I can see by the welding that your new to this game. No worries. You’ve got a great attitude and your video skills are very natural. I liked the way you started by just walking with the camera and talking to your audience ( good presence). Your right about the different trades being similar. “Blue collar “ guys (especially owning a home) have to do it all (carp, plumbing, painting, the works). I’m subscribing to see how far you take this. Onward Son!
Hey everyone, one thing I would consider adding also…a small table table top made of clean steel so if you want to do a small project right on the cart you can. Thanks for the feedback!
Really well done! At first I thought 1/4” steel was crazy…but as you said, the HF brand carts are unstable thin sheet metal. Yeah, you built a tank by using that 1/4”, I like it!!!
Great work! Love your comments. Will include some suggestions when I build mine. One improvement tho, make it a bit wider as it looks like it would topple over sideways easily, especially with small diameter wheels.
" this is ..stronger than that(harbor freight cart) " ...nope not even , yours is practically indestructible compared to the HR carts . Matter fact im gonna go with some heavier gauge material myself now . Only idea i could give you is possibly to replace the plastic case with one you fabricated yourself with some type of either expanded metal or wire mesh that you could also add dividers within incase you think they may be useful or needed . Anyhow cool vid 👍
I really enjoyed your video and your build. Would agree with one of the other commenters that I’d like an overall view, but a good video, thank you. As you say, we ‘collect’ these videos looking for ideas and answers. Oh, and you’re not old, nor yet ‘getting old’… I’m 77 and still crawling round in the garage with two welders, two lathes and two motorcycles. Plus all the rest that goes with them. Keep up the good work. And your assistant needs more welding practice! Les in UK 🇬🇧
1k views! Let’s go Mayo! I think maybe the takeaway is that: even though you make quality videos in everything you do, you’ve gotta pander to a subculture to get the views. I’m gonna watch every one of them no matter what!
Just a bit of constructive criticism. A broader view of the finished project with everything on it would be nice. The closeups really don't show it off very well. Maybe stand a few feet away and walk around.
Hey Mayo, I'm loving your DIY projects and video editing skills. Wanna try out Arccaptain's welding machine and give us a master review? It'll be lit 🔥
Hey there:) I have a work bench build made out 115kv Buss that would certainly put it through its paces. Steel and aluminum so I would need the spool gun for it as well. I’d love to review it. Test it out for all those DIYers looking for an affordable machine.
sorry to be critical Mayo. Your steel is too big for a welding cart. Makes cart too heavy and just makes job harder. No need to respond but next cart better steel eh?
Hey you’re right I couldn’t agree more, it was material on hand, watch my intro for what I would use if I was purchasing steel and see if you agree:) thanks!

Looks like welding videos are the most popular!

I’m partial to your camp builds
Thanks pal. They’re a lot of fun to make so I’ll just keep pushing to 100 videos 🎉

8 inch inflatable tires fill them with fix a flat or expanding foam
