The dirt is not what made your hair grow. Not touching it for an extended period of time promotes growth. Dirty scalp cliffs your pores and prevents new strands from coming through which can prevent thickening of the hair. Long hair is great but not at the expense of healthy hygiene.
Dirt doesn’t help your hair grow, that’s you leaving your hair alone. Dirt will clog your pores and prevent new strands from pushing through. Keep your scalp clean.
Ok so I do this and keep my hair braided every 3-4 months and my hair grows at least two inches a month. Tips are: clip your ends before you start this and everytime they come out the braids. Her hair should not have looked like that. I put treatments like scalp treatments in my hair everyday. Nothing specific just anything from Amazon that says growth and I switch it every month. Never the same treatment back to back. I keep my hair moisturized with oil water and she’s butter. I wash and deep condition my braids 1-2 times a month. I do scalp massages everyday. I wear glueless wigs/crochet braids/crochet hair. Wear what’s easy. You do this consistently and there is no reason why your hair shouldn’t be down your back
I just took out a 4 month cocoon braiding pattern out my head and my hair grew 3 inches but I never had my hair in like that for that long longest would be 2 months
If you don't use amino acids, you should absolutely! I'm a bio student (pre med) and I am obsessed with botanical and the internal tract system. BCAA would be perfect as most contain 18-22 amino acids, but If you're interested I recommend Cysteine, Arginine and Methionine. The reason MSM crystals were so popular was because of the sulfur which is found in cysteine which is crucial for hair growth, Rice water again cysteine and methionine, Chebe powder too.
I leave my cornrows in from a range of 6-12 weeks, but I wash with shampoo diluted with shampoo Ina squeeze bottle every 2 weeks and the use braid spray ir a spray leave in like Oyin Handmade Greg Juice and seal with my olive oil, avocado, jojoba oil mix. If this works for you, good deal though.
Jesus that shedding is crazy girl! Start using the aphogee keratin and Green tea reconstructor ASAP !!! Just spray it on ur braids and go! It works magic !
I hv a 5 month sew in that needs to come down. I do wash mine every couple weeks. But it still gonna look like yours when the beautician takes it down. ❤️❤️👍🏾
Protein treatment and serums builds strong hair strands and prevents lots of shedding. Keep strands/ends moisturized while in the braids, water and a light leave in conditioner does well. For scalp care do msm & aloe mix and seal scalp with light or heavy oil(depends on how long you keep braids end). Never apply just oil to the scalp or strands of hair because you’re just sealing in dryness. And of course what you eat and trims
