  • Worried you're going to lose your betting account in the near future?
Have you already been banned and want to work out why?
In this video, Rhys breaks down the top 5 ways to get your betting accounts banned.
Smaller books for casual punters like Coral, Ladbrokes, Skybet or even PaddyPower are quick to bring down the ban hammer. You might get away with it for longer on Bet365 or Betfair but your account is still at risk.
If you still want to implement some of these betting strategies, mix up the bookmakers you use or use a book like Pinnacle (but be prepared for tighter lines).

One of the most common reasons for checks by bookmakers is Early Play of lower division matches. For example, 2 days before a match from Kenya with an amount over 50-100 euros prompts a check and the possibility of a limit.

How would a Sportsbook know if you’re arbitrage betting with another book? Doesn’t make sense. And why would they care? Still going to lose money on one of the books.

So everyone who is savvy regarding their betting will get banned sooner or later, leaving only punters who don't really know or care what they are doing or what odds they take to provide the bookmakers with their profits. So what is the answer? Stop betting?

There are ways to help keep your accounts off their radar, but essentially the first part is true.
If you're placing bigger bets on standard 2-way markets using an exchange is the way to go. If you rely more on special bets/bet builders/same game parlays etc those tend to come across as 'casual bettor/degenerate' so you should be alright.
Will have a video giving some pointers out in the near future, but smaller books who don't do their own prices won't tolerate smarter bettors at all.

I thought most bookies are Exchanges, why would they care about arbing

    • @beattheline7089
      @beattheline7089  2 года назад +4

Exchanges you bet against other people (sometimes bookies offset their liability with them too). You can do whatever you want on exchanges because the company makes their money on commission, so the more action they take the better.
Bookies hate arbing because it basically flips the edge they have on the bettor (with their margin) over to the bettor. Chances are you're betting on at least one stale price when you are arbing, where one book has moved the price before another (often called scalping). They know you're taking value off them one way or another, they'll want no part of it.

Multi accounting isn't illegal but most bookmakers will see your IP address has multiple accounts with similar betting patterns. You'll likely get your IP address permanently banned and both accounts closed as a heads up.

If you're good you'll get banned eventually regardless, but a few things to do to prolong account lifespans:
      Bet builders/same game parlays
      Mug bets
Spreading bets across multiple books where prices are the same
      Hope this helps 👍
