Thank ❤ you so much for sharing this information. Am a boomer who remember them in the 70’s but then went off in different muscial explorations over the decades. Was fortunate to have heard the band live late 90’s in Seattle’s Summer Nights at The Pier was so magical (but was sadly not with Maurice). Now at 73, I find I need goodly doses of Earth, Wind & Fire to keep my spirits up … so it’s wonderful to know that when I think of the band title, I am actually honoring Maurice. And because I don’t believe we die and there is no time & space … he is always just right there beside me with all of his love. There is no separation. I grew up in a very traumatic environment where I could never believe in myself, in fact hated myself and having been born a female was so shameful where suicide had been a very attractive option for many decades (my parents both suicided out and I am white). While I have done many decades of inner healing work, aging is not easy … so am finding lots of solice in their music and learning about Maurice now all makes so much sense. He has left a timeless legacy for many of us especially who have had a really horrible time in this dimension of prison planet of Babylonian hell, not wanting to be here. Anyways, I first started researching about Verdine and found such an amazing man who thankfully found a perfect long term partner … despite all of his being on the road most of the time. (I saw their renewing of vows video that is so beautiful and full of so much loving support) My research will continue because I love this band so much and how it helps to make me feel on those bad days … it lifts one’s heart & spirit. Again thank 🌺 you for this video about Maurice 🌈✨✨✨✨

His desire to "uplift the planet" & "serve humanity with the gift of music" as he would say it, is such a noble & respectful pursuit. I'm SO grateful to have lived during the era of EWF's & his own heyday & as well to see this glorious & grand musical & spiritual ethos inspire newer generations. FOREVERMORE honors & respect to you, beloved Maestro Maurice. I miss you SO much & thank you, honored sir for the gift you ARE & for that which you so freely & generously shared w/all of us. I am currently reading the book. Earth, Wind and Fire is my all time favorite group. Maurice White is one of those few people that leave an impression on the lives of others.

I can remember being a youngster in 1974 getting a glimpse of the Open Our Eyes LP. Earth Wind & Fire I knew then they were something special. All those years I followed them they never disappointed, rest in peace Maurice White you may be imitated but never duplicated You're The One and Only.

Wonderful synopsis of his autobiography. I enjoyed reading his life story immensely. Maurice was truly a genius whose hard work, determination and visionary revelations helped him to create one of the greatest band's on the planet. Maurice or as he was affectionately known as "Reece" will never be forgotten and will always remain in our hearts.

Thank you for this informative mini-bio. Very clear, straightforward, and factual. Maurice was a musical genius not only for EWF, but also for producing so many other artists. As a performer he was an amazing stage presence. As a musician he was versatile and creative. As a composer, producer, arranger, songwriter, he was original and groundbreaking. Hats off to Quincy Jones and Sly Stone, but Maurice White deserves equal recognition.

I loved them when I was in high school, lucky enough to see them in Philadelphia. It's only recently----that I'm well into adulthood---that I deep down get that Maurice White was a true blue icon. So happy he blessed the Earth. He's a one and only.

Maurice White was a musical genius. I was fortunate enough to see Earth Wind and Fire in concert 3 times. I have every recording they ever made. My favorite album is "Faces". There is no sound like the transcendent music of Earth, Wind, and Fire.
I'm gonna listen to that particular album today while I'm at work🥰
