small gold bars in a day. Was tough. I need to try a Frenchie. Awesome video and great tips 👍🏽
Thanks very much for your video. I'm making my first trip to So. Colorado and I was wondering with all that beautiful, clear water what size tippet you had to go down to?
Well done Rez Kid, very nice low key narration. I caught all four in June in rocky heights of the Pecos Wilderness above Santa Fe. Your have have the soft hands for nymphing, I love the dry but the nymphe is what those big bruisers want. Thanks for sharing.
Got skunked up on the Pinos after that 4 mile hike up past Granite Mountain. I really need to try the euro nymphing. Do you do any guiding or instructing? What do you do now that the water is so low in SW Colorado?
Nice area!! Love fishing this type of river or creek. Coming to Durango at the end of August. Have you ever fished the east fork of the San Juan river. If so any tips?
I have not fished the east fork of the San Juan. I've only fished the San Juan in Pagosa Springs. In the Durango area a prince nymph is probably my most used bug. I fish them in sizes 18-12. red collar and tungsten beads.
Great video. Love the San Juans

lived by the San Juan in the 80s
I was rooting for you that you'd get a trout slam! So close! Thanks for posting your trips... this one was amazing! Such a beautiful place!

Was rootin' for ya to get that brookie!
Great video . Just subbed 👌
Thanks for the sub!
Nice!
What a beautiful river setting.
Also do you ever see the fish when you’re euro nymphing and that’s how you decide where to fish or just see the deeper crevices and go?
Usually don’t see the fish. I’ll fish a spot in the river where I think they’ll be.
