Top boy had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Wow!. It also shows me how blessed I am to have not grown up in that environment because that is really tough. To think people have to live like that is heartbreaking. It’s a horrible life. After watching it, it’s made me complain less about bad things going on in my life and for that I’m grateful. A real humbling eye opener.
The new top boy seasons are so unrealistic and dramatised, but the original season 1 and 2 summerhouse are incredibly accurate to real life

@@l1zzz892 nah first season of the new ting was actually good… it’s season 3 I believe … yes that was good for sure can’t deny that, summerhouse was better I agree but then season 3 completes summerhouse … the brand new season that just came out (4) is trash. Main storyline was some crazy ex boyfriend and they kill off main characters with zero explanation or context, you can tell the drake and future influence creeped in when they made it an action movie …

After watching TopBoy you can't help but speak in a British accent for 2 or 3 days. I've been running around calling my friends and family "bruv" and "wastemen" and ending every sentence with "in'it" and "in a bit".😀

Kano is a brilliant actor. I came into top boy really late like 2 weeks ago! However I really loved the writing it's not your typical gang glory film. There are human stories behind it. I m proud of all the actors but for me Kano just stands out, he's ability to portray his emotions is impeccable really love the acting love Ashley to hevis a real good brother just keeping his head down and doing his ting man! Well done all can't wait watch Season 2 boom!
You sure you are on the right season Sassy? Netflix 'Season 1' is actually season 3 - Season's one and two were originally released as two mini - series on Channel 4 between 2011 and 2013 and are now available on Netflix renamed "Top Boy - Summerhouse".In real terms the new 2022 "Netflix Season 2" is actually Season 4 of Top Boy. If I am right - its not too late to go back and watch the originals - there is only about 8 hours worth between Season 1 and 2.
@@steewith2ees14 unfortunately the actual first season (Summerhouse 1?) is no longer available on Netflix since recently. Apparently the license for Netflix to have it is revoked or something. Which sucks! Half of the backstory is gone.
Did you watch summerhouse before watching the last two series??? If not you've missed out and should jump right on that tbh, it'll help some of the storylines come fully together

@@abigailxmary Yes I watched summer house all episodes a few weeks ago. Loved it so now pn season 2 and loving it even more. Look how far they have com. Summer house was more grittier . They obviously have more money to work with you tell by the cinematography which is great. I'm happier for all who are part of the journey.

I would love to see Kano assume the role of Noel Clarke's character in Bulletproof. That series is a hidden british gem. Ashley and Kane have great chemistry, and would be refreshing to see them in a more light hearted, at times comedic setting. How unreal would it be to see them pull off two different sets of iconic characters in two separate shows? The irony of being top boys in one show, and top cops in the other. Also, would just like to see Kano in some more roles as I'm constantly taken aback by how good he is as Sully. Kano in Bulletproof - this needs to happen.
I was telling my daughter that yesterday because I really loved that show, and was really upset when they stopped it. Kano would make a good replacement.

Bulletproof is very underrated and definitely needs to come back on screen. Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters had good chemistry on that series too but that seems over with. Kano is a dope actor and his acting skills and how he portrays Sully is getting a lot better 🔥🔥 this could actually work replacing Noel with Kano and resuming Bulletproof 💯

I'm from America and really like this show. The culture in London is so raw, and these actors really show that through the characters. The most thing I am proud of, though, is black unity. America had a show called "Money & Violence." It was just as compelling but the brothers let ego and money get in the way. Cheers to these actors for sticking together and completing the mission. Thank you.

Season 2 is actually season 4, there were two seasons on channel 4 before netflix took the show. Netflix renamed the series top boy summerhouse, you need to watch them if you haven't because some things don't make sense without those two series...
