I had a cat that was jealous of fish (temporarily staying as my dad found them left in a cart at his work), I found a kitten in the yard and once Rascal found out that he wasn't going to lose his spot he started to nurture the kitten and they were buds. When Nipper died suddenly at 2 years, Barney (who looked almost identical to him) was rehomed to us and became best buds with Rascal. My dad later asked me if I wanted a 3rd cat. Blackie was a runt and Rascal laid by the basket we kept him in to keep him warm, and raised him with Barney.
Congrats to you for saving what looks like an abused Kangal.

1:06 that's not matted fur. That's shedding his coat. Some dogs get their coat hand plucked (like she is doing) rather than having it brushed out.

It's because she's a very responsible pet owner. He needs time so it's not only for the other pets safety it's his too. She probably will let him be without the muzzle later but remember a dog with muzzle doesn't need to be a dangerous dog just insecure. Some dog owner let their dogs wear muzzle as their dogs protection. For example what would happen if a chihuahua attacked a pit bull and the pit bull responded? We all know who's going to be blamed.
