Go to Vegas in August and then you will be surprised at how easy it is to get along without humidity heat is not so bad, I lived there for 35 years and enjoyed it a great deal it is not the heat it is the humidity that is the culpret.
Have you thought about putting a floor drain in? If you bring equipment in to work on and it covered in snow you need a way to get the melted snow out. Just a thought. Looking good!
Great idea Clarence!! And it’s not like they have a shortage of big rocks! Lol Goats have SO MUCH FUN climbing the rocks!! Put ‘em to good use and kick back and enjoy their fun!
Good morning from the coastal south where the heat is on and the humidity is ramping up. No need to take a shower just walk outside. But I wouldn't trade it for cold weather, I am a southerner to the core. I do love your property and all the things you do there, can't wait for the next episode...love yall
TERRIFIC job, guys! As I was watching you "tweak" the form boards and getting "close," it reminded me of a phrase my oral surgeon told me this past week as I had some significant surgery performed. He talked about the "LAR effect" -- "Looks About Right" -- ha! So, when you got things "close," you achieved the LAR effect! Praying for a problem-free process as you move forward with this important structure, Al (and consultant Gina)!!
Al, what a beautiful opening! I know you have “mountains” in the distance, but Mt. Rainier rising in the morning mist is also quite a site. Regardless, I pray every blessing to come true. Don’t forget the source who healed Gina. That source is still there. I believe that the risen Lord is our source. ATB

Electric fencing does not stop bears, they just go through it. Bear fencing has to be over 8 feet tall and heavy duty. A family friend raised bears as pets as fell for the circus in Oklahoma, and another friend who lives in Alaska has bears raiding her garden and she said no electric fence has ever stopped a bear from getting into her garden. She said the only thing that works is bear repellent, applied daily and nightly. Don’t put false hope in the electric fencing netting you are using.
@raymondheckard234 , It may be that a bear's fur is so thick that it does not even receive a shock. You need to touch an electric fence with bare skin ( no pun intended ) AND be grounded at the same time for an electric fence to work. Electric fences work well with cattle because they will usually touch a fence with their noses and they are grounded.
Mor,ning from Emporium Pennsylvania I don't know were you got all your knowledge Al but you are super smart Enjoy your blessed day with your family and animals
Excellent job with the work shop area Al and Gina 🐻 don’t care about anything but what they want they will get no matter what the situation and never get between mom and her cubs mom will tear you apart ❤😊😮
Is the barn a Jamaica cabins pre cut with hardware. Is Ken going to help frame again. Good luck getting the barn built before snow. The grading is majestic.
I had bears climbing on my chicken coop when I lived in N. Ga mountains and I loved them. My coop run was 4x4's with heavy woven wire. I had them daily. I miss them.
Happy Canada 🇨🇦 Day to all the Canadians watching. Thanks for the video Al and Gina. Al really liked your podcast yesterday with the three of you. Watching and learning Al.
Kudos for doing as much as you can and not having to pay the profesionals. Be thankful for the heat there. The heat here in Texas is brutal. Of course I couldn't survive the cold winters there!
Good Morning Lumnah Family and friends! Hey Al, I saw the podcast you did with Jason from Sow the land, and Ben from The Hollar Homestead, very cool. Looking forward to more collaborations with the three of y'all in the future. As always love what you're doing, take care and God Bless!
Hi Al & Gina. That was a fair amount of time but as you say if it is not set correct at the start you end up with uneven building. The animals are looking well . Take care happy family.
Good Morning Lumnah family. 2 and one half gallons of mike is good. Goats looking good. I didn't see those sleepy piggies. Now back to the build. Thanks for sharing with us. Love the videos guys. Have a great Week end.
I agree you need more stakes, better to many than not enough, and then bank up the outside perimeter with the sand to help the boards stay in place, you don't want those boards to bulge outwards when you pour the concrete, getting this right is most important as its going to be quite a big pour.
Thanks, Al & Gina you have your mud season , we have sweat season where everyone is damp that's OK we worry about the people who are outside and not sweating. Central California watching

I love the information and photos you’re getting from the trail cameras. I have to wonder if the fish are drawing the bears in for a good meal. I’m going to have to research whether the bears in your area are herbivores or omnivores.
@shirleyannconfer9651 @LumnahAcres My first thought is they are looking for a cool drink of water. Second thought is a fish dinner. If the bears are eating some fish Al and Gina will see fish carcases around and near the pond. I am afraid of bears too but we must learn to live with nature. If bears are stopped from coming around the pond they could start coming closer to the farm animals for dinner or the house. It's maybe best to share the ponds 🤔🤷
Us southerners are wondering how y'all do it. We were in the 90's when you were still getting snow. It seems that you only have a month or two of summer at the most. We just couldn't handle that. Heck, Gina had a winter vest on a week ago. The trick to handling the heat is cotton tank tops and cotton shorts. Make them loose so you can feel a little free from the clothes y'all are doing a great on the new homestead. Keep it up!!

Great idea! That would be a problem. He wouldn't want a huge puddle in his workshop. Have a great 4th of July weekend!
Unless he planned to slope the entire floor to the outside like the builder of our house did. He built race cars in the basement!
Al, I appreciate your sense of humor! Thanks for bringing a bit of joy to my Dad.
You can also put a few big rocks in the goat yard. It will help there hoof’s keeping them trimmed. Maybe a rock mountain, fun to watch them climbing.

Do they make "Bear Suits" for Gina? Pretty hot!
Correct three young boys were killed by bears that lived where we did.

I live in NS. We have Black bears. A good hot fence will send them howling away. 🐻
@@jimputnam2044 ,
I will presume that the bears are touching the fence with their nose first. A fur covered paw would not make a completed curcuit
