@@arwogue I don't think they do "roughing it" camping. It was funny that they got too hot in their "hot tent" camping trip. Glamping is very much their style of camping. @@LumnahAcres No building with a RV! Al, I'm worried about shear on your platform. Screws aren't structural for carrying weight. Carriage bolts are much better or put the joists on top of the posts and then you can sister them! The sand can wash away too so I think the gravel you started out with is perhaps better? Just a couple of worries. I love watching you build! Your property development is so fun to watch!
Noever thought id say this, but MORE building!! I have watched avidly ever since you built the outdoor kitchen, but I am finally bored with building! I would love to see a video with the animals routine; feeding chickens, the pigs, milking the cow.
Hello everyone, from David in Omaha, NE, USA. I sure love the plans for the Homestead. Al & Gina, you have thought out alot of scenarios and efficiency situations to come up with a great plan! I can hardly wait to see it unfold! Having Azalea & Cookie sure makes the Homestead look more complete. I hope to see some of those big round bales of hay in a year or two. 👍 Blessings!
I know you get excited to build something new and of course we also are excited as your off grid property grows, but aren't you forgetting about that shipping container you built, slash tool shed? Why not transport it to the new camping site, and with some prepping of the area you are ready to use it! You could use the new pressure treated lumber for an outdoor kitchen and or screenhouse to enjoy the environment! Just my thought since you already have it and could immediately put it to good use. Love your channel.

He kept putting more stuff up there. My sister told him to put straps up because the shear was going to make it fall. He didn't listen. It fell on top of the MG he was restoring. I like your method better for strength! I'm sure they won't load up the hot tent as much as he loaded up his mezzanine section but if Al had at least notched into the wood a little I would feel better. Have a great rest of your week!
@@StoneKathryn it will be blown away in the next high wind with no holdowns. It will be more than a cabin it will be 5***** They didn`t rough it when they went camping in the tent some time back.
@@arwogue I don't think they do "roughing it" camping. It was funny that they got too hot in their "hot tent" camping trip. Glamping is very much their style of camping. I loved hiking into the state park with just a backpack and sleeping bag to camp with when I was a child. Different strokes for different folks!
@@StoneKathryn Definitely!
@@StoneKathryn yes notching or half laps would be a good alternative
Excellent background music, this area is gorgeous.❤❤❤❤
What happened to the container house?
It still gets used
@@LumnahAcres maybe you should buy a camper and just pull it around to different locations for campouts?
@@ky.gambler5281 that doesn’t sound like as much fun
@@LumnahAcres No building with a RV! Al, I'm worried about shear on your platform. Screws aren't structural for carrying weight. Carriage bolts are much better or put the joists on top of the posts and then you can sister them! The sand can wash away too so I think the gravel you started out with is perhaps better? Just a couple of worries. I love watching you build! Your property development is so fun to watch!
That is what we say clamping. It looking really good. Waiting for round two. Stay and healthy Greetings from Netherland
Here in the USA it's called "glamping" for glamorous camping! Have a great rest of your week!
Noever thought id say this, but MORE building!! I have watched avidly ever since you built the outdoor kitchen, but I am finally bored with building! I would love to see a video with the animals routine; feeding chickens, the pigs, milking the cow.
How fun is that......enjoy the project...😊
Hello everyone, from David in Omaha, NE, USA. I sure love the plans for the Homestead. Al & Gina, you have thought out alot of scenarios and efficiency situations to come up with a great plan! I can hardly wait to see it unfold! Having Azalea & Cookie sure makes the Homestead look more complete. I hope to see some of those big round bales of hay in a year or two. 👍 Blessings!
Good morning David😊
Good morning David! 🤩🐶👍🏾
Gooooood Morning David. Some big round bales would be nice
Good morning Forrest!
Howdy David - Thank you and blessings to you and yours as well!
Excited to see when it's done
I know you get excited to build something new and of course we also are excited as your off grid property grows, but aren't you forgetting about that shipping container you built, slash tool shed? Why not transport it to the new camping site, and with some prepping of the area you are ready to use it! You could use the new pressure treated lumber for an outdoor kitchen and or screenhouse to enjoy the environment! Just my thought since you already have it and could immediately put it to good use. Love your channel.
Got to create more new material for the you tube channel!
I was thinking the same thing, I don't think they ever use it, also that "outhouse " thing with the solar panels could be sat up there too
@gonesideways6621 it's a "filler" project for the yt algorithm
RUclips has been good to them the money is flowing abundant.
@tomfl58 not like a real "homestead" really, more like a hobby farm. Not as bad as some though, "life uncontained" has over 1m subs and do absolutely nothing but tinker around with tin cans.
It was nice to see your daughter on the clip. Haven’t seen her in quite awiley
Olivia has been in several recent videos.
