I think the original did it better by having her curiosity and spirit be what connects them. He thought she was pretty at first and just wanted to give her a tour, then they spent the day doing what she wanted together. Dancing, seeing the horses, the puppets. When they survived the jump and the ride calmed down, he even felt more comfortable around her to lean back and let her keep driving.

At the end of the day, it’s a movie for children; and I have to be honest, I didn’t make that connection when I was a child. I thought the dad gave in at the end because he realized his daughter was miserable. It never occurred to me that the moment Eric saved Ariel was supposed to help her dad realize humans aren’t that bad. I just thought he’d learned to trust his daughter’s judgment and let her make her own way.

Yesssss!!! So happy to see this XD I ended up loving the live action version way more than I expected!!! (The Little Mermaid was one of my favorites growing up) I liked almost all the tweaks, additions, etc. I wish they'd kept the aspect showing the other merfolk get free of Ursula at the end, but otherwise really liked everything. LOVED the fleshed out Ariel-Eric dynamic, and I really liked Eric's song!!! I'm also glad you enjoyed Scuttlebutt - I know it's gotten a fair amount of hate, but I thought it was really fun too! XD I get why people feel some way about Flounder, but I actually don't mind how he looks. I think there's something to be said for kind of learning how to empathize more with animals in movies when they look more like animals instead of being altered to seem more cartoonish or emote in a more human centric way, if that makes sense. Was so fun overall watching this reaction!! XD
The original movie came out when I was seven. I got a huge crush on Sebastian because of his accent and singing. I don't know if Ursula took her memory in the original story, but no they didn't do that in the 1989 movie.

I think the only thing that bothers me is that Eric doesnt steer the ship that ends Ursula. Arile saved Eric from drowning, Eric saves her from Ursula- it felt complete and in a way, showed Trition that humans arent that bad if given the chance
for me i think its better that ariel was the one to end ursula because it was her problem at the start and she be the one to end it.
@@yreva9882 I guess? I don't really feel the same way but I can see what you mean.
it’s important for girls/women to save themselves sometimes 🩷
At the end of the day, it’s a movie for children; and I have to be honest, I didn’t make that connection when I was a child. I thought the dad gave in at the end because he realized his daughter was miserable. It never occurred to me that the moment Eric saved Ariel was supposed to help her dad realize humans aren’t that bad. I just thought he’d learned to trust his daughter’s judgment and let her make her own way.
@@notamberpbruh but not every single time in a movie like cmon
14:52 I was so giggling and kicking, and hitting my siblings shoulder when we watched this.😂
I love your reaction to live action Disney little mermaid. This so very amazing.
Your reaction when you saw flounder 😭
Ariels sisters: Tameka, Yu, Clara, Indria, Mail, other people.
THANK GOD i'm not the only one who liked Scuttlebut
(I still waiting for the aladdin one)
It's not the live action version, it's THEEEEEEE live action version!
prince eric defense squad let’s gooooo ✨
Omg Iv been waiting for this reaction 🤣🤣 Prince Eric Definitely earned his flowers for me in this live action and tbh the whole movie has me. Like I saw beauty & the beast like 12 time in theaters no cap 👏 this one I only got 5 cuz they don’t have them running more than 6 weeks now 😑. Fav Part was her coming up OUT THAT WATER TO THE FIREWORKS & seeing Prince Ericon the ship & THE FALL FROM THE CASTLE 🏰 👏🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 as a huge ass fan of LoTR that fall is up there. But they get a A- only b/c they Cut The Crab Song, that was always my favorite part of the animated version and not adding that really shook me in theaters the first time, and Ursula missing a song 😑 Anyway I rambled and I love ur channel 👏😎 thank u for ur reactions they make me crack up 🤣🫡
A lot of ppl hate that song with scuttle but I liked it too😂 like maybe it was a bit long but it had me dancing
I loved the live action Little Mermaid I also loved that Triton and Ersala where sibilings
This movie is so underrated but not nearly as good as the original. Also i can’t wait for descendants 2 and 3
It’s the flounder talk at the end for me 🤣🤣🤣
You should review and learn about the unfinished animated film "The Thief and The Cobbler: Recobbled cut Mark 4". Such a (unfinished) masterpiece of a film, it's available for free on RUclips in its original version
Not you singing "water" at the start, girl, I love that song too.
I STILL WANT AVATAR
i think she did react to it ...
She already did right?
maybe be a bit more respectful? you already asked her if she was going to watch the second movie and she said she MIGHT, but you keep asking/demanding it…. maybe just let it go.
GIVE US WHAT WE WANT
@@Nenestarz oh ya sorry kinda got carried away lol
U singing water is just perfect 😭❤
I really enjoyed this remake. I'm watching the 1989 one right now.
That's my husband right there both versions 😂
Prince Eric is so babygorl ‼️‼️‼️
XD
erik’s song made it onto my most listened to of the last year… 😅
The original movie came out when I was seven.
I got a huge crush on Sebastian because of his accent and singing.
I don't know if Ursula took her memory in the original story, but no they didn't do that in the 1989 movie.
hii lakia !! im a big fan , I have been about a year now and I💮 really think that you would really enjoy the show derry girls . it's really fun and a reaction of it would be so fun ! anyways great video as always 💖💖

As a South African 🇿🇦 it made me so happy to hear you singing water by tyla
I’m so happy you did this reaction I rather see a black woman uplift another black woman than a old white man *coughs* nostalgia critic talk down on this movie. Plus you rightbprince Eric deserves to be him

I think you should do a movie reaction to elemental. Such an amazing movie.
6:04 I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks it looks weird when she dies that 💀
