I was a kid during the disco era and HATED everything to do with it, including the Bee Gees. I'm 48 now, and I've finally come to appreciate their talents.
I loved the disco era and especially the Bee Gees. (I'm ten years older than you), but I never stopped loving rock. I never understood why we were expected to choose. Hell the Stones spent their Friday nights at Studio 54 every week (according to Andy Warhol diaries and pics I saw in People mag every week back then!). David Bowie, Rod Stewart Steven Tyler and so many more...they were all dancing to disco at Studio 54.
The first 70 seconds or so, which were played at the end of the documentary, really stood out for me. I absolutely love how Barry has such command over the moment and then at around :30 Robin steps in and takes over so powerfully. It reminded me of Olympians handing off the baton during a track relay. Absolutely smooth and perfect. So sad this amazing group of men are gone save for Barry.

I just finished watching the Bee Gee's documentary finally! It was very moving. It was the music of my time. I was much younger then, 64 now. I had no idea they wrote so much music for other artists. It's so sad that Barry is left alone without his 3 brothers. Truly the most iconic voices in music.
