Chilaw, At least 27 passengers have been hospitalised following a collision between a cement-loaded lorry and a passenger bus at Madampe on the Chilaw-Colombo main road this morning.
Police said the injured were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital.
The collision took place when a passenger bus travelling from Devala Junction to Colombo via Chilaw reportedly lost control and collided with a cement-loaded truck heading in the same direction.
The bus and the truck sustained severe damages in the incident.
The Madampe Police are carrying out further investigations.

This is only one aspect of the degeneration of our country and society of ethics and discipline brought about mainly by dirty politicians and their cronies from 1956 onwards it's a long story.We are very to the presenter for his invaluable highly educative video.The so called private bus owners and the C.T.B.should try to invite this type of resource personnel andget them to lecture to their recruits before deploying them to active service,if necessary conduct an examination at the end of the training,but such things are unheard in this decadent country.Our grateful thanks once more to the presenter!😢

ලංකාවේ බස් වල වේගය ගැන නම් හිතාගන්න බැහැ. දවසක් මම උදේ 3 ට මාතර බෝධිය ගාවින් නැග්ග කොළඹට යන්න Private Bus එකක. මගක් දුර යද්දි බස් එක පාවෙන්න වගේ දැනුන. නිකමට google map එක දාල බලද්දි 111kmph කියල පෙන්නද්දි ඇග හිරිවැටිල ගියා මගේ. හරියටම 5.35 වෙද්දි කොළඹ. පැය 2 හි විනාඩි 35 න් මාතර ඉදන් කොළඹට ගිහින්. වෙලාව ඉතුරු වෙනව තමයි ඒත් ඒ ස්පීඩ් එකේදි Accident උනා නම් ‌වෙන දේ හිතාගන්නවත් බැහැ. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් 60 - 70 වගේ උපරිම යනවනම් හොදයි කියල මටනම් හිතෙන්නෙ මගී ප්‍රවාහන බස්
