      A professional car thief is going to check that OBD port.

      A cheating wife/husband and their lover might check for it, especially if it is visible under the dash

    My son just turned 16 and I’m looking for a GPS tracker to watch his driving habits and to keep an eye on his speed, this was a great video and I’ll be looking into it. Thank you and be safe on duty

    I live in California wouldn't theives think to look at the port ?? since that's how company vans usually have their vans tracked thru the port i used to drive a company van and it had one with what i assume was plugged into the port i was always curious but never tried to unplug it or touch it but it seemed to have been bolted / welded down in the kinda metal casing that i assume wouldn't allow you to unplug it .. looked bulky and weird also made a small but noticeable beep upon hitting the ignition . Do these give off a noticeable sound ?

      I get what you’re saying. Most people steal cars because of opportunity. If it’s a pro or doesn’t matter really that you have which is why people will toss an AirTag as a backup. No sound that I’ve heard

    Hello Sir, Can I have more than one device under the same subscription or it’s an a additional fee?

      Yes. It’s the fleet app so you can have as many as you want. That’s why for me it’s nice for the family

    Question can any other phone detect this obd device ? For example. Like the air tags. Multiple iPhones can see if there is a AirTag near by.

      @allthingsrandom8137  7 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a great question. As far as I know, it’s no. Once it’s paired into your app, it’s through cellular service, so it’s like a cell phone to a cell phone

      It does

      NOPE! For some reason they can't power it from the OB Whatever port when the vehicle is not powered up. The rechargeable battery units might make more sense if one could plug them into a charger and 'mount' them in the glove box & charge them. These things seem to work while mounted to the underside of the vehicle so I would think they should work if mounted in the trunk with the charger powered by the brake light circuit, perhaps. That way, one needed worry about the battery going 'dead.'

    Another question. I’m tracking my vehicle. But won’t update. Do I need to stay on the app in order for me to keep updated ? Like I was at a location. Dropping off my kids. Got off the app. Parked my car at work. Just went back on the app now 5 hours later. And it shows last seen at my kids school lol

      @allthingsrandom8137  7 месяцев назад +1

      No, it should automatically update. I’d see if the app has an issue. Maybe delete it and redownload. But it’s automatic

    Will it keep track of and record where the car has been throughout the day? Or just live feedback?

  • @Buckdog37

    I timed how long it took to actually send the location to your phone, you say it pings every 30 seconds, but your phone is updating way after that. The second ping was like 1 minute, 6 seconds. You say you're paying for 30 sec? I get it though, peace of mind. It's gonna be good enough for what you need

      It may be the editing. I’ve used it for over a year now and haven’t had an issue. It’s great because I can monitor the kiddos driving habits.

    TO clarify my needs, With cops becoming more dishonest liars, I need an OBD I can plug in and if/when the need arrises, (example, a lying U.S. KGB, (a.k.a. "cop") tickets me for 90 MPH when I was doing the legal limit, I want to be able to print out the day/hour/location to take to court, beat the ticket and sue the cop/dept/city for attempted theft under color of law and possibly get the liar fired. I need to know if there are companies which will grant you an account with a small monthly fee OR one which will plug to a smart phone/computer. The print outs must have a day/date/location stamp.

    No point of having OBD GPS Tracker when car thief can find it in 10 sec and throw it out the window. Stupid idea
