Thank You Lee, wish you’ll enjoy your new rig for years to come! 💛💛
Marco & Markbass family
I honestly love the MarkBass yellow Jazz-style basses you released, too. Amazing instrument at that price point!
Struggling to understand why people in the comments aren't blown away by Lee's incredible bass work 😂. Great player!
Well, instead of playing a bass in the upper/higher note areas, how about play a bass in the lower octave areas. I find it unfathomable as to why a large portion of bass demonstrations are focused on the upper higher notes. It’s a bass, dudes.
And thanks to Cici too 🤘
Lee seems like the nicest most pleasant dude, and he's a super great player. Enjoy your rig, bro. And I just can't help but love Cici.
Cici absolutely kills it, just awesome! 😎
Love these two, great chemistry, and both great bassists. ❤
I like this guy, he's really enthusiastic and I hope he has years of pleasure from New Amp Day.
Really disappointed you didn't mic the cabs, we're missing out on half the fun! Especially after talking about their tone and what they add.
This always makes me want to buy a bass.
I never actually find that these product reviews to be scam. I bought my Fender rumble amp because their reviews are detailed, spot on, and the most important thing, they did almost no cut on these reviews, and always take their time to explore what the products can do. They're truly my favourite
I like big cabs and I cannot lie
Love seeing Lee so excited for his new toys.😆
I want this guy to make gear videos… but also read to pre-schoolers at story time. 😁
Thank you for doing this video! I feel like there aren’t many Markbass reviews. I’ve finally decided to upgrade and started purchasing Markbass gear myself. Currently have the 4x10 cab. 15 will be coming next week.
Should have mic'd up the cabs so we could hear them.
I just watched the GK vs Mark Bass video the other day. I can see where Lee got the desire to get the Mark Bass, as it sounded more his style.
It just doesn't sound like Cici's groove. She still makes it sound good, but Cici just sounds more like Cici on her Ashdown ABM. My main amps are Ashdown too and I too like more Blues/Rock styles like Cici plays in her band. I haven't reached the Ambient/Prog styles as Cici does in her solo music, but that should come in time with much more practice.
Congrats, Lee! That's one helluva rig! I had bought a Little Mark II second hand as a backup to my Euphonic Audio iAmp 800...and I like the sound of it so much, the Little Mark II is still my main amp after like 7 or 8 years! It works fantastic with my electric basses, upright basses and synth bass!
Most upright pickups will have a 1/4 output (but may need a preamp to match the pickup's impedance with the impedance of the amp input), but it's great that the Little Mark Tube 800 has a 1/4" and XLR combo jack, which will let you plug in a mic (to mic up an upright), and the Little Mark Tube 800 (and Little Mark Tube) both have a switch to supply Phantom Power (+48V) to a condenser mic!
Definitely should have Cici on more, cool perspective and counterpoint to Lee!
I'm a Mesa Boogie guy (Subway setup currently) but I like the Mark stuff also. My band's bassist plays Mark and I like the sounds he can get
That setup definitely looks awesome and sounds great as well, I can tell he’s gonna have fun playing that live
17:40 Not sure what Cici's first "noodle" was, but I could listen to it all day ❤
One great amp and two great bass players...👍🏼
we have a bass section too. congrats on your Markbass. happy playing.
Congrats man. It's pretty awesome
Congrats on new gear!
Purchased my Sire V8 from you last year, Right now I have a Hartke HD410 cab and LX8500 amp, Think Im gonna have to order THAT stack from you guys next. Looks and sounds good Lee
Have to agree with Cici on 15 inch speakers. For extra oomph, I pair up my Rumble 200 with a GK MBE 1x15 cab (Celestion and Fender grill cloth covering the metal grill). Perfect fit, and the two 15s suit my P bass with flats just great.
I wish they used the room mics to hear the cabs
Looks great Lee !
Thanks guys, great demo ! Sounds excellent, congrats on the new rig Lee ! Am l jealous ? Noooooo ... well er actually ...
I've been wanting a rig like this for a long time. I guess it's time to start budgeting one...
Mind. Blown. Thank you! 😮
I have been running the tube 800 for a long time now. Looooooooooooooove that amp. So much power on tap. I have the older version of the 410 and 115. That combo is an absolute earth shaker!!
Congrats on the new 'Barn Conversion Buster'. That should do the job nicely.
I tried that rig with the corvette at rehearsal, that sounds amazing!
Looks amazing ❤
Jelous of how light it looks.
My old Marshall has a channel blend for it's solid state and tube channels works wonders 👍
Hope this will also last you 20+ years.
Excellent...haven't played bass live for over thirty years but that is a great looking and sounding rig! Jealous!
Awesome content 🎸😍🤘🏻
WOuld love to see you two tackle a real old school rig. 1950's Precision into a Fender Bassman for example?
I started in 2, 15s, Bag End. Then when t to 2, 12s Epifani600 wat.. it's enough for me even with the double bass. I split the speakers stage left and right or do a cross stack like an X. These Markbass speakers and amps sound really good. Always save your back.
That is a fantastic looking rig, hope you enjoy it!
That being said though, didn't we bust the '10s for highs and 15s for lows' thing about 60 years ago?
I got a Tube 800 thinking it would be my 'dream head', but I just couldn't get along with it. The biggest issue, for me, was the 'high-mids' are way low at 800Hz, and the 'high' is 10kHz. That leaves nothing from 1kHz to 8kHz, which is exactly where I like a little bit of a boost for some 'sparkle'. Ultimately, any tone I tried to dial in sounded 'sterile' somehow. That and I never could really tell much difference between the 'solid state' and 'tube' section. I looked in there and it's just got a dinky little tube the size of a pencil tip eraser. I sold it and got a Vintage D2, which sounds a LOT better with a parametric EQ and a full-sized tube in the preamp. The current Vintage 58r also has a better (IMO) 'high-mid' EQ point at 2.2kHz, which is dang near perfect!
I have the single 12" combo and I think it weighs about the same as one of those - that's wild. They sound amazing. I run mine with everything pretty much as 12 noon - flat.
UNLEASH HELL CC, nice one guys enjoyed the vid.
thanks guys.
I bought a Tube800 head when they first came out. Think it was about 15 years later the disappointment came when it gave up the ghost. Honestly I’d buy another in a heartbeat if I was still gigging
Thanks Guys!!!💛🖤💛🖤
The whole rig is lighter than an SVT Tube Head only.
My car is lighter than a SVT head…
That 410 is almost 1/3 the weight of my first 410 🤣
That’ll feel like a bag of crisps by comparison on a flight of stares!
I've got a Little Marcus 1000 head, an MB58R 4x10 Pure and an MB58R 2x12 Pure cab - tone for absolute days and days. Enjoy the new rig Lee!
Looks amazing … but my man
MIC THE CABS 😑
It’s an amp and cab unboxing. It’s always so hard to find good cab reviews online and let’s be honest due to size it’s really hard to find a shop with a wide range of bass cabs on the floor to test.
26:30 the ABM series Ashdowns had the the knob for tube/solid state blend
What Sire bass is that? Looks incredible!
800 watts.. just a little baby..😮😮😮
I wonder what the cabs sound like
It’s been forever since I had to have any type of amp… almost jealous. But our sound guy kill me if I ever did that, I’ll have to stick with the sansamp.
Lov Cici, thank for having her back
What do you think of the lightweight cabs sounds good to me but I have heard they do not go the lowest or deepest sounding if you will.
I am not saying this is true or not what is your take on the cabs ..
Not sure who's told you that, I have a very similar setup to Lees in the video and I'm on my low B string a lot. These cabs have no problems shaking stages apart.
That's from room mics? 😮 Update - no it's DI
Red Giant Red Giant Red Giant YeahYeah🤘
Gottaaa mic the cabs in thes bass vids guys... Missing the sound of a crucial part of the product.
I don't need a new bass rig, but damn if this video doesn't trigger GAS!
thats a good bit of kit, but what a modern bass amp really needs is a volume control that is operated by the rest of the band and NOT the bassist. i've never met a bass player who didnt keep upping their volume during a set cos they 'cant hear themelves properly'.
Speaking as a professional bassist, you need higher-quality colleagues. Alternatively, in the case that you feel that I am incorrect, stfu.
That is as deep as Ibanez will ever sound 🤣
I am not a fan of running mixed cabs. I like to run either two 4x10 or two 1x15. 2x15 being my favorite cab ever
Which Marcus Miller model is this ?
Bassists always gotta be over compensating... 🤭 jkjk don't drag me pls 😂
Mark Bass gear would be nice-looking without all the orange and the obnoxious logo. :^)
Looks cool but i guarantee that based on the sound literally no one in the audience would ever be able to tell you got a new bass amp. Guitar amps are unique and different, bass amps are the fender bassman then every other bass amp ive ever played sounds exactly the same.
Have to disagree, I’ve played a ton of amps, including this exact one, it sounds very different. Think oh how many different bass tones there are, is that all in the pickups or wood or something? SVTs sound a lot different to bassmans, as do old vox amps, as do mesas, and especially my orange sounds like absolutely nothing else. They all sound like bass, but back to back the differences are there, if not stupidly substantial in most cases
I mean, you can definitely tell. But regardless, he literally says in the video that the point is to upgrade to a bigger rig for bigger gigs, not a new tone.
